Potions Lesson One - Third Years

Evangeline was getting more and more settled into her role of professor here at Hogwarts and she was even beginning to want to come to lessons, where as before she had merely gone out of boredom and to have a quiet place to clean souls away from the world, she often liked to do this while sitting down lately it meant that she improved her skills but that she also could do other things at the same time, where as if she was doing the rounds physically it would take her so much longer and she would be far more tired when she had finished.

With a small smile on her lips she sat in the middle of a ring of cauldrons and their eerie green light reflected on her pale skin, the book for the potion recipie open in front of her, Evangeline waited for the others to appear, her scythe set on the wall behind her, it was pleasant to be down here when she was alone, and she hoped that the arrival of students would not ruin this calm and almost serene atmosphere as the base potions splashed lightly against the side of the cauldrons.

On the board she wrote down the lesson topic for today;

'Calming Draught'

"Hello professor,"Melody said before sitting down.The professor looked more relaxed than usual maybe it was because of the calming draught.

Evangeline saw that there was a student in her class, noted the time and she thought that it would be time to start the lesson, drawing herself out of her thoughts with only a faint glow of her eyes showing that she was now ready to teach the lesson. With that same neutral expression on her face she stood, and walked over to the board where she tapped the lesson topic.

"Today we are learning about a calming draught, there are many different types and strengths of draught but can you tell me one of the ingredients found in almost every version of the potion?" she asked the girl sitting in front of her, she seemed to be somewhat excited for the lesson to begin.
