Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor) Empty Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor)

After her somewhat unsavoury encounter with one of her students Viktoria had decided that she would seriously go and speak to the Doctor about resigning or doming something that doesn't involve interacting with that many students.

Biting her lip and knocking on his classroom office's door, she hoped that he would be there, after all he was a very busy man and he would probably be out Time Travelling or at a meeting or something.

Waiting for him to answer his door Viktoria waited, wringing her hands slightly.

The Doctor waved his wand to open his office's door, revealing his lovely assistant, Vikki. He grinned at her and waved her in from his position over his desk, the TARDIS clamped to the desk as he used his wand to adjust it,

"Come in Vikki!" he greeted her happily, "I'm working on..."

He stopped and put his wand down, having noticed how she looked to be quite upset. The Doctor moved across his office to her, wrapping her up in a hug as he rested his chin on her head as he just held her,

"What's wrong Vikki?"

Viktoria smiled happily, well as happily as she could do, when the Doctor opened the door for her, extremely glad that he was in for her to talk to because she really did need someone to speak to about this, and who better than her boss.

Hoping she wouldn't do what she normally did Viktoria realised that she was going to anyway and as soon as the Doctor hugged her she began to well up.

"I...I..."

With a large sob Viktoria hugged the Doctor back and she sobbed further into his shoulder, it was something that she couldnt help but do when she was upset and saw someone she loved.

"I'm such a bad t-t-teacher!" she wailed

As soon as Vikki smiled, The Doctor knew something was wrong. Vikki's smile was usually so much more vibrant but it seemed there was something dampening her spirits. He held her tightly as he felt her beginning to shake a little bit, knowing that she was welling up,

"Shhh..." he cooed soothingly, "Let it all out Vikki..."

He held her tightly as she sobbed into his shoulder. The Doctor knew that no matter how long she cried for, he would be there to hold her. Blinking a few times, The Doctor looked down at her with some shock,

"Um... what?" he asked, genuinely not expecting such a declaration, "Why would you say that? You're a great teacher!"

At the sound of the Doctors soothing voice Viktoria shook lightly in his arms, with the effort of trying to stop herself from crying too hard, but then she realised that it was pretty useless and she let herself hug the Doctor closer to her.

"Im not cut out for this! I really can't do this any longer Doctor."

Crying softly, taking large gulping breaths in order to calm herself while she communicates to the Doctor, shuddering in the Doctors arms Viktoria nuzzled her head into his chest to get some sort of comfort from him.

"I'm so awful! I just had to...I had to say no...and he looked at me like I was horrible! I can't do it any more!"

With Vikki shaking in his arms, The Doctor was thinking rather angry thoughts about whoever had done this to her. He just held her for now though, giving her as much comfort as he could be holding her tightly to him. He kissed the top of her head,

"You are Vikki..." he whispered to her quietly, "You're one of the best teachers at this school to be sure!"

The Doctor gave her a reassuring squeeze as he stroked her hair gently. He was still making comforting cooing noises into her ear gently as he held her. When she nuzzled her head into his chest he smiled faintly,

"You're not awful!" he told her firmly, "It's not your fault you had to say no... I don't even know what he asked but I know you'd only say no when you had no other choice. What did he ask you to do?"

Viktoria chuckled softly through her tears as the Doctor told her that she was a good teacher, no longer sobbing she blinked away her tears, they still fell from her eyes but silently this time so that she could talk without having to pause to clear her throat.

Wiping away her tears Viktoria didn't let go of the Doctor.

"I'm not one of the best teachers in this school, I'm not even a good teacher, my students don't like me no matter how hard I try to be nice!"

Recalling the event with Tarragon Viktoria looked up at the Doctor, resting her chin on his chest looking up at him she hoped that he would understand why she was so upset and that she wouldn't be thought of as silly.

"Tarragon asked me to create a Quidditch team, but I said no because they're first years and they aren't allowed, and there isn't even enough for one team so they can't compete and he looked at me like I was awful."

Hearing Vikki's weak chuckle, The Doctor smiled a little bit more. He was being completely honest as well, Vikki was perhaps the best teacher in his school. In this school there were some rather dangerous people as teachers, Vikki was a good teacher and not insane in anyway,

"You're perhaps the best teacher here." he kissed her forehead gently as he held onto her tightly, "You're a nice person, a good teacher and you're also not insane. That's a good thing in this school! Hell... you're better than me!"

The Doctor stroked her chin gently as he looked down into her eyes. He smiled gently at her, to let her know that there was only going to be support from him,

"Quidditch... there aren't enough people involved with flying for that is there?" he smiled a little bit more before shaking his head, "Don't you worry Vikki... you made the right decision. He's eleven Vikki, the boy will get over it. Especially seeing as it was a very unrealistic idea, for just the reasons you've given me."

He gave her a squeeze in their hug,

"Seems to me that you were a very good teacher right there!" he smiled, "The fact that you're concerned shows that you're a good teacher as well."

Viktoria bit her lip and she moved away from the Doctor, she didn't want to do this any more and she wanted to leave as soon as possible and get away from that boy and her class who didn't appreciate her.

"I'm sorry but I refuse to teach him any longer, I won't teach anyone in my class any longer, either they dislike me because I am too nice..."

Pausing she sniffles and shakes her shoulders in an effort not to start sobbing again, she was sure that this is what she wanted, and she wouldn't be talked out of it, she couldn't bear the sarcastic manner of Tarragon again.

"Doctor I don't want to do this any more, he was horrible to me and I was only doing my job, I took points from his house for upsetting me and acting like he did though..."

Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor) Empty Re: Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor)

Post by Doctor Florence Nettle Fri Jan 20, 2012 6:13 am

The Doctor could tell that Vikki trying to move away from him was more than just a little symbolic. She'd been really hurt by the words of that one boy and he had no doubt that she'd taken it to heart and her gentle nature was making it hurt her,

"Well then..." he frowned, his expression becoming stoney for a moment, "Perhaps I shall have to instruct them in the error of their ways. No one will hurt you Vikki... not while I'm around."

The Doctor pulls her back to him, hugging her once again so that she could get her crying under control if she wanted to. He could tell that she didn't really want to teach anymore and that was rather painful for The Doctor, it was like she didn't want to be close to him. The Doctor stroked her cheek gently,

"You did the right thing Vikki, just like a good teacher should do." he smiled weakly, "I won't tell you that you wouldn't have to make a hard decision like that again but... can you reconsider? You really are one of the best teachers this school has..."

Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor) Empty Re: Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor)

Post by Viktoria Steinburg Fri Jan 20, 2012 6:27 am

Viktoria looked at the stoney expression on the Doctors face and wondered if she was being a little too over the top, but no, she didn't think that she could take one more lesson of someone looking at her like they disapproved of her it really did hurt her inside.

"I just can't seem to do anything right by them," a little childishly she muttered afterwards "Maybe Tarragon can teach them since he knows so much."

Sighing slightly as she was pulled into the hug Viktoria smelt the lovely scent that was the Doctors, it calmed her a little and made her think more rationally about things, and instead of being upset she began to get a little annoyed.

"I might give it one more lesson to the next break and see how it goes, to me, it seems as if they think I'm okay until they don't get their own way, it's really aggravating especially when I buy them brand new brooms, make sure everyones okay and try to make lessons fun!"

Viktoria wiped at her tears as fresh ones had fallen down onto her cheeks, nuzzling her head into the Doctors chest:

"They just don't understand how much they mean to me and how much they upset me, Lukas too doesn't seem to like me...they want me to be mean I can tell."

Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor) Empty Re: Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor)

Post by Doctor Florence Nettle Fri Jan 20, 2012 6:38 am

Shaking his head to clear it of thoughts of murdering 11 year old boys for hurting his assistant and to make his regular, non-stone, face come back. He played with her hair idly,

"Well your students aren't supposed to demand things from you, you're kinda supposed to demand things from them. Like work. And obediance." he told her before chuckling lightly, "Yes and I'll hand over my position to Raven... not happening."

Holding her close to him, The Doctor smiled faintly as they both simply relaxed against each other again. He rubbed at her back soothingly as he held her, nodding at her with a small frown,

"Yeah... sounds like you've been doing everything as best as you can and it's been a darnsight better than what me and the other teachers have been doing." he sighed a little bit, "I have an idea. I'll observe your lesson and we'll show them that they have to do what they're told."

When Vikki nuzzled into his chest again, The Doctor had to admit that he was sorry it wasn't under better circumstances. The feeling of holding her close to him made him feel warm and fuzzy on the inside,

"They want you to be mean huh?" he paused for a second before shaking his head, "Well that doesn't matter. They should do as they're told and accept your teaching style. Especially if it's good for them!"

Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor) Empty Re: Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor)

Post by Viktoria Steinburg Fri Jan 20, 2012 7:49 pm

Viktoria chuckled with the Doctor as he said that he was going to hand his position over to Raven, she guessed she saw his point but there was still a barrier that she was going to have to get past, the barrier of not caring about their reactions but doing what was best for the students in question.

"But you know me, I can't demand anything from anybody no matter how much I want to, when have you ever heard me be authorative in any way."

Unable to stop a small purring noise coming from her lips as the Doctor rubbed at her back, Viktoria began to slowly calm down from crying yet she was still very upset about what had happened.

"I don't want them to have to be told though, I wanted to be someone they could come to for anything like a big sister who also teaches them flying...but now I can't be that any more!" she wailed and began to cry again

Clutching at the Doctor harder Viktoria gulped slightly and tried to get the lump out of her throat.

"But what if it's not good for them?"

The Doctor also chuckled at the little joke about making Raven Highmistress. To be fair the german ministry had considered her. They chose him because he was deemed 'less likely' to go and kill them all one day. He raised an eyebrow,

"Mmm I don't know about authorative but you can be forceful when you want to be and that's the first stage to assuming direct control of your authority." he chuckled a little bit, "You're being a bit forceful now in your insistance that you're not authorative."

Glad that she was slowly beginning to stop crying, The Doctor noticed that she was purring lightly. He decided that it was incredibly cute and he'd have to remind her of it when she was feeling better. But right now he was just going to keep on comforting her,

"Well sometimes the best laid plans go wrong..." he whispered quietly, "You just have to make the best with what you have Vikki..."

He looked her right in the eyes for a few seconds so that she could tell what he was about to say with the truth,

"You care too much to do something that's not good for them... besides..." he grinned, "Since when was kindess not good?"

Viktoria bit her lip and she looked at the Doctor that was true she supposed but as she calmed down she realised that she had no enthusiasm whatsoever for teaching at all, she didn't really look forward to teaching the class and was dreading it a little actually.

"Well, I guess you're right, but I wanted to be nice and have them respect me, not having to be authoritative was one of the things I wanted to make sure I kept to."

Showing her selfish side, and her childish side for sure, Vikki turned away and stamped her foot lightly, she didn't want it to go like this, she wanted to go somewhere else and start all over again with new people.

"Well I shouldn't have to make do! I just want to start again somewhere else, maybe with Primary School children or something."

Viktoria smiled slightly and sighed softly:

"I guess that's true Doctor, I really don't want to face them again though, I'm really not looking forward to it."

Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor) Empty Re: Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor)

Post by Doctor Florence Nettle Tue Jan 24, 2012 6:04 am

To be honest, The Doctor's first passion wasn't teaching either. His first passion had always been inventing. It filled a need within him, something he wasn't sure he needed until he went a few months without at least trying to invent something,

"Well some kids just need more structure than others." he smiled faintly, "How about if you're just more strict and authoratarian on those who you feel need it."

The way that Viktoria pouted and stamped her foot was rather childish but that just made the action rather cute to The Doctor. Of course, this was a serious subject so he couldn't bring that up right now, it just wouldn't do,

"Well then..." he paused for a second, "How about you teach as you want to teach and deflect any discipline to me?"

The Doctor reached up and cupped Viktoria's cheek with a hand as he looked into her eyes,

"Well I'll be with you."

Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor) Empty Re: Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor)

Post by Viktoria Steinburg Tue Jan 24, 2012 6:26 am

Viktoria shook her head, now that she was in a mood it was very hard to get out of it, she frowned and sat down on one of the chairs in the Doctors office, it was something she wasn't familiar with, this feeling, but she was going to have to get used to feeling frustrated now.

"I guess I could do that, if you wouldn't mind having them? I know that they'll behave if they have to see you as a result..."

Sighing she tucked her knees up to her chin on the chair and wondered about what the students would think about her for doing this instead of doing it herself:

"No. No. I'll do it myself, they'll respect me even less if I can't hand out my own punishments, I just need a guide as to what to do when I need to discipline."

Viktoria smiled softly and looked up at the Doctor, she liked very sad but she didn't think that she could be anything different given the circumstances, it would be hard to get her happy again, sometimes she thought she was Bi-Polar.

"What should I do if a student offends me personally?"

Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor) Empty Re: Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now? (Vikki and the Doctor)

Post by Doctor Florence Nettle Tue Jan 24, 2012 6:43 am

The Doctor recognised that Vikki was going to be hard to pull out of the mood she found herself in but he was determined to see it through anyway. He sat down in the chair next to Vikki and wrapped an arm lightly around her shoulders,

"That's fine by me Vikki." he told her quietly, "I'll support whatever decision you make. After all, you're the one who has to teach the kids."

Vanishing the arms of the chairs that kept them separate, the two chairs formed up into a sofa and The Doctor hugged Vikki to him lightly,

"That's a valid point." he acknowledged with a smile, "So how about you handle the discipline but I'll give you a hand if you ever feel you need it. Just looking over any punishments if you feel they were too harsh later or something yeah?"

He paused for a second as he pondered the answer to that question. After a few seconds of just holding her, The Doctor smiled faintly,

"Well you can look to other teachers for examples of what to do then. Raven stabs them. I'd recommend only doing that to really annoying ones." he joked lightly before sighing faintly, "You have to find your own way. I'd suggest ignoring what they say if it gets too bad."
