Haley nodded. "Me neither," she agreed.
Attention wasn't her thing. If it was up to her, she'd like to have the ability to be completely invisible, just so she could relax and stuff without anyone's problem around her. She had so many problems that her friend had told, that she still hadn't had time to tend to her own.

He smiled back at Pxyis, then looked over to where she did. "It's a Hippogriff. Very proud creatures, don't insult them. It'll be that last thing you ever do." A Hippogriff. What a magnificent looking creature. I looked plenty dangerous too.
His suspicious were proven when the prof. said it would be unwise for them to ride it and that it would really only let her ride anyways. He didn't this it wise to argue with a teacher that knew what she was talking about and they didn't.
When Leshia said, "Does anyone else get the feeling that the Humphrey kid is a little short on the marbles?" Parker nodded a bit, sighing when she mentioned the part about attention.

Re: Lesson Four - Winged Horses
Airen kept his annoyance in check. Humphrey was a bit conceited. That much was obvious in the way he'd act around others. Even in Dueling he was arrogant. Biting the inside of his cheek, Airen looked at the Hippogriff in awe.
He was a sight, that much was true. He can't say that he wasn't glad that Humphrey didn't get to ride him. Airen instantly felt guilty for thinking that. Sure Humphrey was conceited, but never gave Airen the right to be glad at his pain. He needed to get the brown leather Bible back out soon before he forgot how he was raised.
Airen was awed by the Hippogriff. SilverTail was his name. He wondered why they were meeting him. Still leaning on the tree, he felt the sudden urge to draw Silvertail and his owner, Professor Girard. Smiling, he shook his head, trying to shake the urge. He was content to just watch. Besides, it wasn't likely that he of all people would be allowed to ride him.

Corinne descended the hill to the rest of the CoMC class, not surprised to see that she was most likely the last to arrive. She had been arriving to classes not as early anymore, she just wished she could curl up into a ball and stay that way for the rest of her life. She smiled weakly at Salina as she stood on her own, away from the rest of the class.
She stared at SilverTail, who had bitten her once when she'd attempted to ride him. From then on, she'd never tried that again but she did like him. If you brought him a treat, he could be very cuddly. Corinne clucked her tongue at SilverTail, who looked up when she did and shook his head at her. She smiled and walked over to him, stroking his neck gently. "Are we learning about 'ippogriff's today, sœur?" Corinne asked in a quiet tone.

"Non, ma sœur. Vous savez il s'excite autour d'autres animaux." Jacqueline murmured to her sister, before shooing her back to the rest of the class. Jaqui coughed to catch their attention and pushed SilverTail so he would move to the other side of her.
"Alright, class! Everyone who was 'ere last lesson, please 'and up your assignments by ze end of ze lesson! Zose of you who were not 'ere last lesson, do not worry about zis. I 'ave an easy lesson planned for today, as eet ees your last lesson," Jaqui smiled at them all and waved her wand, summoning a whistle from her bag. She caught it in her wandless hand.
Jaqui raised the whistle to her lips and blew once, a strange, melodic sound emitting from it that echoed. Out of the clouds flew 3 magnificent winged horses, one Granian (Grey and particularly fast) and 2 Aethonan (chestnut). "Zese, are winged 'orses. Zis lesson, you will be allowed to pet and ride zem - NOT in ze air! Eet ees very simple, zey will only go in ze air if you tell zem too, so do not worry about them taking off. You will get to ride zem around 'ere. Eef I see anyone in ze air, you will loose 20 'ouse points!" Jaqui said sternly, her gaze lingering on Humphrey.
"Do not worry about doing much zis lesson, eet ees more for fun. Next year, you will study Winged 'orses and another creature extensively, so zis ees just to get you ready," Jaqui informed them. "Ze groups will be as such," Jaqui looked at them all. "Parker and Pxyis, you will be riding ze Granian, Thowra. Haley, Airen and 'umphrey, you will be riding zis Aethonan," she pointed to the one with a white sock on its front left leg. "'er name ees Aellae. And you three," she pointed and Salina, Corinne and Leshia. "Will be riding Tofa." She pointed to the last Aethonan.
"'ave fun, and don't forget to 'and up your assignment," Jaqui smiled at them all, before turning her attention to SilverTail.

Re: Lesson Four - Winged Horses
Humphrey rushed up to the beautiful Aethonan Hippogriff that had a white sock on its front left leg. He knew it would be hard for him not to try and take off into the air, but he knew if he did then Airen and Haley would be mad about it for days. So he somehow managed to remain on the ground though it physically hurt his brain to stop himself from trying it. "Wow, this is such an amazing animal. It is interesting seeing a Hippogriff up close, I had only ever seen my reflection and pictures before. Oh, in case you guys didn't know it already, I am an Animagus. And my shifted form is a large Hippogriff." he told them.

Re: Lesson Four - Winged Horses
Chuckling darkly, Airen replied, "Yeah, we got that much." He hadn't meant for it to come out so sarcastic, but he was tired of putting up with the boy's attitude. If some one didn't teach him humility soon, then he'd be in for a rude awakening.
He walked up to the Aethonan winged horse. He petted the neck softly, stroking the neck from the front to the back. He'd ridden a few muggle horses, so he got the basics of handling them.
"Salve,(hello) Aellae, how are you, girl?" he asked as he petted the horse's face. She nuzzled his hand softly. Smiling, Airen continued petting the magnificent creature. He wanted to ride the her, but maybe Haley deserved to ride more than he did. She was firmer in putting Humphrey in his place.
"Haley, would you like the first ride?" he asked kindly, gesturing to the winged horse.

"I'm sorry, just a bit tired is all. My mouth is running before my mind can shut it up," Airen said, holding his hands up in mock surrender. He knew he'd have to tell the truth, but not in the middle of a lesson. They'd be docked house points.
"Let's just put this behind us, va bene (okay)?" he asked.

Re: Lesson Four - Winged Horses
Pxyis beamed as she was paired with Parker, and she got the prettiest Winged Horse there by far - in her opinion. "Come on," she grabbed Parker's wrist and dragged him over to their Winged Horse - it was a habit of hers to drag him. "Oh, wow." She murmured, stroking Thowra's neck.
"You, are gorgeous," she murmured to the stallion, she presumed, for she knew Thowra to be a male name meaning 'Wind' or something along those lines. "Parker, do you want to go first?" She asked as she tickled Thowra under the chin and giggled at his cute snort of protest.
Pxyis looked up in annoyance as Humphrey and Airen started arguing, and she rolled her eyes at Humphrey, returning her attention back to petting Thowra.
{OOC: Humphrey... WINGED HORSES and HIPPOGRIFF'S are different things. These are Winged Horses. Just a heads up. }

Re: Lesson Four - Winged Horses
Parker watched in awe as the winged horses flew down and landed before them, the grey one catching his eye especially, to which he grinned when he found out he'd actually get to ride it. He let Pxyis drag him closer and watched as she pet him. He'd never even been around regular horses, and seeing such a magnificent creature as a winged one, he was a bit afraid to touch or pet it.
When she asked if he wanted to go first he quickly shook his head no. "You go first- "

Re: Lesson Four - Winged Horses
Pxyis beamed when he told her to go first, not hesitating as she ran her fingers along his side so he knew she was there. "Okay!" She exclaimed, grabbing a fistful of his mane and draping one arm over his back.
His neck curled as he turned his head to face her, and she clucked her tongue at him. "Shh, Thowra," she cooed. "Im just going to go for a little ride on your back." She told him gently, raising her foot and placed it in the bend of his wing. She pushed up and pulled herself up and over. He snorted and flapped his wings a couple of times before settling them by her side.
Pxyis moved her legs so they were covered by his wings and rested them in the bend so they were more comfortable- and it felt more like riding a normal horse. She squeezed his side with her knees, and she used his mane to steer him as she walked him around the area, pushing him into a trot after one circle. She giggled as she did rise trot, before halting him in front of Parker and swinging off.
"Thanks, Thowra," she kissed the side of his face, and he nuzzled into Pxyis' neck. "Cutie," she teased him, turning to Parker with a grin. "Want some help?" She asked.

He smiled at how enthusiastically she went ahead and got onto the winged horse, watching as she made a lap and trotted around on it. He took a step back as she halted the horse in front of him and swung off.
When Pxyis asked if he wanted help, Parker nodded a little as he slowly approached it, reaching out to pat it's neck first.

Re: Lesson Four - Winged Horses
Haley smiled at Airen. She nodded. "I would really like to try," she said with a big smile, looking at the horse. It was so beautiful.
She stepped closer. She then petted the Aethonan horse. "You sure are beautiful," she said in a normal voice. Then stepping closer she whispered: "Do you mind if I ride you?"
She knew she might sound stupid, but she needed to ask this of everything that seemed holy. When Aellae neighed, Haley took that as a yes. She walked around to the side of the horse, and managed to get up on it in some weird way.
She looked down. "Wow, I'm so tall from here," she said amused, looking on as she got much taller than both Humphrey and Airen, not to mention professor Girard.
Haley grinned. She loved riding. She had done it a bunch of times back home. She wasn't an expert, but she was always happy on a horse's back. So when Aellae started walking around the room given to them, Haley smiled widely. It's wings was placed on the sides, sometimes flopping a bit. Slowly, Haley turned Aellae over in gallop. She smiled as the wind brushed her hair back. She kept going for another ten minutes before stopping back in front of Humphrey and Airen. She jumped off.
"Who's next?" she asked, feeling lighter than ever.

"Yea, Haley, just like a normal house. Remember, do not ask it to take flight, because it will. Say whooa to slow it down and pull back on the neck lightly. Dig in with your knees and say Giddy up to go faster. Wrap your arms around the neck just above the wings. Mount just below the wings. Don't pull out any feathers. Good luck, Haley." he told her.

Re: Lesson Four - Winged Horses
Jaqui was monitoring the students, and she clapped at how brilliantly Pxyis and Haley rode. Truly, they looked at one with their horses.
She walked over to congratulate Haley on her beautiful gallop, when she over-heard Humphrey talking to her about how to ride. "Humphrey, please do not speek like you know everything about zese creatures. First of all, she already knew NOT to ask eet to take flight!" Jaqui frowned at Humphrey as she crossed her arms. She did not care for his rude, snobbish attitude, she dealt with that enough at home. "Whoaa, does nothing to slow down zese animals! Zey 'ave been trained to respond to French, not English, but zey do know ze words 'Fly' and 'Good boy' or 'Good girl'. Thirdly, as I said zey respond to French, not English," Jaqui cleared her throat from all of her talking. "Fourthly, you 'old their mane, not zere neck. Zat ees what you do on a 'ippogriff, and zis is a Winged 'orse. Finally, do you see any feathers?" Jaqui pointed at the animal that looked EXACTLY like a horse, except for wings. "Because eef you see any feathers other zan ze ones on ze wings, you are delusional." Jaqui finished, staring at him sternly.
"I 'ave only known you for minutes, but you 'ave already succeeded in annoying me. Shut your mouth and do not speak as eef you know everything, you are only 11 and are not ze smartest kid on earth." Jaqui snapped, before turning and walking back over to SilverTail. "Children," she muttered to the Hippogriff, who squaked in response.

"Alright Parker, put your foot here," she pointed her finger to the bend under the wing that offered as support. "Grab some of its mane and swing up and over," she said simply, and then she could hear Prof. Girard scolding Humphrey.
"Yeah, so just nudge him to get him going." She said with a snigger as Prof. Girard completely told off Humphrey for acting like his usual self- annoying. "To be honest, i've never liked that Humphrey kid," her mind wandered back to the day in the Room of Requirement, and though they had apologised to one another, she still hadn't really forgiven him.
"Oh, and have fun." Pxyis grinned at Parker, adding that as an afterthought as she stroked Thowra's neck.

Airen sucked on the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing when Humphrey got told off by the professor. He knew it was rude to say sorry then laugh at the same person's failures. He looked at Haley as she rode. She seemed to know what she was doing. He smiled.
When she asked who was next, he looked at Humphrey who still had his head down in shame. Airen looked up at the winged horse. "I guess I am," he said hesitantly. He walked up to the winged horse and petted the nose once more. He mounted the horse like he used to in Italy.
He looked at the professor shyly.
"Profesore (professor), how do tell them to stop in French?" he asked in a small tone.

Re: Lesson Four - Winged Horses
Leshia, Corrine, and Salina got assigned a Aethonan named Tofa. Leshia looked over the creature and started to take notes on the creature. It was taller than her, but that says a lot she felt she was short. It was brown in color. She pulled out a little book that she was carrying that gave her a hole bunch of information on the animals so she wrote down her notes.
Leshia slowly walked up to the creature and was looking at it until it placed its head down as for her to rub its head. Leshia was very nervous about riding it, once she road a horse at home and had fallen off and hurt her arm and ever since then no running four legged animals for her.
Looking around at the other students to see what they were doing. If the professor ever looked towards her she would see how nervous she was. Leshia wanted to ride but was scared.

Parker looked to where Pxyis had pointed, going over to it's side and reaching up to grab a handful of it's mane, as he lifted his leg and struggled a moment before pulling himself up, and struggling another moment longer to get his foot over. He smiled at feeling so high up, he'd never ridden a horse before and could only imagine what it could have felt like to fly.
He held onto it's main tightly, looking down at Pxyis, smiling at her comment. He did sort of remind Parker or one of the kids in his neighborhood back home. He took in a nervous breath after she said to have fun. He hoped he didn't fall off or something.
He tried to give it a nudge to go, but it was too soft. So, he tried again a bit harder, and the horse then began to walk around slowly, letting out a snort and stretching out its wings before folding them up again.
