Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Parker's mother had put her toast back onto the counter as Pxyis turned to her. She just narrowed her eyes and raised and eyebrow at Pxyis' hand as she held it out. "Oh, so were ye just planning to sneak into me house without me knowin' were you?" She gave Parker a sharp look as she sighed and turned away grabbing her purse off the counter, shaking her head. "I can't deal with this right now. Or 'these' people. I'm late."
She quickly walked around the counter to the living room, and groaned at the carpet. "Don't bother, I'll probably have to hire someone to clean that up." She looked back to Parker and pointed her finger at him. "Yer father will be dealing with you." She made a motion to Pxyis. "And she's gone before he gets home." She then briskly walked out the front door, nearly slamming it behind her.
Parker watched that all happen in silent horror. He'd never seen his mother so rude to anyone like that, other then his father. He flinched a little when his mother pointed accusingly at him. She was acting so weird, what was going on with her? When she slammed the door, he leaned against the wall a little, looking down, both embarassed and ashamed. "Pxyis, I'm sorry..."

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Pxyis just raised her eyebrows at how outright rude this woman was. No wonder Parker hadn't wanted to return home. Pxyis' lip curled at the sharp look the woman sent Parker's way, and she almost told her not to be so rude towards her own son, when none of this was his fault. When she referred to herself as 'these' people, Pxyis let out a noise of outrage but she didn't say anything.
As the woman mentioned saying she'd have to get someone in to clean up the mess, followed by Parker's father dealing with him Pxyis felt her face burn with anger. No one was going to 'deal' with Parker, she would make sure of that. Not one person would ever lay a hand on him again. Pxyis kept her mouth shut as the woman stormed out the door, before Pxyis turned as Parker seemed to collapse against the wall, looking embarrassed. When he apologised, Pxyis rolled her eyes but did smile, which was followed shortly by her pouncing on him with a bear hug.
"What happened to you? What in the hell did they do? Im not an idiot, I can put two and two together. They were teasing you again, those bullies, weren't they? Let me at 'em." Pxyis half-joked, half-not. Then, she turned to the mess on the carpet. "Alright, let me just clean this up." Pxyis mumbled walking over to the spot. "Missy!" She called, and with a snap her father's house elf appeared with a bow, asking what 'mistress' required. "Can you clean that up?" Pxyis asked sweetly, pointing at the mess which was clean with a click of Missy's fingers, and then the elf had vanished.
Pxyis turned to Parker and rested a hand on her hip. "I fully intend on pretending whatever just happened then didn't, now go get dressed."

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
When Pxyis has pounced him with a hug, he hugged her back just as tightly, taking another deep breath. He felt terrible for the strange way his mother had just acted. Sure, she wasn't the most warm and kind person, but what had just happened was very foreign to him. He mumbled in Pxyis' shoulder, "I'm so sorry for that. I'm fine." when she then pulled away.
When she called out that she was going to clean it up, Parker had reached for her hand as she walked to the spot. "Pxyis, no, really. Don't worry about it-" He was absolutely not going to have her clean up his house. When she had snapped and the strange-looking creature had popped in out of nowhere, he took a step back, surprised. He thought he saw similar looking creatures around Hogwarts, having always disappeared moments after he entered the dorm room, it being freshly cleaned. He watched curiously as it make the dust and dirt all over the floor disappear and then pop away itself. He rubbed his eyes to be sure of what he saw seeing, wincing slightly from the barely visible bruise under his eye. And sure enough, the mess really was gone.
He blinked and looked at Pxyis when she turned around to him and ordered him to get dressed. He looked down at himself, dressed in rolled up pajama pants and a stained t-shirt. He hesitated a moment before mumbling, "I'll be right back," then turned and walked into first right door as he had told her to go to a moment before.
He rubbed his face, being careful of his still sore nose. What had just happened? His father would be mad. Inviting someone over without asking, someone they didn't know. Seemingly intending to sneak her in, and making a mess of the house in the process. He'd somehow bring his school into it as well, he just knew it. They hadn't said anything to him, but did they have a problem with the idea of...well, magic? He leaned back against the door a moment, resting his head back, trying to gather himself. After a moment or two, he took a breath and stood upright, changing into rolled up capri-pants and a loose t-shirt, and walked back out to the kitchen looking around, his hair still mussed up from sleep.

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Pxyis rolled her eyes as Parker apologised for his mothers behaviour. She honestly couldn't care less how rude she was, for Pxyis had after all just barged into her home through the fireplace and dirtied the woman's floor, which Pxyis felt horrible about. Next time, she would owl Parker before coming, asking small questions without revealing that she was coming, for her would be sure to stop her. "Don't apologise, I honestly couldn't care less." Pxyis assured him.
Pxyis ignored Parker's hand as he attempted to halt her, protesting that she shouldn't worry about it. Pxyis thought this was foolish, for how could she not worry about it? The least she could do for almost giving Parker's mother a heart attack was clean up after herself, and after all it would only take a moment with her house elf. Once Missy was gone, Pxyis turned back to Parker and motioned vaguely to where the house elf had been. "House elf, serves my family." She said in way of explanation.
As Parker informed he he'd be right back, Pxyis nodded and looked around as she waited, her foot tapping lightly against the carpet. Her eyes spied the box of brownies that she had sent, and she noticed it was open. Deciding she'd make a batch of muffins to send as an apology tonight, Pxyis pushed thoughts of Parker's mother out of her mind and replaced them with those of the bullies that she had come to sort out. She wanted to see how they treated Parker, and then she'd rip into them with everything she had.
Pxyis beamed at Parker as he walked back in, before her smile morphed into a wicked grin and she took his hand, dragging him out where she could see the front door and looking around the street with interest. She released his hand and noted that there were already a lot of kids outside, riding bikes and various other objects that Pxyis had no idea what they were. "Let's go for a walk, eh Parks?" Pxyis suggested.

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
When he had walked back into the kitchen, he glanced to the spot in the living room where the strange, apparently elf had been. What curious creatures he thought as he looked back over and he saw that Pxyis was looking at the brownies. He didn't know if his mother actually ate any, but he suspected so, not that it really mattered now.
Pxyis smiled brightly at him and he smiled back until that characteristic grin crossed her face. He knew she was up to something. When she grabbed his hand and dragged him towards the window by the door, he was worried she'd just walk them both right out of the house during the busiest time on the weekend. He watched her look around at the street as she released his hand, and suggested a walk.
He felt himself pale. Now would be the worst possible time to come out. He wanted her to have nothing to do with them and before they even closed the door today they'd surely have something nasty to say. He shook his head at her question, his eyebrows furrowed. "N-no. I just went out the other day. We can go later before me dad gets home... Now's not the best time anyways it's..." He paused to try to find a good excuse, but couldn't come up with anything. "Well, it's hot..."

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Pxyis knew that he really didn't want her involved in his business, she could tell by the way his eyes widened and that look of panic crossed his features. It was the same look of panic that he had held when grabbed by the Grindylow, and this only made her angrier at the bullies for causing him so much fear and pain. She was here to make sure that they never laid a finger on Parker again.
At his very lame excuse that it was hot, Pxyis looked up at the morning sun. It was barely even warm, especially with that cool breeze brushing against their skin, and the clouds lazily drifting in front of the suns gaze. Raising an eyebrow, Pxyis looked at Parker in annoyance.
"Really, Parks? That's the best you've got?" She rolled her eyes and laughed.
Feigning disappointment, Pxyis grabbed Parker's wrist and tugged him out onto the street, releasing it and shoving her hands in her pockets as they strode along. Already, the neighbourhood kids had begun to walk towards them like vultures, eyeing a dead carcass. It was un-nerving, and Pxyis hated that Parker would be scared to walk down the street just because he might see these kids. It was downright rude.

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Parker knew it was a lame excuse. Today was actually a bit cooler then it had been the rest of the week. Parker mentally cursed the good weather, for it was usually when the worst of things happened to him. When Pxyis laughed and said "Really, Parks? That's the best you've got?", Parker just shrugged a little and looked down at his feet.
He jerked his head up again, when she started pulling him by the wrist and he pulled back a bit as she dragged him to the end of his small yard. He already could feel the kids thinking up some way to humiliate him for their enjoyment. He felt his heart speed up as they got out to the sidewalk and began to walk. He kept his head lowered, and his fists clenched in anxious anticipation as he walked right along next to Pxyis.
Then it started. From behind them the sound a basketball bouncing had stopped as one of the kids that had messed with him the other day called out to him in a mocking tone, "Oi, who'zat Parky? That yer girlfriend?" One of the boys that previously had been trying to do a trick off the curb with his bike, stopped next to the one with the basketball. "Are ya kiddin', why would he have a girlfriend? He's a flamin' queer." The two other kids which had been trying to do the trick off with the other boy, laughed.
Parker bit his lip as he kept his head lowered. He just wanted to run back into his house with Pxyis. Away form here. Someplace where this wasn't happening.

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Pxyis felt the resistance of Parker as she began to tug him along, but knowing that he wouldn't yank or use his full strength - she fancied herself stronger than him anyway - she continued to drag him. Pxyis resisted the urge to hold his hand, for he looked so... she couldn't descrive it. It made her angry that these kids did this to him, and ignoring the looks that the bullies sent her way, she reached out a hand and took his, squeezing it lightly.
"Don't worry about it, Parker. I'm going to make sure they leave you alone." Pxyis assured him, squeezing his hand again as she released it quickly so the bullies wouldn't have something else to tease him about. Looking up as they all began to gravitate towards Parker, Pxyis frowned and clenched her teeth together in anger. She wanted to hex them all, but knowing that would get her expelled from Hogwart's she concentrated on her breathing.
Pxyis whipped around as from behind them a boy began to tease him about herself. Flushing as they called her his 'girlfriend' - from anger and embarrassment - Pxyis stopped and yanked Parker to a halt as well. She rested her hands on her hips and gave them the once over, wrinkling her nose in disgust. "Says you two," Pxyis snapped back, her mind racing as she tried to contain her anger. "Go pick on someone your on size you cowards, or are you to scared? Worried that the big, nasty other kids'll hurt your ickle feelings?" Pxyis put on a baby tone, knowing that was what really offended boys the most. Her lip curled in anger.

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
When she took his hand in hers, Parker didn't squeeze back. He glanced up a brief moment when she said she'd deal with the bullies. He shook his head as she looked back at the bullies. "Please, Pxyis...no." He groaned when she turned around and pulled him to a stop as well. He grabbed onto her arm and tried to tug at her arm, not looking over at the boys, nearly pleading. "Pxyis, please, can we just go? Don't do this now, please?" he could feel the alarm the rose in his voice.
The four boy had just laughed at her, not threatened or looking very bothered at the way she spoke to them. "Gettin' a girl t' fight for ya now, Parky?"one of them called out. Another yelled to her, "Why would we pick on someone bigger when he's small enough t' push around so easy?" Parker continued to tug on her arm, wanting to get away before they actually decided to go over to them and create a problem. He especially didn't want Pxyis to get so upset her magic got out of control.

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Pxyis ignored Parker as he pleaded with her not too. She had too, these kids were causing problems and she wasn't about to let them walk all over Parker. A slight snarl escaped her lips as they laughed at her, and she released Parker's arm, fearful that she'd clench it so tight it would hurt him. They completely ignored her and began laughing at Parker, before informing her that they enjoyed picking on Parker because he's so 'small'. Desperate times call for desperate measures, she told herself.
"I may have to lie a bit here, Parks." She mumbled to him, before stepping forwards with a hand on her hip. She flicked her hair over her shoulder, taking a deep breath so that she'd look calm and collected. She'd met this type before, and she knew how to get to them. Make the kid they were picking on look better than them. With a nasty smile, she eyed each of them off.
"Well, I don't think he's so bad. I am his girlfriend after all, and I don't see any of your girlfriends standing here? Why's that?" She snarled, before her eyes zoned in on a pinkish-cream coloured shirt on the boy that had asked Parker if he was getting a girl to fight for him now. Laughing, Pxyis spoke again. "Who bought that shirt, hun? Mummykins? Why don't you all go run along home to mummykins and daddykins, because it's almost nap time for the ickle bubba's."

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Parker looked at her confused when she said she might have to lie, and tried to reach for her when she stepped forward to them. He stood there, hoping she'd not do anything, and hoping the boys would not do anything either. He could practically feel the nasty look she was giving them. When Pxyis called herself his girlfriend, he stood still, a bit surprised she'd say something like that.
Parker startled slightly when the boy in the pinkish coloured shirt snapped at her, "Ey- don't go talkin' like that!" One of the other boys turned to another and said, "I don't believe her- how would the weirdo get a girlfriend anyways?" The one he said that to just shrugged, then took a step forward. "Where the hell are you from anyways. Parky here never even leaves his house-"
Parker took a step and reached for Pxyis wrist again, his hands shaking slightly, wanting to pull her back. Maybe if they left now, and left quickly, they could make it to the park with no problems.

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Pxyis rolled her eyes as the pink-shirted boy snapped at her, and she closed the distance between the two of them leaning right up into his face with a snarl. "Make me." She hissed, leaning back and taking a step back as well, arms folded over her chest as she sneered at them all. When they wondered between themselves how Parker even got a girlfriend, Pxyis' lip curled.
She turned to look back at Parker, who was visibly freaking out. She knew he didn't want her to deal with them, but if she didn't, he wouldn't, and he'd have to endure this every time he went out. She wasn't going to let that happen, these bullies wouldn't come near Parker once she was done with them, and if they did there would be hell to pay.
When one stepped forwards and asked where she was from, Pxyis' quick mind came up with a solution. "Oh, I don't know, perhaps the school for exceptionally intelligent young men and women?" She was proud of herself for that name, it made her and Parker sound like super geniuses. "So, as you can tell by the name, Parker and I's intelligence is far superior to yours. Run along now, daft and dumb crew," she made a shooing motion with her hand.
When Parker grabbed Pxyis and begun to tug her back again, she turned with him and looped her arm through his. "Oh, and if you ever come near Parker again, I will not be afraid to punch you." Pxyis tossed carelessly over her shoulder as she walked away with Parker, a smile on her face.

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
When Pxyis had gone up to the pink-shirted boy, he clenched his fists, looking ready to push her away as he sneered back at her. When she said that they were from a gifted school, another of the boys had scoffed, "Oh so a freak school? Think yer so much better and more clever, dontcha?" Parker really wished she hadn't said anything about that- it was what got his nose broken in the first place. He was a freak for being different for being smart and being different in the ways they couldn't understand.
Parker figured they were threatened, as those that bully usually are when dealing with things that are different or weird. Parker knew it happened all the time in nature, so why not with people too? Such ideas were what made him so complacent. He just accepted the fact that it was natural and he'd just have to 'suck it up' as his father told him. So he just wanted Pxyis to drop it and stop fighting against the inevitable. Once she left things would only be made worse for him.
Once Pxyis finally turned back to Parker, he hurried off with her, his eyebrows furrowed and frown set on his face. As they left the boys were just talking amongst themselves saying things along the lines of 'who does she think she is?', 'what a bitch', etc. She might have thought she had a victory over them, but Parker worried it was just the opposite for him.

As they left the boys were just talking amongst themselves saying things along the lines of 'who does she think she is?', 'what a bitch', etc. She might have thought she had a victory over them, but Parker worried it was just the opposite for him.

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Pxyis slapped this boy across the face. With a snarl, she stepped right back towards Parker, grabbing his hand tightly in her own in a vain attempt to calm herself down. She loathed when bullies picked on someone for their intelligence. It was petty jealousy over something the bullies could never have, and she wouldn't stand for it. She knew that Parker was smart, and there was not a doubt in her mind that they didn't know to.
"You ever come near Parker again, I kill you. Got it?" She hissed, her face bright red with rage as her fingers twitched to where her wand was in her pocket.
Pxyis sighed softly as she walked along at a quick pace, tugging Parker along with her. She heard the boys comments, and she couldn't help but roll her eyes. Hypocrites, they were. Calling her the rude when, when they were the bullies who picked on a sweet, innocent kid. She hated the lot of them, and would take pleasure in punching each and every one of them.
Rounding the corner, Pxyis slammed Parker up against a wall and pointed a finger at him. "You did not tell me," she seethed. "That they picked on your because you're better than them! You did not tell me," her voice had escalated into a slight squeak as she frowned. "That they called you gay! Merlin Parker, how can I protect you if you don't tell me?" She raised an eyebrow.

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Parker was tugged along with Pxyis, falling a few paced behind because of her quick, rage induced pace, his hand throbbing slightly from how tight she was gripping his hand. He was so glad they were able to just move away from them. Though the look of anger and embarrassment of being slapped on that one boy made him worry more trouble was going to break out.
When they rounded the corner, he was about to let out a sigh of relief except Pxyis had shoved him against the wall suddenly, knocking the air out of him. He tried to catch his breath as she pointed her finger in his face and started yelling, absolutely furious. "You did not tell me that they picked on your because you're better than them!" "Ow, Pxyis, I'm sorry-" Her voice rose even higher as she frowned."You did not tell me that they called you gay! Merlin Parker, how can I protect you if you don't tell me?" Parker looked down, feeling ashamed for what had just happened. He should have been more adamant about staying inside.
"I-I didn't want to get you involved in this- I just...There's nothing we can do about it. I didn't want you all upset about something we have no control over. It happens, and the best I can do is deal with it...it's my problem, not yours." He slowly looked up at her. "And I'm sorry, I know you were just trying to help, but I think you made it worse for me." He felt his chest tighten, realizing that he shouldn't have said anything. He pulled away from the wall and started walking down the street as he ran a hand through his hair. Maybe he could convince her to sneak back over a few backyards and to his house again. He really just wanted to go back, and there was no way he was going back down that street.

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Pxyis realised she had hurt Parker, and she released him quickly after pushing him into the wall. She bowed her head and mumbled an apology as she thought over what had just happened. She had come to the conclusion that she was a rash person. She had not thought it out at all, and she felt that Parker was annoyed and upset with her now. This thought led to one's of self-pity and hurt, for she just wanted to help.
Parker didn't want her help, she told herself. He wished she would leave him alone, not get involved. She knew that, and when he said that she made it worse, she took a step back and recoiled from him. Hurt flashed through her, and she felt her chest constricting. She couldn't breathe, it was so hard. In the course of less than an hour, she'd managed to make Parker's life worse. She couldn't help but then get angry, and she didn't know why. Suddenly, a white-hot rage swept through her and she turned away from Parker.
"Next time, don't come crying to me." She seethed, running away from him. She dashed around the corner and past the boys, who she could hear laughing and jeering at her. She ignored them as she ran, tears slipping down her face. She hated herself, because she was a horrible person. She didn't expect Parker to forgive her, and so she disappeared inside his house and dashed over to his fireplace. Pulling some floo powder from her pocket, she threw it into the fireplace and vanished back home.

Re: Letters From Me To You (Pxyis and Parker)
Parker had stopped and turned back to look at her, hoping she'd come along, but saw the pain on her face. She'd clearly taken what he said heavily to heart. He felt his chest tighten as he tried to think of something to say. He took too long though and saw the emotion flooding into her as she turned away. No. No. he'd not meant it in such a way. He opened his mouth his mouth to speak but she put him off "Next time, don't come crying to me." He felt like he'd been struck. He wasn't trying to go calling for her, begging for pity. It's not like he was trying to shove her completely away from him either. He just didn't want her involved with them, the bullies. He wanted to protect her and try to keep her from getting upset and something so futile.
As she started running, Parker began to go after her, but when she rounded the corner he froze, looking down the street at she ran back to his house, and back the other boys. He quickly started running round the longer back way, though he knew she'd most likely be gone and too late by the time he got there.
He was stumbling over himself, desperately trying to catch his wheezing breath, clutching his stinging side as he staggered in through the back door. He noticed the small amount of soot on the carpet by the fireplace and cursed to himself, barreling his way into his room, slamming the door, and falling onto his bed, groaning loudly into the pillow in frustration. He had no way to contact her now. There would be no way to apologize or clarify until school was back. Things would be awkward and strained between them, he knew it.
It was such a stupid thing. He shouldn't have said what he did. He should have just let her take control of the situation and not said a word. Just paste the smile on his face as he always did and let it go. But no, he had to be an idiot and say something. He should have never even mentioned his nose in the first place, or made sure he didn't sound sad in his letters, something. He just should have done something to prevent this. He had lost his only friend, even if it just was for the short time until school was back, and even then, he could have no idea if time would just make it worse. He could only wait and see.
