Being upset ( Kasey and Tessa)

After class was over, Yas quickly ran down to the lake. She knew that Tessa was upset by what had just happened. Tessa couldn't believe that Kasey was trying to make her look like a idiot in class. She was to the point where she was in tears. But she knew that she shouldn't because someone might see.

She then sat down in the grass, petting Yas.

After class, Kasey had gone to drop off his things back in his dorm room, and was looking out across the lake from the tower's window. He didn't get a chance to read at the lake side last time, so he thought he would go by again. He had a new book to start anyways.

He made his way down the tower and across the grounds again to the lake. He'd not seen Tessa, the Gryffindor from class, sitting a bit away on the grass. He took a seat on a low boulder close by the water and opened his book.

Tessa then started to pet Yas. " Well at least you didn't think I am a bloody idiot in class?" This was one of the times that she felt like Yas was the only one who could understand her. She knew that Damien would, if he was around. " I know Yas, that you knew what I was talking about.I hated how that Kasey kid make me look.

She then bit her lower lip, Tessa could feel the blood. But she didn't do anything. She just sat there and started to cry to herself.

At first it was quiet, with small rocking waves of the water lapping up on the shore, but then Kasey heard talking. He didn't look up thinking some passing people were just talking as they walked. But then he heard the sounds of quiet crying.

He looked up from his book and to the sound. It was that Gryffindor girl from class. He noticed the dog by her side which he'd not noticed before. Why on earth did she have a dog? He didn't think they could have dogs here, otherwise he would have brought his own from home.

The fact that she was crying, and obviously upset, meant she didn't know he was there. He didn't want to ignore her and then have her look over and see him, and think he was eavesdropping on her. So he cleared his throat, loud enough for her to hear, shifting the pebbles on the ground with his feet.

Tessa then started to sniffle when she heard someone was clearing their throat. She then looked around, she hoped that it was Damien. But she knew that he would sit down and start playing with her hair. Tessa knew that it couldn't have been Leshia cause she was in the hospital wing. And she was sure it was Anne or Parker.

Yas then saw the Ravenclaw boy, she was barking at him. Tessa knew it had to be someone that Yas had never seen before. But she didn't know a lot of people from the school. She mainly keep to the people that she knew. Tessa then decided that she was going to say something. " Hello? Who is there?" This was starting to scare her just a little bit.

Kasey looked around as her dog started barking. She really should have it trained to be more well behaved, he thought.

When she called out who was there, Kasey looked at her a bit confused. Hadn't she just looked around? He couldn't have been that hard to see. The way this stubborn Gryffindor was acting was a bit confusing to him to say the least.

He sighed, closing his book. "It's Kasey...from class. Sorry to interrupt your crying, but I thought it would just be rude to sit here while you were."

Tessa then started to pet Yas to calm her down. Yas then licked her hand as to tell her that it would be alright.

She then remember that Kasey was the one who made her look like she was an idiot. Tessa didnt' care what he thought about her. She just wished that he would leave her alone. " Do you enjoy coming down here, taunting me. After you made me look like I had no idea what I was talking about. How about in Charms I make you look like a bloody fool and you tell me how it feels."

Yas then liked her hand again, trying to calm Tessa down.

Coming down and taunting her? What was this girl talking about? "I'd only come down here to read. I didn't even see you until a moment ago." he snapped back defensively.

Kasey stood up from where he was sitting, rubbing his forehead. "And that wasn't my intention, you know. It's class. You set down the facts. In my opinion were just too settled on specific details, rather then the whole picture. I didn't imagine an argument coming from it." He sighed, rolling his eyes.

"Oh really, I'd like to see you try. I don't really care what people think of me. If I'm wrong about something, then I'm wrong. I get over it, learn from it, and move on."

Tessa was shocked. " Yes I may focus on the details, they are what makes a picture." She then looked at Kasey. " I was just giving the facts about the Salem Witch Trails, and then you go and make me look like a blooming idiot." Tessa knew that she should let him she that he was making her made.

It was going to be her goal to point out all of his mistakes. She knew that he was staring at her, and she hated it when people would do this. It made her feel uneasy.

"True, but if you only look at the details you can't enjoy the painting as a whole, now, can you?" He crossed his arms, his book still in his hand.

He walked around the boulder he'd been sitting on, walking a bit closer. He was feeling even more irritated because of his lack of sleep recently. And couldn't help but take his crankiness out on her."Great, you were giving facts. But he had been asking about the secrecy laws. We just got a bit off topic and then you go spouting the whole muggle story of the witch trials."

"You Gryffindors are so stubborn, aren't you?? I honestly couldn't care less that I made you feel like an idiot. That's your own fault for letting it bother you."

Tessa glared. " Yes but you can't enjoy the pictures without all the details. Or even know the story." She hated that Kasey was pushing all the buttons to make her mad.

She could tell that he was getting close, just by listening to how he was walking. This was the first time that she had been mad since before she left the ophanage. " Yes but that story was important, that is how the whole Salem witch trails started. All with a girl who was a slave who was practicing witchcraft."

How she hated this boy. " Gryffindors aren't stubborn, at least we don't' try to be know it all like the Ravenclaw." Tessa couldn't believe that she said that. Both Leshia and her sister Salina was in that house.

"I think you can enjoy something plenty without every single details. If anything, it's just clutter." As much as Kasey found her to be irritating, she was a damn good arguer. She seemed to be just as opinionated as him. And that was pretty hard.

"I'm not even going to get into that with you, class is over, it shouldn't matter. This is a pointless argument that we're having." Despite that, Kasey wasn't going to let her get the last word in any of this.

He scoffed at her comment. "Actually, no, we all aren't. We just have a keen interest in learning."

Tessa glared. " You need every detail to get a story, without them there is nothing." She knew that she was getting on Kasey nerves, but she really didn't' care. There was a point to prove, and she was going to prove it.

" Yes but I am not finished with this, and it isn't just a pointless argument." This was something that Tessa was sure about. This was a subject that she would research for hours growing up. " I have been learning about the Salem Witch Trails a lot longer than you. I had to learn it from a young age growing up in a muggle orphanage."

She then heard that he wanted to continue. But she hated it that he was staring at her. Yas then let out a small bark.

"Look. You know those sorts of paintings, made up of all sorts of dots, right? Well, if you only concentrated on a dot, you'd not see the picture the dot was making. You'd not have the overall." he sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"What on Earth about this isn't pointless? We've a different interpretation on history. Nothing will change that." He rolled his eyes. "Great, and with that, you only get the muggle side of things. I've a witch mother and she's taught me plenty as well." Not to mention his paranoid muggle father...

Her dog then let out another bark, which seemed to only annoy Kasey more than he already was. "Put a muzzle on that thing will you? I swear, I didn't even know we were allowed to have dogs here..."

Tessa blink, she knew that he wasn't referring to history to connect the dots. She had never seen one, but she knew some of the girls would make them up. Just to have something to do in their free time. “ What is connect the dots?”

“ History repeats it self, or do you not see that.” She could tell that he was insulting her. “ Yes must be great that you grew up with a family. I don’t' know what my blood status is, because my parents left me”

Tessa then started to pet Yas, telling her that it was going to be ok and that Kasey wasn't hurting her. “ I will not let you tell me what I should do. She thinks that you are going to hurt me, and yes I am a loud to have her here. Because I got special permission.”

He groaned. "No, no, not connect the dots. They're called pointillism paintings or something. Where a bunch of coloured dots are put next to each other to make a painting- urg forget it!" Kasey gestured his hand up in frustration.

"Of course I see that. You're skewing my words, that's not what I was trying to say-" He gave her a disdainful look. "Pulling the orphan card won't get my pity. I don't care. You still grew up muggle. Bloodstatus doesn't matter."

Kasey crossed his arms again, looking down at the dog. Being so irritated and on edge, he felt particularly unobservant. "Special permission? Oh, for what??" he spat.

Tessa had never seen or heard of what he was talking about. But most things where still new to her. And that didn’t' mean that they weren't out there. There was one thing that she wanted to see in France. And it was all the famous paintings, but she knew that would never happen.

“ How am I skewing your words? I wish you would stop putting words in my mouth.” She was still angry and Yas could see this. “ I grew up only knowing about muggles, never knew I was a witch. I would love to see you live in an orphanage, and see how you like it.”

Yas could tell that he was talking about her and gave another bark. “ I am giving special permission to keep my dog with me.” She just wanted to scream. “ Unlike you, I need my dog to go with me.”

He shook his head and rolled his eyes again. "Yes, that's exactly what I just said! Do your ears not work or something? You were raised muggle." He then groaned, adding under his breath- "i don't mean that it's bad or anything, I'm just saying...you just don't know the whole picture of things."

"Oh please, I know I'd probably deal with it much worse then you. Plenty of people are orphans though, so your nothing special. It won't make me feel sorry for you."

He then huffed when Yas barked at him again. He raised an eyebrow. "What, a special service dog?? Pff, your kidding. Seems terribly behaved for a service dog."

Kasey had never wanted to hit anything more then he did during this argument. Not her, he'd never hit a girl. He'd never really gotten to violent with anyone other then his siblings actually, but he was getting so frustrated he thought words were almost about to fail him. Better end it before it gets any worse. 'Screw this, this is an entire waste of my time." He turned abruptly on his heal. "Have fun crying to the lake."

Tessa was to the point where she wanted to scream. “ I have never seen anything like that. But for that you must be able to see.” She knew that Kasey knew what was going on. But he was being what she would called stupid. How she hated him right now.

“ You think you dealt with worse than me? Are you kidding me. I would be given a task, and the headmistress knew that I couldn't do it. So that is why she gave it to me, if I didn't do it. I was beaten and yelled at.” She was still mad. “ I don't want you pity.”

She knew that he was talking about Yas. “ She is a special service dog, she just thinks that you are going to hurt me. Because you are yelling at me, Yas is my eyes for everything.”

Tessa then face in the direction that Kasey was. “ Well I should enjoying receiving whatever Damien gives you. I am sure that my boyfriend won't be to happy what you just did, and how you treated me.” She then was smiling at the thougth.

"Wait what?" He shook his head, glaring down. He didn't care to try to decipher this difficult Gryffindor.

He brought his hands up, rubbing circled into his temples. He could feel the headache now. "No! No. Actually, that's not what I meant at all. I meant it like you can probably cope better. It was actually meant to be a compliment." He could feel his voice raise, wanted to just be able to yell. "Good! Because you're not going to be getting and pity from me!"

He lowered his hands with a huff as he stalked off. He tried to ignore whatever else she was spewing off at him as he walked away. Then it clicked. Wait. ....that look in her eyes, need to be able to see a painting, her dog is her eyes.... as he neared the castle he nearly tripped. Oh, bloody hell...she's blind.
