Lesson Two - Second Years Empty Lesson Two - Second Years

Post by Cobalt Smith Tue Feb 28, 2012 3:46 am

Cobalt was sat at his desk, his right hand rolling a knife over his knuckles and fingers like other people would do a coin. The last lesson had become darker than before with the subject of assassination but the kids had to learn, at some point, that infiltration on it's own was worse than pointless. Sighing he looked at the subject on the board.

Exit.

Haley walked into the Infiltration Classroom, very determined. She hadn't been as participant as she wished to be last class, but she was going to make up for that now.

"Good day, professor Smith," she said calmly and sat down at a table in the front.

Exit? As in when they were running away from an assassination or something? Haley started thinking about that and came up with many different things whilst waiting for the class to start.

Lesson Two - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Two - Second Years

Walking in, she gripped her book tighter. She had recently transferred into the class and in some sort of luck, she was accepted. She noticed that there was only one person there, that Hufflepuff...Haley. Ah she had heard about her, and how Tabi and her had argued.

She looked towards the Professor and let out a small smile to be polite. The room was interesting, but her eyes trailed to the knife that he played around with. She looked at it curiously and didn't know what to do, especially when 'Exit' was written on the board.

Haley noticed someone walking in. She turned her head and saw Tess. She had met her at the last ball. She hadn't talked to her that much, but she knew who she was. Haley gave her a smile and gestured that if she wanted she could come sit next to her.

Lesson Two - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Two - Second Years

Victoria was curious what their next lesson would be on. She didn't have much experience with infiltration. Or anything sneaky really, outside of her imagination.

When she walked into class she saw the board. Exit? She wondered if her new invisibility cloak would come in handy if an exit was ever needed. Not wanting to give away one of her few secrets, she moved to take a seat.

Victoria saw Haley wave Tess over and grabbed a seat near her, figuring they could all sit together. She was excited to see Tess had decided to take the class now.

Airen entered the classroom. He saw the topic on the board, and he raised an inquisitive eyebrow at it. He thought it should say escape, but that was just him being picky about words. He mentally slapped himself saying, Don't be such a nerd. He couldn't help but crack a smile, inwardly.

He sat down in his seat, at the front of the class. He nodded his head at the professor, and his mentor.

"Salve (hello), Professor," Airen said, keeping things formal in front of his peers.

Seeing that she was called over by the girls, she walked over and sat down, a small smile on her face. She wasn't sure exactly who the Professor was, or his teaching methods, but she did know was that he was Charlotte's father.

"How's the class so far?" she whispered not wanting to be heard by anyone but them.

Haley smiled to Tess. "It's very interesting, and he's a brilliant teacher. He knows what's out there and he learns us so much," she said, just as low as Tess.

She didn't want to start chatting like last time, she figured it might have annoyed some of the others in the class. But she wasn't going to ignore people for it.

"But it can get scary," Haley then added as an afterthought with a smile to Tess.

Tess noticed that it wasn't so chatty, so she smiled softly and nodded.

'So it's a challenge hm?' she thought to herself.

She lowered her head and opened her notebook not wanting to lose points for Slytherin. If he was tough that meant the didn't appreciate talking too much so she knew that perhaps silence was for the best.

Lesson Two - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Two - Second Years

Post by Parker Emery Tue Feb 28, 2012 2:44 pm

Parker wrung his hands around the strap of his bag. He really hoped that class wasn't somehow worse this time. Why did he even bother? He hoped to never be involved with anything like what they were learning in this class. But thinking back on last year, unexpected things did happen...

He made his way into the room wearily, taking a seat...not in the front. Seeing the professor playing around with that knife unnerved him because of how skilled he imagined, no knew, he was with it.

Post by Charlotte Smith Tue Feb 28, 2012 7:25 pm

Charlotte entered the classroom expecting to be first like normal but when she wasn't she wasn't really bothered as long as people were enjoying her father's lesson that's all that mattered to her.

Moving to her normal seat next to Air she looked at the board and smiled lighly, it was something that always made her happy to have someone that she knew wanted her to sit next to her. It made her feel a lot more confident.

Exit? Charlotte thought, wondering what that meant and excited to find out.

Lesson Two - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Two - Second Years

Post by Keiba Namid Tue Feb 28, 2012 9:39 pm

Keiba entered the classroom quietly. She saw the Professor sitting up the front, twirling a knife around his hand. She hoped he wouldn't shove that through her chest as well this lesson.

Trying not to make the same mistake as last time, she moved up to the window seat. She didn't know if she wanted to talk to anyone this lesson. It'd probably help her concentrate better.

Noticing what was written on the board, immediately theatrical exits entered her head, and she laughed them off inside. As if any stage work would be done in Infiltration, of all classes!

Post by Cobalt Smith Thu Mar 01, 2012 9:27 pm

Seeing that his class had all arrived, Cobalt forced himself to stop playing with the knife, placing it slowly down on top of his desk lest he try to resume twirling it again. He coughed a little bit to get their attention before pointing to the board,

"Many of you will be wondering why the term 'exit' is on the board in an 'infiltration' lesson." he became with a small smirk, "Others are probably wondering why it's not 'escape'."

Cobalt shrugged a little bit,

"The answer is relatively simple." he pointed to the door, "That door is an exit. It's a means of escape. The window beside Miss Namid is an exit. And even the wall behind me is an exit if you have enough force."

He looked back at his students with a small smile,

"When you infiltrate a place you walk in. What good is that if you can't walk out because you don't know where to go?" he tapped the board, "There is at least one more exit to this room. The person who tells me what it is gets 15 house points."

Keiba looked curiously around the room. Door, window, wall... what else was there? She looked down, and then up, and it hit her. "Sir, is it the ceiling and the floor?" she asked, hand in the air.

((OOC: I would've said fireplace but I don't think classrooms at Hoggy have those Razz))

Lesson Two - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Two - Second Years

Post by Haley Vilde Smith Fri Mar 02, 2012 1:26 am

Haley thought it possible that it be the ceiling and the floor, but she had a thought herself that she wanted to give way.

"The ventilation system?" she suggested, her hand in the air.

"Or maybe some kind of magic that makes you evaporate or intangeble or unreachable?"

Looking around, she heard that more students were trying to answer. She frowned and her brow furrow as she thought over the question. She lifted her hand tentatively after all the students. This was going to be the first time she was going to speak in this class.

"Pipes?" she asked softly.
