On the water's edge (Viktor and Arachne)

Viktor knelt at the water's edge, muttering to himself under his breath as he touched the wet earth where the water met the shore. He traced a few symbols as his muttering grew quieter. Muttering a bit louder, but still without any real words, Viktor took a small amount of the mud on his finger and made a circle on his forehead. He paused, stiffening suddenly,

"Let me hunt once more as I did this day..." he whispered before washing his hands in the water, going back to normal. Reaching up, he washed the symbol from his head and sat back on the shoreline with a massive grin,

"Ah feels good to reward myself for a good day!"

Arachne giggled lightly as she followed the scent of the man that she had been shopping with before, she liked him very much, he had gotten her the snake purse that she was using now after all, and the time they had met up before she found herself taken aback by the beauty of his kills.

Tilting her head when she happened upon him, and hearing him seemingly talking to himself, she giggled again and hopped out of the shadow of the tree she was standing behind, to come down in front of him with her manic smile on her lips.

"Hey there Viktor." she chirped in a sing song voice before sitting down in front of him, instead of crouching there, so that her skirt wouldn't rise up and show something it shouldn't do, it was very short and tight fitted after all "Whatcha doing?"

Viktor blinked a little bit when a woman dropped out of a tree to stand next to him. He would have been alarmed by it was just Arachne, a woman he'd met before. Of course most people would call this a great cause for alarm but he wasn't exactly most people,

"Hey there yourself Arachne!" he greeted her brightly before laughing a little bit, "You been following me or something?"

When she asked him what he was doing he grinned. He pointed to the moon,

"I was praying to my gods." he told her with a smirk, "Thanking them for a good hunt and asking that they give me others in the future. I prayed to Nyos to let the blood of my enemies flow like a river. To Noneth that their spells and blows fell short and mine were true. And to Gamena... that their deaths were painful and slow."

Arachne hummed a little and let herself grin widely when Viktor asked her if she had been following him, normally people asked her that question when they met, mostly because she had been following them but still, it was always funny to see their reaction when she confirmed it to them.

"Of course." she grinned "I was merely happening upon your scent and decided to follow it until I found the source, you! I was bored and you were fun to play with last time."

Blinking a little, she tilted her head to one side, and Arachne ran her hands through her hair, before pouting a little bit, all this talk of gods and religion was making the conversation much more serious that she had wanted it to be, silly Viktor.

"Why so serious Viktor?" she pouted "You know I don't like being serious, and religion is just about as serious as it gets but whatever tears your eyeball."

Viktor wouldn't have been surprised if Arachne had been following him, it seemed like the kinda thing that she would do if he was honest. Althought he wasn't about to try and predict the emotions and actions of her as she was clearly quite mad and to try to do so would be quite mad in itself,

"Well I'm glad that you think I was fun to play with!" he told her with a grin before chuckling a little bit, "You still got that little snake purse I got you?"

Seeing Arachne pout, Viktor laughed a little bit. Oh people always thought that his religion was serious but in actual fact his Gods told him to do whatever the fuck he wanted. It was a pretty sweet deal,

"Oh stop your pouting and I'll stop telling you about my gods alright?" he offered before chuckling a little bit and sitting up, "You ever been fishing for a mermaid or a water nymph? Apparently they live around here. Want a go at catching them or should we find some land-based people to... play with?"

Arachne grinned widely and nodded her head, she really did think that he was fun to play with, maybe they would want to do some playing later on tonight, but she didn't feel like doing much of the things they had done last time, she had done that earlier today after all.

"Uh-huh! I sure do Viktor!" she grinned "I like it very much, I wear it most days, but not when I come hunting, I might lose it and then I would be very sad...it's a good memory purse."

Shaking her head, Arachne lay down on the grass by the lake and she giggled again, it was so nice to feel the cool grass against her skin, it was something that she always loved, it made her feel much calmer than she normally was.

"I don't want to play like how we played last time Viktor, I did that before and I'm tired." Arachne yawned lightly, scratching at the scars that she had allowed to remain healed, so she looked at least semi normal.

Viktor had to admit that 'playing' with Arachne was a lot of fun. It was like going out with Raven in many ways but Raven was so much more serious. And she seriously hogged all the fun. Arachne toyed with people and was a light and jokey kind of crazy that was perfect for him to get along with,

"Well good! I'm glad that you like it so much Arachne, it's why I bought it after all." he grinned before smirking, "That's some practical thinking right there. Don't want to stain it either right? Blood is a hell of a thing to try and get out of anything."

Seeing Arachne laying down on the grass, Viktor leant back from his sitting position to do the same. He sighed happily as he looked up at the stary night,

"Awwwww cute lil Arachne is all tuckered out from mutilating!" he teased her with a small smirk before chuckling, "Yeah I went hunting too. What else you been doing since I last saw you?"

Arachne giggled happily and shook her head, Viktor was so funny and she loved to be around the man, after all he seemed to be on the same wavelength as her in so many different ways. She was happy to be seeing him again, maybe he was glad to see her too?

"Well the bag is made out of diamanté so it would be easy to clean, and you didn't buy it silly Viktor! You stole it! That's why I like it so much, stealing is so much more exciting."

Turning onto her stomach, Arachne pouted cutely and shook her head, she definately did not think that she was cute because she had gotten herself tired over mutilating some jerks body. It was far from cute...wasn't it?

"You think that funny things are cute Viktor, most people would think that was scary or wrong, or something like that...not cute." with a grin Arachne continued "Nothing much, just the same things as usual really, yourself?"

Hearing Arachne giggle made Viktor smile. It was a strange thing to hear such an innocent-sounding giggle come from someone who took so much enjoyment from killing others. He ended up chuckling himself when he realised that he chuckled and laughed when he killed sometimes as well. Perhaps he was just as mad as Arachne,

"Ah well that's true I suppose. So when it does get bloody you just wipe it clean on their clothes!" he suggested with a smirk before chuckling, "Buy... steal... it's all the same thing in the end. All ends with you getting what you want after all."

Chuckling softly at the way that Arachne turned on her belly to pout, Viktor rolled over onto his belly as well and smirked at her. She was rather easy to make pout he had to admit,

"Yeah I guess I do but we both think that scary things are fun so why not have them be cute too? Besides you're really cute when you pout like that." he told her happily before chuckling, "Oh you know... teach some kids... kill some british rebels... kill a whale... all that stuff."

Arachne nodded her head with a happy little grin on her face, she loved the idea of wiping the blood on somebody elses clothes, it really was a fun idea, however she hoped the she wouldn't get blood on it in the first place, it wouldn't be fun to get some stuck in the diamanté.

"Thats very true Viktor." she purred happily "I like both, but I prefer to buy things using different methods than money....after all, why waste good money when you can use something else?"

Smiling broadly when Viktor turned onto his stomach, Arachne reached out and poked his nose with her fingertip, before looking at his eyes, looking into his cold eyes and stopping in her tracks for a moment. They were very beautiful eyes.

"Oh those guys, I fought with one of those, he burnt me Viktor." she pouted "It really hurt, it still does. Did the person you fought hurt you too, I suppose you weren't silly enough to get hurt." Arachne pouted, huffing slightly.

Viktor had to admit that talking so freely about things that would normally horrify people, and knowing that she would just find it fun, was rather liberating. It was hard work having to censor himself all the time. For the students, for the people around him... it was nice to be able to relax like he was around Arachne,

"That's a good point right there Arachne." he commented with a grin before chuckling a little bit, "Using someone else's money is also fun but sometimes the fun is in the taking itself. The having is somewhat of a let down most times to me."

When she poked his nose with her finger he wiggled his nose and gave her a mock pout. He saw her looking into his eyes and he did the same. But when she seemed to pause he got a little concerned. He was interrupted in his thoughts though when she spoke,

"He burnt you?! Where?" he asked, milding panicked and very concerned. He shrugged a little, "One of them cut me pretty good. Across the chest but it's healing."

Arachne purred happily when she was told that she made a good point by Viktor, normally she didn't make good points, normally she made ones that were kind of stupid but she saw sense in them anyway, regardless of what other people thought or believed, they often ended up dead anyway.

"Why don't you burn your money then?" she asked, tilting her head to one side "Sometime I do that whenever I have muggle money, coins don't really burn that well, and they're fun to flick at people."

Seeing that Viktor seemed to be concerned about her, Arachne understood how he felt when she too felt concern at his own injury, he was cut? How dare they cut him?! Next time she saw one of those rebels, she would repay the favour tenfold.

"Yes, they burnt my arm...and the top of my shoulder, but..."

Suddenly Arachne moved and sat next to Viktor, running her hands over his chest, with a small blush on her cheeks;

"Are you hurt badly, Viktor?"

He could tell that just such a simple piece of encouragement had meant a lot to her. It was strange to think that it did, to be honest. If something that small meant so much to her then that meant she didn't get very much encouragement at all. It made him want to give her all the more praise. He raised an eyebrow,

"Burn the money? Mmmm not a bad idea. Never really tried it I have to admit." he told her before chuckling, "Flicking coins eh? You ever kill someone like that? It's freaking hard!"

Viktor was concerned for Arachne. He didn't want her to be in pain at all, let alone having a burn anywhere on her beautiful body. Immediately he paused in his train of thought. Since when had he though of her as beautiful? Even if it was the truth,

"They did?" he asked before hissing, "Tell me who would dare to harm you and I will see their head removed from their neck!"

He calmed down a lot though when she touched his chest. When she asked if he was hurt badly he merely unbuttoned his shirt to reveal an angry red cut in the centre of his chest going horisontally across the top of his chest,

"It's not that bad..."

Arachne nodded her head vigerously when she was asked if she had ever killed somebody by flicking a coin at them, technically it wasn't really flicking, more like dropping from a great height, and with a bag of coins not just one, although the more she thought about it the sadder she became.

"Well I did once, but it was a bag of coins and it was from far up off the top of a building, so I suppose it would be hard to attempt to kill someone with just one coin." she pouted lightly "I'll make sure to try it though, in the future."

Smiling softly, Arachne tilted her head to one side, trying to remember, she knew no name, so how would she know who it was who had harmed her in this manner?

"Well he was Irish, and it was an attack in the Hidden Village." she hummed "I don't know his name to tell you though Viktor, and who harmed you? I shall ensure they too are harmed for their crime!"

Arachne blinked as Viktor unbuttoned his shirt and she cautiously ran her fingers along his cut, before lowering her head and kissing it gently, planting small kisses all along the red line; "There, I kissed it batter."

Viktor chuckled a little bit at her enthusiastic nodding but raised an eyebrow when she suddenly seemed to become more subdued until she was pouting. When he heard her story he just chuckled a little bit and grinned,

"Closer to flicking than I was." he told her with a smirk, "I filed the edge to a point and slashed his throat open. Nasty but I didn't think I'd be able to flick it well enough."

Right now he really wanted to know this man's name because he wanted to know the name of the man he was going to kill next,

"Irish you say?" he paused before shrugging a little bit, "It might be some kind of coincidence but the guy who cut me was Irish too. Was yours a squib like mine? Name was James Irvine."

The way she ran her fingers lightly against his half-healed cut made Viktor smile. But when she kissed it better he grinned wider before getting an idea of how to do something he'd wanted to do for awhile. He gently cupped her cheek with his hand before leaning in close,

"Arachne..." he whispered before kissing her gently, pressing his lips against her soft lips.

Arachne looked up from her gentle kisses as she heard Viktor chuckle and smiled at him, it seemed that he did enjoy her kissing him, which was strange considering what he knew that her features were like, but she wondered if he knew that underneath all of her features, she was actually nothing like she looked.

The only thing that was the same was the scars, the rest of the features were just charms, enhancements and magic, should she choose it, she could appear entirely normal, and she appeared that way now, her teeth were normal and her scars were now made invisible.

She wanted this to be special.

"V-viktor?" she half asked, half whispered as he pressed his lips to her own, closing her eyes Arachne gently kissed Viktor back and she placed her hands on his shoulders, before winding their way into his hair as they kissed, before she gently broke apart and she blinked softly "Why did you do that...so gently?"

Viktor had to admit to himself that not only was she beautiful but she was just the kind of person he got along with best. But it was more than that he thought. For some reason, when he looked into her eyes, he found that he didn't want to look away. He just wanted to keep looking into her eyes.

She had changed her appearance for now. Her teeth were normal and her scars seemed to have either melted away or gotten less distinct. She looked down right normal. But to be fair, he thought she looked beautiful however she decided to appear.

As they kissed, he wrapped his arms around her to hold her close to him as they kissed. He loved the feeling of kissing her, it felt amazing. His own fingers found their way into her hair. When the kiss broke he smiled softly,

"Because I've been waiting a long time to do that..." he told her in a whisper before kissing her gently again, "Since I first met you I've wanted to kiss you... softly. To show you how happy you make me feel."

Arachne fluttered her eyes closed once more and she could not help but think that she was in some sort of dream, she had never been kissed in such a tender manner, it made her feel like she was beautiful, for the first time in her life since she was small.

Gently she returned the kiss that Viktor gave her, she gently worked her lips against his own and allowed her hands once more to be intertwined in his hair, so long and soft, and with it she gently deepened the kiss, before breaking away with a small blush to her cheeks.

"I make you, happy?" she asked, almost in disbelief "When I and you first met....but I was so...so strange and I am still as strange as I was then, do you love my strangeness?"

Tilting her head to one side, Arachne gently nuzzled her nose against Viktor's neck, kissing his skin gently;

"So how do I make you feel?"

Viktor could see Arachne's eyes fluttering closed as he kissed her as softly and as gently as he could. He wanted her to feel as beautiful and as desired as he thought of her and the best way he thought he could do that was by kissing her like a lover.

When Arachne started to return the kiss he smiled happily even as they kissed, his own fingers playing with her hair gently as he held her closer to him than before. He wanted her closer to him and he wanted her to be with him like this fore longer,

"You make me very happy Arachne." he told her with certainty, "You were a little bit strange but that didn't matter to me. You were beautiful to me then and you are now Arachne. Your strangeness? That's just one of the things that makes you who you are... and so it one of the things that makes you beautiful."

When she gently began to nuzzle his neck, kissing it lightly, he thought about how she made him feel. He closed his eyes slightly before answering,

"You make me feel..." he opened his eyes and looked deep into her eyes, "Like I'm in love."

Arachne felt herself being pulled closer to Viktor and she allowed him to manipulate her limbs, to move her as he saw fit, because she trusted him, but above all that she wanted to see what he would do, she wanted to be able to have him do what he wanted with her, because that would be what she wanted as well.

Running her hands down the smooth skin of his back, Arachne broke from the kiss and rested her nose upon his, gazing into his eyes as she thought about what he had just said to her, what he had just told her about his feelings.

"You think me beautiful...I don't know who you're looking at when you say that but, I'm glad that you think that all the same Viktor. I think that you're kinds beautiful too." she whispered gently.

Blinking a little bit, Arachne blushed gently; "I make you feel that good Viktor...like you make me feel?"

Viktor could tell that Arachne was willing and wanting to kiss him as much as he was for her because she allowed herself to be moved by him. It felt like a symbol of trust that he was being allowed to move her when she was so vulnerable right now. His fingers ran through her hair slowly, exploring her hair and it's feel in his fingers as they kissed.

He matched her gaze when she looked deep into his eyes, nose to nose. Her hands running across his back made him shiver pleasantly and he wanted nothing more than to continue to kiss her,

"When I say that you are beautiful I think of no one but you Arachne. Your beauty is as unique as you yourself are." he told her before chuckling a little bit, "You think I'm handsome?"

Seeing Arachne blush was a surreal experience because of who she was. She wasn't someone you'd expect to see blushing after all. He nodded honestly,

"Yes... you make me feel that good Arachne." he told her in a whisper before his cheeks reddened slightly, "You feel like... you love me?"

Arachne nodded her head happily when Viktor asked her if she thought that he was handsome, with his ice blue eyes and his long blonde hair, how could she not think that he was handsome, but just looking at him with his shirt undone was more evidence than she needed to show that he was handsome.

She almost didn't want him to cover himself back up, but her stronger more possessive urge meant she didn't want people to be seeing Viktor like he was now, he was only to be seen like her like that.

"Yes I think that you are very handsome Viktor, your eyes are so cold, and yet so beautiful at the same time. I like them best about you I think, that or your hair." she thought aloud, while running her hands over his cheekbones while gazing into his eyes.

Honestly Arachne answered;

"I don't know what you make me feel Viktor, but I know that it is a pleasant feeling, and I want to feel it more often."

Viktor, despite all his calm and poise, had to resist the urge to blush when Arachne admitted to finding him handsome. It was strange that having her confirm that she did made him feel as if he should be embarassed. But it was also nice to have it confirmed because at the moment the only things she seemed to be paying attention to were his eyes and his hair. Never mind the fact that he was virtually shirtless here.

He chuckled a little bit when she told him that she either liked his eyes or his hair the best. Looked like he was right in his little guess as to what she liked about him then. He couldn't help his cheeks reddening a little bit though,

"Thanks Arachne... I'm glad that you think I'm handsome." he smiled wider, "I only want to be handsome to you for some reason. Only want you to see my like this... is that weird?"

He smiled a little bit,

"Well that's fine by me because you make me feel that way too." he smiled and kissed her lips softly again, "We can have more of those happy feelings together..."

Arachne wondered if it was strange that she liked the idea of Viktor's hair and his eyes better than she liked his chest which was on display to her now, she closed her eyes and let herself lean against his body, letting each other warm up together.

"I apologise if it is weird that you think that I find your eyes attractive and not as much as the bare chest in front of me." she mused lightly to herself before looking up at Viktor, kissing his jawline.

Grinning softly, Viktor seemed to have thought exactly the same as herself, and she was most happy that he did;

"No, that was exactly what I want as well. I want you all to myself Viktor." she smiled gently, tracing her finger against his cheekbone once more, it was nice that she was allowed to be so close to a person again, without them being dead or dying.

Returning the kiss, Arachne purred gently.
