Lesson One - Second Years Empty Lesson One - Second Years

The Russian stood in her classroom, waiting for her students. She had grown close to the students throughout the previous year. They had even gone to the trouble of helping in her wedding. She smiled, she was really enjoying teaching this lot of kids. Hopefully, the class wouldn't notice the slight bump on her robes. It would be embarassing. For some unknown reason. She sat down suddenly, a pain shot through her stomach. She gave an annoyed look at the bump on her front. She watched as the door opened and her students entered.

"Guten Tag, class and welcome back. I can't wait to get through the year with you lot. Again. Anyway, I reviewed your papers from last year and they were brilliant. Now, we are coming on to the more practical approach of the Dark Arts." She gave a look at the students. "If I find that you are messing with this precise Art, you will be out of this classroom before you could say Avada Kedavra. Now, onto the work. Today, we will be learning about charming objects to do something Dark related. Today, we shall be charming a diary to write back to whoever writes in it." She handed out small leather-bound diaries to the students. "The instructions are on page 178 in Das Geheimnis der dunklen Künste. You may begin." She wandered around the students as they turned to the page required and then as they started the spell. It was extremely complicated and could go wrong if they made the slightest mistake. She remembered Urgaloff when he had made her the diary and it replied very rudely. She gave Urgaloff a nasty nose-bleed the next day. She laughed but was cut off by another kick in the stomach. She muttered something under her breath in Russian. When the students were finsihing off, she returned to the front. "Now, the diary is to be given to a friend or family. Get them to write a short review. I mean literally : Very good. Ten out of Ten. Easy as pie. Class dismissed."

Lesson One - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Second Years

Lucian walked into the class and smirked slightly, he noticed a slight bump under his professors robes but wouldn't mention it in case he hurt her feelings or drew attention to it if that's not what she wanted. He didn't know if other students would note it however.

Listening to the teacher tell him what to do Lucian grinned, he had never been able to do this before, none of his schools had covered the Dark Arts, and he was glad he had took this class.

Opening his book, Lucian looked over the passage, it was very difficult, so it would take him a while to do, making sure he had read it thoroughly, he tested the wand movements and then separately tested out the incantation so that he was sure it would be okay.

Taking the diary, Lucian completed the wand movements and said the incantation but nothing happened, frowning he tried again however this time he prodded the diary a little harder than before and he felt something happen, a release of magic.

Lucian thought he was done, and smiled.

Lesson One - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Second Years

Post by Erik Herrmann Sat Feb 18, 2012 4:48 am

Erik stared at the books in front of him, alternating between his textbook and the diary. He'd never heard of a diary that talked back to him and was positive that his father had never mentioned it in their studies together. With a shrug, not very confident in the lesson, Erik followed the description of the wandwork in the book. With the final flick, he looked expectantly at the diary. Nothing changed.

Leaning over to the student next to him, "so how do we know if we did it right?"

Lesson One - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Second Years

Aquila walked into the classroom and sat down at a vacant chair. Her mind was occupied with staring at the wall whilst she awaited the teacher to begin boring them with their lesson, and when she did talk Aquila decided to pay attention.

She frowned at what they had to do, it was going to be difficult. She turned to the instructed page and sighed at the mountains of words scrawled upon it. After reading through it all, she stifled a groan, this was going to be boring. She did as she was instructed by the book.

Finally, she wondered in hope if she had succeeded and looked up expectantly at the teacher.
