Exploring (Bri and Jake)
Not only was the maze a perfect place to make a kill, but it was also the best place to get lost in afterwards, nobody would know who did it because it could have been anyone in the maze at the time, and that was exactly how Briony had planned it.
With the smirk on her face Briony leant against the outer wall and sighed softly, it was just so tiring having to listen to the monologue of a dying German man.
It had taken a good few minutes to get the man to stop talking and tell her what she wanted to know, and then after that she had managed to kill him without further fuss. Deciding to at least complete the maze Briony rounded a corner and began to walk.

“Greg! Greeg! Come back here!” Jake hissed as he chased after his dog. They were already lost, and Greg most definitely wasn't helping. It was supposed to be a simple killing of this German geezer, probably a big shot, seeing as he was a spy and all, but then Greg had barked and run off!
Rounding a corner, Jake definitely wasn't prepared to run straight into someone, sending them both to the ground. His face was pressed against two soft mounds, and Jake found himself asking, “Am I in heaven?” before he even had time to think. Then, he blinked and looked up at the face of his employer.
“H-Headmistress!” he said, shooting to his feet and reaching out to help her up. “I'm so sorry. I didn't see you,” he said sheepishly. To the side sat Greg, wagging his tail happily. So that was why he ran off...

Re: Exploring (Bri and Jake)
Before Briony had a chance to do anything, to dodge or even stop herself from falling over she found herself on the floor with a strange man in-between her legs with his face in her cleavage, this was quite an unusual thing to happen, on both accounts.
"Hello to you too."
Smirking Briony stood up and dusted herself off, looking at the man who had bowled her over with a grin, she knew him, she had employed him of course, but to meet him here?
Well it was risky.
"Its nice to meet you again Jake. What brings you here?"
Briony asked as she glanced down at his dog: "How sweet." the words were forgein to her, she hadn't said 'sweet' in years.

“What brings me here?” Jake asked, trying to act casual. “Oh, you know, taking the old dog for a walk-” Greg gave a growl and a bark. “Alright, alright, taking the young dog for a walk,” he said. Greg seemed very sensitive about his age, for some reason. He always barked and growled at Jake whenever he called him old.
“What about you, Headmistress?” he asked, raising an eyebrow. “Just taking the bouncy twins for a walk?” Alright, so maybe that wasn't the best thing to ask, but Jake couldn't suppress his perverted human. That was like trying to make a fish stop swimming.

Briony couldn't help but grin at Jake as he tried to look casual, he was failing but she didn't really want to break his illusion at the moment. Leaning against one of the Walls Briony gazed at him intently for a moment, then back at his dog.
"Intelligent dog you have there, but it's a fine place to get lost, remember your way out?"
Winking Briony's eyes widened slightly and she chuckled darkly for a moment. It seemed like this man had no bounds when it came to perversion.
"No no no, the girls get enough exercise anyway."
Briony shrugged her shoulders and smirked: "I'm here on a job."

Re: Exploring
Her gaze was very creepy, as if she was deciding whether she was going to kill him or not. He really hoped that she wasn't contemplating that, and was therefore very happy when she commented on his dog. “Yep, smartest dog I've ever come across. I don't remember the way out, but he does.”
The words 'on a job,' accompanied by that smirk, sent a shiver down Jake's spine. Hogwarts' Headmistress was not someone he wanted to cross. He much preferred to stay on her good side. So, was it her scent, or the scent of her target that Greg had tracked down.
“How about you, then?” Jake asked. “Do you remember your way out?”

Briony smiled and stood up free from the wall, it seemed that she was coming across in a rather creepy manner, but she didn't mind, she was creepy, it would be a shock to the system if she was actually nice for a change.
"May I stroke him? You won't bite me will you?" she addressed the last part to Greg himself with a grin
With that Briony looked up at Jake again, waiting for his answer, and she knt down to smile a very very slight smile at the dog. It was the best he was going to get.
Straightening up Briony scoffed and nodded her head, of course she knew the way out, but she wasn't following that path, what would be the fun in just walking straight out like she knew she could do? Maybe she would walk with Jake now.
"Yes I do, but where's the fun in following that path? You're supposed to get lost!"

Re: Exploring
“Go right ahead,” Jake said with a nod as Briony knelt in front of Greg, giving him a smile. A smile! Well, it was more of a twitch of the corners of her mouth, but it counted as a smile! This memory was going right in his Pensieve. He bought the damn thing, so he might as well use it.
When she scoffed at him, Jake realized how foolish the question was. Of course the Headmistress of Hogwarts knew something as trivial as the way out of the maze. Jake must still have been a little drunk. It was strange how he could hardly even tell when he was drunk anymore. A wise man once said, you don't know you're a drunk until you come home sober one night.
“You're supposed to get lost?” Jake asked, blinking. “I don't think that's very smart... I mean, you could starve, or worse... dehydrate...” The very thought made Jake take out his hip flask of Firewhisky and take a sip.

Re: Exploring (Bri and Jake)
When Briony was given permission to pet Greg, her lips twitched up into a smile again and she touched him, albeit gently on the head, and ruffled his fur with a small smile. She did miss having a pet that had fur, her snake was by no means cuddly...well, it was to her.
"He's lovely, I don't think I could have a dog, they're lots of work to walk and I simply just dont have the time. I do like pets though, I have one myself."
The incredulous look on Jake's face told Briony that he obviously did not share her same thought pattern about getting lost. With a small smirk Briony shrugged her shoulders:
"Each to their own..."
Before pausing for a moment to think, and she smirked a little wider.
"But, you could always just send up distress flares, or if you got hungry charm something up I suppose...but you do have a point."

Re: Exploring
“Yeah, a dog can be a bit of a hassle,” Jake said, kneeling and scratching Greg behind the ears, “but you won't find a better companion anywhere else. Isn't that right, boy?” he asked Greg, who barked happily, his tongue lolling out as he gave Briony an adorable look that only dogs could give.
Jake felt a bit embarrassed when she talked to him like he was five, but Greg seemed to like her, judging by how he was wagging his tail happily. “Jake O'Shay doesn't send up distress flares,” Jake said, crossing his arms. “I've never needed to, and I never will.”
Taking another sip from his hip flask, Jake pointed down a path. “I think I'll take this way. Care to join me?”

Briony smiled and looked at Greg as his tongue lolled out and he gave, what even she had to admit, was a very cute look. It was not something that she was used to at home, Medusa didn't tend to look cute at any time of the day...
"That's why I prefer Medusa, my snake, just throw her some mice and she's happy...though she's not cute and fluffy..."
Raising her eyebrows as Jake crossed his arms and had, what she would call, an adult tantrum Briony couldn't help but chuckle lightly.
"Well then, you'd best keep me around so that you don't get lost then."
Briony nodded her head and moved off in the direction that Jake mentioned and she sighed happily, the weather was fine and she had just had a kill, now in company, she didn't see how this could get better, unless some firewhiskey appeared out of nowhere.
"You lead the way then."

Re: Exploring
Jake very easily hid his disgust at the thought of a snake as a pet. Snakes were creepy, in his opinion, though that may be Gryffindor bias on his part. Well, it was definitely bias on his part. Instead, Jake scoffed when she suggested that he keep her around so as to not get lost.
“Well, you can come along if you'd like, but I only need him in order to know where to go,” Jake said, pointing down at Greg. He pulled out his wand and waved it, conjuring a leash that he attached to Greg's collar. Better safe than sorry, after all. He didn't want to go chasing after the dog again, even if it did get him to cop a feel with his face.
“Well, Greg, lead the way,” he told the dog, who barked and started walking. A thought struck Jake, and he quickly added, “To the exit, Greg,” at which point Greg, who had been about to take a left turn, stopped and headed right instead. Jake sighed and took another sip from his flask, before holding it out to Briony.
“Want some?”

Briony's eyes widened, she hadn't met anyone who had spoken to her like this in quite a while, and, oddly enough, she quite liked it. It was nice to have someone who wasn't a kiss ass, or afraid to say something to your face around. It would keep her on her toes.
"Well I think I would like to come along yes. And excuse me, but do you have something against snakes, I was Head of Slytherin once you know...."
Smirking softly Briony walked slowly along next to Jake and looked at the walls of crystal around them, it really was a beautiful place to be, if not a little bright for her liking.
"Awwwww that's not fun, now I don't get to get lost..."
Briony pouted for a minute but at the offer of the hip flask she gratefully took it, sniffed it, and then sipped it cautiously, finding it to be normal and not laced with poision as her last gift of a drink had been she took a bigger sip.
"Just what I needed, I am very content now, all I need is...well...nevermind." she smirked

Re: Exploring
On sheer principle, Jake couldn't truly like anyone from Slytherin House, being a Gryffindor and all, so when he heard her remind him that she had been the Head of that House, he felt the smile dropping from his face, and he shook his head to himself. Slytherins...
The pout looked very strange on this woman, but luckily, it soon vanished when she took his flask, sniffing and sipping it. Checking for poisons, eh? Everyone were so suspicious nowadays, but checking a bottle he had already drunk from for poisons? That was a bit over the- Wait, what did she say?
“Was that a lewd comment from you, Headmistress?” he asked with a shrewd smile, raising an eyebrow.

Re: Exploring (Bri and Jake)
This silence from the man told her he didn't approve of something that she had just done, yet, she didn't want to end up dead on the floor like her last victim so it was good to keep herself wary of possible hazards even if it did lose you a few friends.
Briony smirked a little and chuckled softly.
"So what if it was?"
She raised her eyebrow in a mocking way, but not cruel like usual, almost friendly in fact. Briony rarely ever did anything like that...
"I'm human too you know! I like sex as much as the next person!"
Briony smirked a little and chuckled softly.

"So what if it was?"
Jake grinned at her question. “Well, you don't really look the part. You look more like someone who'd threaten to rip out my spine, rather than making lewd comments and chugging Firewhisky,” he said in amusement. Outside of school, she really seemed like a completely different person.
She seemed almost friendlier. She still creeped the hell out of him, but she did it less so than in school. Though in school, he was probably more worried about getting fired for drinking on the job. But hey, he had never been completely sober around her before, so she wouldn't know he was at least buzzed most of the time.
"I'm human too you know! I like sex as much as the next person!"
“Everyone loves sex, so I'm not surprised you like it as well,” Jake said with a chuckle as Greg stopped and looked around, before making another turn. Maybe Greg wasn't as good at finding his way out as Jake had originally believed?

Briony held back a laugh, it would have totally creeped him out to hear her laugh she would have thought so she merely sniggered and tried to stop herself from exploding with laughter, ahhh ripping people's spines out, she'd done that once...maybe twice...she couldn't remember.
"Hey, I would not rip your spine out. I'd be down a Professor then where would I be?"
Smirking Briony looked down at Greg, he seemed to be getting a little unsure but Briony was certain they were going in roundabout the right direction.
"I'm not as strict as I might appear you know, I'm pretty laid back when it comes to the rules at least, I don't care if you drink on the job, I don't really care if you maim or wound anyone either, but try please, not to kill someone on school property, them paperwork's a nightmare."
Briony smirked, and paused slightly as Greg decided which way to go.

"Hey, I would not rip your spine out. I'd be down a Professor then where would I be?"
Jake laughed, and he was very good at hiding the uneasiness he felt at that statement. She didn't exactly deny even ripping anyone's spine out. Sure, Jake had killed before. He did it only a few minutes ago, but he'd never torn anything out of his victims. Quick, clean deaths were the way to go for him.

Jake nodded. “Don't worry, Headmistress, I wasn't even planning on maiming anyone. Maybe threaten them or scare them half to death, but not maiming or killing. Drinking on the job, however...” Jake paused and took a swig from his flask, “...definitely.”

Briony grinned and she tilted her head back, looking up at the sky, and she bit her lip, it looked like the good weather was about to end. Sighing softly she looked back to Jake, the laugh that he emitted was something that put her on ease, it seemed he was finally relaxing.
"That's fine by me, threatening and scaring to death are the best way's of teaching in my opinion, but that's just me."
Shrugging her shoulders Briony looked around the maze, a noise had attracted her attention and she thought there was a person or maybe two around the corner so she tensed, ready in case she needed to attack.
"I drink on the job often. I can't teach sober. Don't know what I'd end up doing."

“We are a lot alike in that regard,” Jake said, still listening. “I haven't taught a class completely sober since 2005. After that, I couldn't deal with the brats sober anymore.”

Briony looked down at Greg, he had frozen apparently hearing the same thing that she had heard a few moments ago and this made her even more tense, it couldn't be someone coming to ask questions about the kill she had made...then who was it?
"It seems we might have someone listening to our conversation, but friend or foe I do wonder?" Briony asked, in a low voice
With an incredulous look on her face Briony smirked, well, they were more alike than she had put more stock in before, maybe they could have a drinking competition one time, she was sure that she would win...
"That's what I like to hear from my employees, drinking competitions are a must for anyone in my employ."

"It seems we might have someone listening to our conversation, but friend or foe I do wonder?"
"Well, judging by Greg's reaction, I can't say that it's a friend," Jake said in an equally low voice as he knelt next to Greg, taking off the leash but grabbing his collar so he couldn't get away. Wouldn't do for Greg to go running off before he got his orders, after all.
"That's what I like to hear from my employees, drinking competitions are a must for anyone in my employ."
Jake chuckled. "I could drink you under the table any day. I'm Irish," he said, as though that settled it. Then, he leaned close to Greg's ear. "There's someone over there, isn't there?" he whispered, and Greg growled lowly. "I want you to go get him for me. You know what to do. Go get him, boy. Attack."
Greg suddenly gave off a bark and rushed off around the corner, and within a second, they heard a cry of pain, along with a thud. Jake ran off around the corner as well and found a man dressed in dark robes on the ground, clutching at the head of Greg, which was between his legs, biting down hard on the man's crotch.
"Good boy, Greg!" Jake cheered.

Re: Exploring (Bri and Jake)
Briony thought that although useful it seemed a little bit odd to rely on your pet for information on spies or dangers around the corner, but as Briony saw him kneel down and whisper to Greg she wondered just what he was going to get him to do.
"Well, we shall soon see won't we?"
As Greg ran off around the corner, Briony smirked at hearing the person fall over with a loud thump, and a whimper of pain.
Rounding the corner herself Briony snickered as she saw the man on the floor with his crotch in the dogs mouth, it reminded Briony of the time she had de-manned that individual for something she couldn't quite remember.
"Well well well, what have we here?" Briony chuckled as she rounded the body "Were you listening to our conversation?"
Briony leant down and grabbed the mans hair, ragging it up so his head snapped up too.

"Well well well, what have we here?" Briony said, giving a chuckle that did not bode well for the man who was currently being emasculated by Greg. "Were you listening to our conversation?"
"Greg, off," Jake said as the man started painfully cursing the two in German. At least Jake thought he was cursing them, since he sounded pretty damn pissed off as he glared up at them, while clutching at his crotch.
"You know, if you're gonna torture him for information, I'm leaving," Jake said. "I don't really like seeing that sort of stuff, and I don't understand German, anyway."

Briony grinned as Jake called his dog off and she ragged the man up by the hair and pushed him hard against the wall, smirking she took out her wand and tapped it, softly, on the mans nose, she drew away slightly so it no longer looked like she was trying to kiss him.
"Who am I?"
"Ich weiß nicht! Ich weiß nicht!!!"
With that Briony sighed and merely stood, toying with her wand while the man continued to babble on in German, which of course she understood since her husband was in fact German himself.
"Frau Romain..." he eventually muttered
Turning to Jake Briony gasped, looking offended, placing her hand over her mouth she pretended to tear up: "Would I ever ever do such a thing? Besides, extra effort ive not been paid to put in, what should we do with him?"
(If you dont know German 'Ich weiß nicht' means 'I don't know' )
