Ma Sœur (Tessa & Lina)

Salina scribbled her name on the end of the owl requesting that Tessa meet her in the library and sent it off to the Gryffindor tower where her younger sœur was. She moved over to her desk and stuffed some gear for studying into her bag before she left the dorm and vanished out of the common room. Her footsteps echoed loudly around her as she made her way down to the ever-changing staircases, and an eery silence - save for afore mentioned footsteps - made Salina slightly edgy.

As she reached the floor that the Hospital Wing was on, she hesitated. Her eyes trailed down the corridor to the double doors, and she contemplated visiting her twin. She drew herself up to her full height and forced herself to continue walking. She wanted to make Tessa feel at ease around her, and she wanted to bond with her little sister. That would not work so well if she was grieving at her loss.

Salina had arrived at the library as she mentally congratulated herself for being strong enough to walk away from Corinne. After all, the past must be let go of in order to move onto a better future, and Corinne was apart of that past. Her twin may not wake for 25 years, and Salina would not spend those years in sadness and clinging onto the memory of her twin. She would make something out of herself so that Corinne would be proud when she woke.

Salina settled herself into a comfy bean bag beside another bean bag, and she opened up her charms textbook and read up on Glamour Charms, scribbling down notes for the next SS meeting as she waited for Tessa.

When Tessa got the owl, one of the people she shared a dorm with read it to her. It was from her sister, Salina. It said that Salina wanted to see her in the library. She was smiling because Tessa really liked her older sister. Or maybe it was the idea that she had someone to watch her and look out for her. She then grabbed the handle on Yasmina and decided to walk up to the library.

She then walked into the library after a couple of minutes. Yasmina was finally getting around quicker, because she was getting used to the castle. She really didn't know what to expect, because she never had a sister before.

Salina looked up from her book and her notes as she saw Tessa, and she smiled softly. In a quick movement her book was shut and she had stood up. "'allo, Tessa." She greeted the Gryffindor girl and bent down to pet Yasmina. She pointed to the bean bag and ushered Yasmina over to it, effectively leading Tessa to sit down on the bean bag.

She eased Tessa down carefully into the bean bag, before taking her seat beside Tessa and toying with the edge of her skirt as she smiled. "'ow 'ave your classes been?" Salina decided to ask the small, traditional questions before moving onto the topic that she really desired to talk about more than anything else.

Yasmina then started to walk to the bean bag. She knew it was her job to make sure that Tessa was safe. Tessa smiled as she heard her sister. “ Hello Salina.” She knew that this was one of her older sister. Yasmina decided to go lay beside of the bean bag, because Salina was helping Tessa over. She was glad when she got to sit down. Tessa could feel the little beans in the bean bag.

She smiled a little bit. “ Classes have been alright. I mean I been answering a lot of questions.” Tessa knew that she could be comfortable with Salina. “ I am not sure that I like potions, but I am doing good in muggle studies.” Truth was she was the only one who lived with muggles. And it was only two slytherins in her class. So of course she would be doing good.”

Salina rested her hand on top of Tessa’s in a way to show that she was interested in what the girl had to say about her lesson. She hummed in agreement at the Gryffindor’s comment about Potions. She did not particularly care for the subject, but she was eager to find out what Tessa thought of CoMC.

“What about Care of Magical Creatures? Did you enjoy that lesson?” Salina asked, her tone slightly eager as she leant in closer to hear the girls answer. Thoughts of what she was to say next flashed through her mind, and a certain Slytherin also appeared within it. She had seen Tessa down at the lake by this boy, and had witnessed a rather romatic seeming scene. She had walked away before she saw to much, but she had decided she did not like this boy.

She knew what happened to blind girls. Eventually, a man would become sick of their apparent blindness and would leave them for someone who could see and appreciate everything they did for them. She could tell just by looking at him that he was a typical Slytherin, and she had no doubt in her mind that he would tire of her eventually. Salina could remember visiting the Crystal Lake before school started, a very beautiful girl had sat there, whilst the Slytherin who had been flirting with Tessa had flirted shamelessly with her, adoration in his eyes. It was why Salina wished to warn Tessa of him. She would not let anyone hurt her sœur, and it was in that moment that she knew what her goal in life was.

Tessa was grinning when Salina asked her about her Care of Magical Creatures class. “ Oh I love it, but I would have to say right after Muggle Studies.” She was still excited. “ Our first lesson was with Kneazles. I actually was with two Slytherins who were shocked to see me walk into the pen and just sit in the dirt.” This part made her laugh. “ But I had to write about my feelings, so I had to hold one. They were just like kittens.” Tessa was enjoying that she got to spend time with one of her older sisters. She loved it that she was getting to know Salina a lot better.
