Potions Lesson Two - Second Years

Evangeline was once again sat in the office that she had been given by Briony, it was strange the way that she had been asked yet again to come and cover for potions, she was so sure that when she started talking about where all the students friends were now residing in the afterlife...she would not be asked back.

With a small sigh she waited for the students to arrive and she wondered how many she was going to get showing up today, she thought that none of them would likely turn up, but then again they might decide to get themselves here.

On the board in her neat and small writing, the potion they were brewing today was written;

'Ageing Potion'

"Hello professor,"Melody before sitting down.

Veronica entered the classroom and quickly sat on the seat behind Melody. She couldn't believe Melody could actually looked Professor Webb in the eye without being afraid. To Veronica, Professor Webb was almost the definition of creepy.

Evangeline blinked a little bit when she saw that her class was now here, they were very small in number but she didn't supposed that really mattered, what mattered is that they were here and they wanted to learn something, it would make her job a whole lot easier.

Her silvery gaze fixed on each student before she turned to the board and wrote up the method for the potion that they would be learning in todays lesson, she often found this potion particularily usless but, she wasn't human, therefore had no use for it.

"Today's topic is ageing potion, you use this potion to age your body which will help you I suppose in getting into clubs and buying alcohol if you are underage, it is what many young people use it for. The method is on the board, you may begin."

'Ingredients:

2 Snake Scales
2 Ravens Feathers
1 Cup of Armadillo Bile
Infusion of Wormwood
3 Lacewing Flies

1. Put a base potion on heat and wait until it is simmering before adding the infusion of wormwood.
2. Once the potion has turned a dark green you may add the two raven's feathers one at a time at one minute intervals between each other.
3. The armadillo bile can then be added, after this, stir the potion three times clockwise
4. Add the three lacewing flies after this, tap the cauldron with your wand and then wait until it turns a light green colour.
5. Finally add the two snake scales and the potion should then be a lime green colour, once it turns this shade, take it off the heat and place into your vials for testing.'

Really she wasn't planning to sneak into any bars but the potion might still come in useful for all she knew.Melody made the potion properly and then put it into a vial for testing.
