Vero looked at the picture and sighed. Her heart clenched in fond memory. She wanted a papa so badly. A papa to hold her when she needed it. Sure uncles and aunts were beautifully kind and lovingly. Chazi, Aurin, and Zaxiel were kind and beautiful too. However, no one would replace her father.

"They're wonderful, Sam. I'm sure you love them." She murmured sweetly smiling. "Well acting like a kid is quite fun at times. Wouldn't you agree?"

Sam smiled " That's my real parents my adoptive parents.. Well let's just say they hate taking pictures" Sam said a little sadly she didn't like her picture taken either but it would be nice to have at least one family picture.

" Yes I would agree" Sam said smiling " And I have now idea how the brown came into my family they've all been black, blonde, or red haired I'm the first brunette" Sam added closing the locket and smiling at Vero.

Vero nodded and smiled. Aurin, Chazi, and Zaxiel didn't look a spot like her. Neither did her aunts or uncles but she didn't expect them too.

"Then that means you are quite the unique person. The only person who looks like me in family is my mama and that's because I'm her daughter. I'm sorry maybe you could just join my family." She suggest jokingly.

Sam smiled " Well as long as I'd feel normal, they make me feel like I'm a freak because of my scars they told people who asked that I had gotten into a fight, when what actually happened was much worse" Sam said sighing

" I just might" Sam replied jokingly and she gave Vero a smile " So what's your favorite class so far?" she asked

"I personally think that you're wonderful." Vero complimented smiling. Truthfully, everybody had scars. Some people had some more than worse but at the end of the day what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

"You know what people say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Help you stand a little taller." She added reassuringly.

"History of Magic, professor Moody seems like a really interesting person." She added smiling. "What about you? Have any favorites?" She asked.

Sam nodded " Yes I like that saying, and my favorite class is Defense agianst the dark arts" Sam said smiling at Vero.

Sam started to play with her locket " Ever hear a saying ' You have to stand up to be stronger'? " Sam asked hugging her knees no one has ever heard that saying Sam's the only one who has heard that saying, she smiled inwardly.
