Aurelia hummed a little, she knew that there was something about this man that she liked, however she was not sure that it was going to always stay that way, after all his manner could come across as slightly arrogant, and that sometimes didn't sit well with Aurelia.

"Of course, there are many worse things to be called, names in these times are the difference between life and death after all, a German name in a British crowd has a limited life span as far as I'm concerned." she smirked a little.

Waggling her eyebrows Aurelia sighed and placed her hands on her hips, she should really be back at her laboratory developing her idea for a magical weapon, not here in a club, but everyone needed a break...even if this was still business linked.

"Any means necessary." she said seriously "I want the use of your army against any German forces that enter Britain without consent."

Silas raised an eyebrow at her response. He knew the stand point of the British Rebels only in the vaguest of ways. From what he knew, they wanted to defeated the Germans, not just win the war, but to cripple the Germans so that there would never be another war with Germany,

"I'm sure there are exceptions to that rule right?" he asked with a small smile, no more smirking now seeing as they were into politics, "But we're talking politics again. I hope it doesn't blow up at me again."

Silas had been teasing in his comments before but her suggestion was not only serious; it was also rather insulting. He stared at her for a long time, waiting for her to add something. Something that would make what she'd just said seem less insulting. She didn't speak. His eyes narrowed,

"The use of my army?" he asked in a quiet but firm voice, "You speak as if I would hand over the reigns of my army to you. I hope you have some good reasoning that doesn't make it sound like you think I'm not up to the job of protecting my country."

Aurelia rolled her eyes a little bit and she ran her hands through her hair, she decided that she needed to be able to tell him what he needed to hear and he would be able to judge her accordingly.

It seemed that they were just not going to get along and she accepted that, although she couldn't help but wish that this meeting had gone off in a different way, however he was completely different to the character she had expected him to be.

"Listen, I'm not saying you're doing a crap job at running your army, because everyone who reads the freaking Daily Prophet knows that, and I ain't about to insult you, the person I'm trying to get to do something for me." she said matter of factly "Truth is, I need your army to be my back up, when Germans attack Britain, which is what they do anyway and in return I'll give you a peice of my intel."

Silas was quickly becoming very serious and he wasn't happy about that. He'd come to this club to let off steam. He'd come to have a good time and to relax. And none of that seemed to be happening right now.

He sighed a little bit. Silas had always loved his army and when he'd been put in charge he didn't like anyone trying to talk smack about it. They were his men. They were his sons and his daughters, he was not about to let them and their sacrifices be rediculed,

"Perhaps I am a little too sensative." he admitted with a small smile. When she mentioned the piece of intel he raised an eyebrow before smiling a little bit, "If all you wanted to do was to get my support to defend our country then I will give you my support. Now... what is this piece of intel?"

Aurelia was glad when Silas seemed to be taking the bait as to what peice of information she was hiding from him, although she was not sure that she would be able to trust him as of yet and her desire to keep her creation secret was growing every second.

Frowning a little bit Aurelia decided to trust this man, he seemed trustworthy, and he knew what would happen if he decided to betray that trust that she had bestowed upon him.

"I'm currently working on a new magical weapon that will revolutionise the future of wizarding warfare. The only way you will ever get your hands on this weapon, is by working in partnership with me, and I know you will want this weapon, no doubt about it."

Silas was interested. When a woman like Aurelia Vance offered you something you paid attention because chances were it was going to be something amazing. She was known for being able to make some very interesting things happen at the click of her fingers after all.

When she told him about the new weapon she was developing, Silas frowned in thought for a second. The way she was talking you'd think this was the magical equal of the muggle nuclear bomb. And he wasn't sure it wasn't,

"That sounds like a serious weapon Aurelia." he noted quietly, glancing up at her with a smile, "Alright. I'm interested. How do we seal this deal?"

Aurelia was glad that Silas was getting more and more interested in the idea that she was pitching to him, of course she would need to work night and day in order to make this weapon, and to make it she would need finance which would come from the Ministry itself.

With a little chuckle escaping her lips Aurelia put her hand forwards to shake it with Silas', she was going to be able to finally do what she had wanted for so long, and in the future, she knew that she would be sucessful like she was in every business venture she did.

"We make an unbreakable vow, then I will tell you what the weapon is, but the vow, is that until we both agree we keep this idea secret until it is fully developed and made ready, and we both want to share the details of its creation. Okay?"

Silas had to admit that a weapon of the power and scope that Aurelia was suggesting would be a massive game-changer. After all if Britain had some kind of magical super-power then how could Germany possibly try and stop them? The answer was simple. They couldn't.

Seeing her hand out for him, Silas smiled a bit wider and shook her hand with a firm grip. The confidence that Aurelia shows that this weapon will not only be powerful but be ready relatively soon made Silas a little bit more excited,

"That sounds fair enough Aurelia." he agreed with a grin, "I'll accept that unbreakable vow right here and now. Should we get the bartender to be the one to bind us or should we push more magic in and do it privately?"

Aurelia could see that Silas was getting mroe excited about what was happening here between them and she was too, she was finally getting somewhere and with this manpower behind her she could not see any way that they could be stopped.

Not when they had the weapon that she was developing and the weapons manufacturer Kiera to mass produce it when they were done with it.

Taking out her wand Aurelia pointed it to her neck and she smirked as she said;

"I, Aurelia Vance, do hereby swear on my magic that I will keep the deal that Silas Gray and I have decided upon this day, the secrecy of the creation of this weapon will remain between the two of us until we mutually decide the weapon should be revealed."

Silas was glad that Aurelia was on his side because in all honesty she was someone who could get things done. Things that others wouldn't even attempt, ruling them out as impossible. In a way Aurelia made the impossible not only possible but actually happen. He grinned,

"I, Silas Gray, do hereby swear on my magic that I will keep the deal that Aurelia Vance and I have decided upon this day, the secrecy of the creation of this weapon will remain between the two of us until we mutually decide the weapon should be revealed."

There was a small pulse of magic and the vow was made. Silas loosened his grip but didn't let go of her hand. He kissed the back of her hand with a smirk,

"A pleasure doing business with you."

Aurelia smirked happily when Silas kept the contact between them after the vow had been made, it was nice to be able to get into the swing of a romance once more, even if it was only for one or two nights, since James...Aurelia had been more than cautious with her affections.

"I'm sure it is."

She winked in reply before looking out across the empty room, as if to double check that they were in fact alone and the privacy charms were in fact in place.

"Now that the vow is done, don't you actually want to know what the weapon is that you've just signed yourself up for having in your arsenal?" Aurelia asked with one eyebrow raised.

Silas was attracted to Aurelia and he wasn't afraid to admit that to her or to himself. What he was a little bit afraid to admit, at least to himself, was that he was attracted to Aurelia with more strength than he'd ever felt attraction to someone else before. It was like he was becoming addicted to looking at her and that was, in his own opinion, rather creepy,

"Oh are we back to the teasing?" he joked lightly before smirking, "I'm sure it is too though."

He smirked a little bit before nodding,

"I would very much like to know about the weapon you've promised me and our country." he agreed with a smile before smirking, "You tell me it and I'll even tell you our own little plan. It's nothing more than an idea at the moment but with your brains I'm sure that you could make it workable. But let's hear your surefire solution first."

Aurelia couldn't help but note that Silas kept looking at her an awful lot, it was very strange that she was getting so much attention she never normally had a man looking at her so much, it was kind of sweet though, and she couldn't help but smirk.

"Well now that my main point of business is done, yes I think that we should go back to where the night was starting off." she smirked lightly, picking up her drink.

Placing her hand on her hip, Aurelia drew out a very small vial of liquid from her shorts pocket and she held it up for Silas to see, it was something she had tried before and it was something she knew would work.

"This is the weapon, its a solution that can be put into darts and shot at the German attack force, or any German at all," she grinned "This liquid takes the magic away temporarily of the person that it comes in contact with, I should know, I've used it in my past enough times."

The smirk that Aurelia was currently wearing did nothing to comfort Silas. If anything it told him that he'd been caught staring at her and now this bad ass of a woman was going to give him hell to pay. Either by getting offended or by teasing him, either way,

"Well now that sounds like a pleasure to me." he replied as he lifted his drink with a smirk, to toast, "To you Aurelia. For being one hell of a businesswoman."

When she drew out the small vial of liquid from her shorts, Silas watched with rapt attention. This was the super weapon? This was going to be some kind of chemical warfare then? He peered into the vial,

"So this is the mysterious formula with which you and the squib twins fought against the magicals..." he smiled widely, "You made this yourself? You truly are a genius madam."

Aurelia, when she found out that Silas was toasting her her business skills made herself almost preen out of satisfaction, tonight had gone exactly as she had wanted it to, and there was only one way that it could get any better for her.

"Why thank you Silas, and to you, for being a story of success that this business woman just had to capitalise on." she smirked lightly. "Thats a compliment by the way."

Shrugging her shoulders when she was called a genius, Aurelia knew that she was scientifically gifted and that was all the vial required to make, the drive to keep going however, that is what she prided herself on.

"I should have known not to play God however, it lead to my own downfall however useful it might be." she said quietly.

He could see, when he toasted her business skills, that she was very proud of said skills. Silas could honestly see why, she was rather good at all this negoatiation lark. He had a feeling that this had gone a lot better for her than it had for him but he was surprisingly alright with that for some reason,

"Why thank you. I'm glad you clarified though, I wasn't quite sure how to take that." he teased her with a wink, "As long as I'm not just a stepping stone for you."

The fact that she just shrugged suggested that Aurelia was not only gifted but also rather modest about it. He wasn't a big fan of those who flaunted their superiority over others so that was good to him,

"Playing God?" he raised an eyebrow, "Why would you say that?"

Aurelia didn't know what tonight was, it felt the same way as when she had met James for the first time, and that was something that she was not looking to get herself into after all the heartache that she had gone through the first time around.

Frowning a little bit, she couldn't help but let her expression soften and Aurelia looked up slowly into Silas' eyes;

"Isn't that what most boys want from a girl, for them to be just a stepping stone? It's certainly what I want from the relationships I have, for purely personal reasons."

When he asked her about what she meant by her last statement, Aurelia sighed slightly;

"I was a muggle, once, until wizards reversed my serum and injected me with it, it was something that I had never thought would happen, but it did." she said quietly "So now I have become something I used to hate above all else."

Silas couldn't help the feeling he got that told him that he was the only one in this conversation that was interested in possibly seeing if they could be more than friends. It was honestly a little bit hurtful. It seemed that she had some past experiences that meant that right now she wanted nothing to do with dating or anything like that. He sighed slightly, well there went another woman who wouldn't be with him,

"And most boys don't really consider joining the armed forces as a career man to be a good dream. Guess I'm not like most boys." he replied with a small, teasing, smile, "I'm not going to critise don't worry."

When she told him her story, the reason why the playing god part of her scientific studies had come back to bite her, he couldn't help but think that it made sense,

"That makes sense... after all, how could you have been both the leader of an anti-magical group and a witch?" he shook his head slightly, "Do you know who did it?"

Aurelia's eyes widened a little bit and she laughed slightly, she was sure that there were many boys who wanted to join the armed forces as a career man, although she thought that many would not live to see that career that followed afterwards.

"Well that being said, I've never had a soldier before," Aurelia winked "Not a proper one at least, it's just something that I've never been able to do, maybe I finally will tonight?"

Teasing came naturally to her, it was something Aurelia enjoyed, although this serious topic was bringing her mood down a little bit, it was all too official for her now that business was winding down.

"Yes yes of course I do, I was waiting for my boys to come back so that they could handle him, I'm not getting my hands messy." she smirked "So now it's your turn to tell me about your plan."

Silas was a man of commitment. After all, he'd joined the army as soon as he was able to after all. But when it came to Aurelia he could tell that commitment was not an option right now. It was in the way she kept mentioning how she had one night stands. She liked it that way, for whatever reason, and if he wanted her then he would have to be willing to accept being with her only once,

"Oh really now? Well that's a shame for you Aurelia, we have the best stamina you could ever ask for." he teased in return, winking back at her, "Maybe you will my dear, I'm sure that you wouldn't regret it if you did."

He could tell that Aurelia wasn't liking the way that their conversation was quickly becoming more practical but it was something that had to be done,

"Good idea, let them do the killing." he nodded a little bit before grinning, "Simple really. We've learnt a spell or two to create gusts of pure oxygen... our lab guys tested out a small box of pure oxygen with a single spell of fiendfyre. The lab no longer exists Aurelia. We think we might have discovered a spell combination... that will work much like the muggle atomic bomb."

Aurelia couldn't help but smirk a little at the teasing, she was warming up to having Silas coming back to her home tonight, it would be nice to have someone else to come and warm her bed, it had actually been quite a while since she had last taken a partner.

"Oh my Silas, it's almost like you're attempting to persuade me to take you home with me tonight, is that what you really want?" she asked with a small chuckle "Because if it is I might be able to accomodate you."

When he told her about the bomb that he had attempted to create, Aurelia hummed a little, of course it was interesting, but she was a muggle once, why couldn't they just get a real bomb?

"Sounds like it could be something you magical guys should look into, I try not to use magic unless I can help it, so that's one for you to sort, my other Rebels might be interested in it though." she said bluntly "Speaking of which, I'm thinking of assigning one of them to partner with you and your teams, just so I have one of my guys on hand for you."

Silas could tell that Aurelia was enjoying all of this teasing, he was too if he was honest. It was a lot of fun to tease and be teased in return, a type of fun that he'd all but forgotten about over the years. Being a career man meant relationships didn't last all that long but they were hot and heavy when they did arrive,

"Oh I wouldn't pretend to be able to persuade a brilliant businesswoman such as yourself with tricks or sales techniques..." he smirked, "I'm going to flat out tell you that I would love to come home with you. And we'll see how you react to that..."

Silas had to admit that presenting this idea to a person who had probably had knowledge of real atomic weapons was not the best of ideas,

"Well I'll keep the magical guys involved in it. I can understand your reluctance to use too much magic." He blinked a little bit, "Okay, that was a bit sudden. Who did you have in mind?"

Aurelia liked a man to be upfront with her and this was the most upfront that she had ever seen him since they had met, of course she had dealt with Jack along the way to this moment, so somehow Silas didn't seem too bad in comparison.

"Well then you can see that I'm interested, I haven't run away or called you a pervert yet, it's safe to say that its something I would enjoy very much." she smirked taking some more of her drink.

When he said that it was a bit sudden Aurelia laughed a little bit, she had to admit that it was rather quick of her, but she just wanted the business out of the way to move onto more fun topics of conversation.

"Ophelia Zabini, I reckon she'd be a good match for you, clever and with morals, you'll get along well." she smirked "Quite pretty too, Im sure you wont object to that."
