On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)

On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Richard sat on the edge of the pier in the river, whistling loudly. Thankfully he was a good whistler and was one of the very few people who could whistle in-tune. Right now he was whistling the tune to a German rock song from quite a few years ago; Engel. Why? Well because he was looking to find a siren and sirens were apparantly receptive to music in any form.
Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Alianna had been wandering around a lot lately she found that she was lonely a lot of the time. Granted she had Jenna at home but she was never much to talk too.
While she was out wandering around she heard a very interesting shanty so of course being who she was she needed to see what it was coming from.
She had made it close to the edge of the water when she saw this rather handsome man standing there, and apparently he was the one who's singing drew her to him.
She was rather weary these days with the ones she talk to so she choose to keep her distance.
"Very interesting shanty you have there, are you in need of something?"
Most of the time when someone sings around where Sirens gather there is usually a reason.

Seeing that his little tune had suceeded in luring in a siren, Richard smiled in a friendly sort of way and waved at the woman/creature in the water,
"Afternoon there!" he greeted her cheerfully, "I'm Richard. What's your name?"
He grinned a little bit and clapped his hands before rubbing them together with a small chuckle,
"As to why I'm here..." he smiled at her still but his eyes hardened slightly, "I'm looking for some information."

Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Alianna smiled sweetly at this this man and wondered what he could possible want.
"Nice to meet you Richard, is there a last name that goes with that?" Alianna looked at him very curiously as if maybe she had seen him before.
"I am Alianna, Alianna Renour." She claimed
Alianna looked at him curiously by shifting her head from side to side.
"Information I have, as to whether or not you shall receive it, is left to be said."

Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
He chuckled a little bit and tilted his head to the side with an easy smile,
"Why yes it does come with a last name... but it might make you scared of me." he pouted jokingly, "It's not a nice name after all. It's a name that tell people I've done very bad things in the past. But I'm not here to do bad things. I'm here to have a nice chat so my last name might be counter productive."
He grinned and waved at Alianna,
"Lovely to meet you Alianna!" he chuckled a little bit, "I'd shake your hand but you're a bit far out."
Richard smiled a little bit,
"Well it all depends on the questions I ask doesn't it?" he replied with a grin before merely smiling faintly, "There's some of your fellows who seem to hold some ill-will towards humans... what's you're view about human/creature relations?"

Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Alianna wondered now what this man's name could be. Alianna never held anything against anyone so nothing would matter to her.
"Well have it you way I suppose, but what people have done are of no consequence to me." Alianna smiled.
She felt a little safer so she moved a little bit closer to where Richard was standing.
"Well even though I feel I know you, I choose to keep a distance for now." Alianna was still very curious about this man.
When Richard finally got around to the question she was a little unsure on how to answer things.
"Well it depends on how you will hold that information against me, I have a lot to loose with my answer."

Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Richard smiled at Alianna's response but he couldn't help but wonder if she would have changed her tune if she knew what he had done. After all, he was infamous for melting a man from the inside out by turning his blood to acid... purely for not getting out of his way when leaving a room. He smiled and nodded,
"Distance is not always a bad thing after all." he agreed before rolling his neck, getting a crack, "I work at Hogwarts, if that helps."
He chuckled a little bit and sat down casually,
"A wise answer." he looked up at the sky for a few seconds, "You have it, on my honour, that I will not hold your opinions against you."

Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Alianna just watched Richard with intrested and when he mentioned he worked at Hogwarts Alianna felt a little better and closed the distance between the two of them.
"A teacher at Hogwarts, many a creature attends there, some good, some bad. A person just never knows." Alianna smiled at Richard
"To be honest Richard I am torn as to which side I should choose, both sides have treated me good and bad."
Alianna looked into his eyes "What do you have to offer me for my information?"

Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Richard saw that when he mentioned the fact that he worked at Hogwarts the siren came closer to him. Apparently the name still meant something other than an object of fear for Germans,
"Yes I'm head of Slytherin house actually... but don't let that lead you." he chuckled lightly before shrugging, "There are many fully human people who go to the school. Some of them are bad and some of them are good."
He smiled a little bit, when she said that she was essentially neutral,
"Well I'm not asking you to pick a side just yet Alianna." he smiled at her before chuckling a little bit, replying with a joking tone, "The joy of knowing you've put someone's mind at ease?"

Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Alianna had to laugh at the mention of Slytherin. "Not sure if I should say congratulations, or give you my condolences." Ali had to smile still not ready to tell everything she knows.
"I will not disagree with you on that point, there are many evil people every where." Alianna sighed it was hard to know anymore who you could trust and who you couldn't anymore so many spies.
Alianna started to pace a little bit as she told a story.
"I honestly do not know if I could choose a side ever." Not sure where to go from here. " I Will spin you a little tail if you are willing to listen. Then maybe your questions will be answered."

Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Richard chuckled a little bit too. He'd heard all of the jokes about the house when he'd become head of Slytherin so there weren't any new ones,
"Yeah I get that a lot." he rolled his eyes with a small smirk, "Worse, people ask if they can 'slyther-in'... It gets old really fast that one."
He nodded silently. Didn't he know it. It wasn't too long ago, a few years at most, that he had been considered one of those evil people, one of those people who wasn't worth the time of day to the right sort of people and worth a bounty to the wrong sort. He nodded a little bit,
"Neutrality is always a valid option, no matter what people say." he tilted his head to the side in curiosity, "Sure..."

Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Alianna had to laugh a little at his little pun. "Yes some people can be quite annoying when it comes to stupid things like that."
Alianna found a spot near Richard to sit down to spin her tail.
"This is how I see things. It is not that the creatures are against the humans it is we just don't like war. We just all want to be happy."Alianna Stated.
"As for me, there is no way for me to stay neutral even if I wanted too, I my be full Siren, but my children are not. I was married to a wizard for a very long time until he was killed by the Germans." Alianna sighed
"In fact my daughter attends your school."

Richard chuckled as well, "Some people ARE stupid little things like that... lends to a rather annoying atmosphere at school sometimes."
Richard moved up slightly so that he tail was free to spin and wasn't going to hit him by accident and listened attentively as she spoke,
"You speak as if anyone truly does desire war... war is something that no human or creature want." he replied in agreement with her before frowning a little bit, "I am sorry for your loss."
He blinked a few times,
"Oh really?" he smiled, "What's her name?"

Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Alianna could not imagine how it would be having to deal with preteen and teenagers all the time and their drama. Then having to add all the adult drama on top of everything else. "Well I am glad it is you and no me, I cannot imagine everything you have to deal with at the castle, and do not want to either."
"No I agree that no ones wants war, but I do not believe creatures want to destroy the human either. Meetings take place and things are discussed, but destroying humans I do not recall being on anyones mind." Alianna sighed when she thought about the meeting so many peoples thoughts and ideas.
"I suppose everyone has to look out for their own kind, which I find is hard for me." Alianna sighs
"I have reasons to choose the creatures and I have reasons to choose the wizards. But then neither side was on my side when I needed them. My creatures shunned me when I took up with a wizard, but then your wizards didn't protect my husband when he needed it." Alianna was trying hard not to cry.
On a happier note she love to talk about Jaycie, she was so precious to her. "Jaycie Simple, Hufflepuff 1st year." She was trusting Richard enough with this information and hoping it wouldn't be her downfall.

Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Richard chuckled a little bit and nodded, he too realized the folly of having signed up to basically listen, and be a part of, teenage drama. He was just glad they were sorted at 11, if they sorted them later they'd all be in Slytherin from hormones alone,
"Yeah some days are worse than others." he admitted before shrugging, "But it's all worth it to see some of them really enjoying being at the school."
Richard raised an eyebrow,
"There's been meetings about this already huh?" he wondered aloud while he mentally began to think about holding his own meeting for humans, "Well I'm hoping that there isn't any hostilities. No one likes war as we both admit."
He nodded a little bit and looked out at the water,
"I understand." he told her quietly, "Wizard kind hasn't always been the most tolerant in existence."
When she told him about her daughter, Richard smiled,
"I've heard of little Jaycie." he told her with a smile, "She's doing good on all accounts."

Re: On the water's edge (Rich and Alian)
Alianna knew all to well what it was like to see a child light up when they were learning something. "Yes nothing beats seeing a child's face light up when you teach them something they are interested in." Alianna smiled
She was hoping that giving Richard this information was not going to cause much trouble, but it was not like she was giving detailed information, she wasn't that stupid.
"Meetings are very important it gives everyone's ideas on what is going on every where. Spy's are all over and one never knows the information that will be uncovered." Alianna thought giving cryptic information was better than no information. "I am sure there is probably a few that might be hostile but who really knows what anyone truly thinks."
Alianna really didn't want to talk about her husband any more because it has taking her a while not to hate the wizarding world. She completely blamed them and for the longest time and if it wasn't for her daughters being part of that world they would have left and not given a care for anything.
"Well Jay was always a wonderful young girl, and I imagine that she gets along with everyone." Alianna stated
