Potions -Third Year: Lesson One Empty Potions -Third Year: Lesson One

Post by Angel Valentine Wed Apr 18, 2012 9:30 am

She relaxed on her chair as she sat there calmly. Ah her first students ever were now in third year. She smiled at the thought that she was there in third year. She smiled softly at the thought, she had a soft spot for them really. She now waited for them to enter wondering who had qualities to be a potions mistress' apprentice.

Airen entered the classroom. He looked around and took his seat at the front of the classroom. He smiled at the professor. He remembered all the potions he'd done. He pulled out his parchment, quill, and ink. He set them up neatly.

"Good afternoon, Professor," he greeted kindly.

Potions -Third Year: Lesson One Empty Re: Potions -Third Year: Lesson One

Post by Haley Vilde Smith Wed Apr 18, 2012 5:51 pm

Haley walked into the classroom with a smile. She really liked this subject, and though she had considered stopping having it, due to how many classes she had, she was now positive she wouldn't leave it. She liked potions. She sat down on a chair in the front, seeing Airen had already come.

Opening her books, she waited for the rest of the class to come.

Potions -Third Year: Lesson One Empty Re: Potions -Third Year: Lesson One

Post by Charlotte Smith Thu Apr 19, 2012 2:04 am

Charlotte walked into the classroom and even though she had thought that she was going to be late, she was on time, and it was going to be a good lesson she could tell, maybe she was just excited to be back at school and learning again, but she always held this enthusiasm for potions.

Smiling to Haley and coming to sit down next to Airen, Charlotte got out her books and parchment and wondered what they would be learning today.

Potions -Third Year: Lesson One Empty Re: Potions -Third Year: Lesson One

Victoria walked into class, surprised she wasn't the last one. She grabbed a seat near the front and got her things out.

Before Hogwarts she had rather enjoyed science class, but she had be apprehensive about the addition of magic so something so precise. After the last two years had been rather fun though. She really liked working in pairs, but wondered if they would transition into more individual work.

Potions -Third Year: Lesson One Empty Re: Potions -Third Year: Lesson One

Entering the classroom, she was surprised to see that people were already there. She sat down beside Victoria and let out a soft yawn. Recently she found herself to be very drained and wondered why, perhaps it was because her Animagus period was taking more energy from her core.

Nonetheless, she picked up her warm bottom liquid and drank coffee that she'd been given by the house elf Pancake.

"Mornin'" she murmured.

Potions -Third Year: Lesson One Empty Re: Potions -Third Year: Lesson One

Tabi thought she was going to be late but she discovered that the class had not started yet so she decided to go and sit close to Tess. It had been awhile since she had seen her and she hope she would still be at least one friend she could have. Of course she was also friends with Victoria, but maybe things could change and she could have more.

Sitting down a the table behind them she tried to smile a little.

"Hay Tess, Victoria. Have a nice holiday." Tabi knew she was being nicer than she used to be, but then she was too depressed to be mean.

Tess let out a tired, but wide grin towards Tabi. It had been a while since she last saw her, after all last time they had chatted it had been the beginning of their second year. Seemed she got very preoccupied afterwards, but Tess held no grudge.

"Good enough, slept a lot...miss it a lot now" she replied.

She was glad that Tabi was acting kind to Victoria despite her blood status, and wondered what caused this change in Tabi.

Potions -Third Year: Lesson One Empty Re: Potions -Third Year: Lesson One

Post by Angel Valentine Sat Apr 21, 2012 2:36 pm

Seeing the usual faces she let out a soft smile and got up. She hated to admit it, but for her third years she had a soft spot. Perhaps it was because they were her first students to be taught ever, or that they didn't really act out ever since their third year...perhaps the latter.

"Welcome everyone! It's good to see familiar faces, and while it'd be nice to chit chat over our breaks, I think perhaps we should get right down to business. This year things will change, for one thing you are being raised at a time of utmost peril, with rumored danger at every corner. I want to tell you that while Hogwarts is the safest place in all of the Magical world, we cannot take a risk. And as third years you surely were at the attack the first year. And for this very reason, I shall be teaching you potions or antidotes that are vital for this time. Alright?"

She didn't mean to dampen the mood, but she knew that she wasn't going to sugar coat it, if they wanted something sugar coated then they should have gone to Herbology. She rolled her eyes at the thought of her colleague Lily.

"Now, today we will be learning and brewing the Calming Draught, can anyone tell me a reason I would want to teach you this potion?"

Tess felt that the mood had definitely dampened as she heard Professor Valentine, in a very blunt manner say why they were learning potions in this type of category for their safety. It was nice in a morbid way, the way she didn't ignore the dangers and wanted to teach them something big.

She raised her hand tentatively and answered.

"Could a possibility be that you are teaching us in case we are ever dealing with trauma during a battle?" she answered in her question.

She hope she would never have to use it.

Potions -Third Year: Lesson One Empty Re: Potions -Third Year: Lesson One

Post by Guest Sat Apr 21, 2012 8:43 pm

Leshia was having a great week but knew she needed to get to classes so she made sure to get into them. Of course what a way to start out by being late to the first one, potions.

Slipping into the back of class she noticed that her sister was there so she decided she would go over and sit next to her and maybe they could work on the potion together.

"So are we learning anything interesting" Leshia thought to Tabi

Tabi smirked in her mind "Well isn't little Miss goodie two shoes late today"

"Oh just shut up and never mind" Leshia thought back.

Leshia nudged her sister and caught he laugh a little to herself. Leshia turned her attention back to the teacher.
