Jacqueline turned to Charlotte, and smiled warmly. "Eet ees fine! You are not zee only one zat was late. What we are doing ees feeding, and playing with zee animals so zat we can record eet's appearance and other things about it. Zis is to be 'anded up at ze end of ze lesson. You can go with Salina and Leshia," Jacqueline waved in the direction of the two Ravenclaw's, before turning to point her wand at a bunch of toadstools. She waved her wand and transfigured them into tables and chairs, before flicking it and causing the tables and chairs to set themselves up like a classroom, her own table and chair up the front.

[ And its fine, I understand the time zone differences. I live in Australia, so I figured thats why most hadn't wrote anything. Lessons do go for a week, anyway so no problems. ]

Leshia couldn't help but laugh at Salina as the little Crup cuddle into Salina lap. "No I do not think your kneezle or my cat would appreciate it. But maybe at home for Christmas." Leshia laughed a little

At that point Leshia noticed that Charlotte walk in the tent.

"Well hay Charlotte welcome to the tent with the Crup. Salina seems to like him, but I think I will just keep my distance. By the way Salina this is Charlotte, Charlotte this is Salina."

Salina looked up with a jolt at the name 'Charlotte' and her fears were confirmed when she saw the Slytherin uniform. She dearly hoped that Charlotte didn't judge her based on her twins actions. Yes- her appearance was the exact replica of Corinne - save for her caramel highlights and the Ravenclaw uniform- but she honestly felt as if she was a completely different person to the one her sister knew.
Salina quickly pushed the Crup off of her lap, and it made a bark of disapproval as it trotted off and sat with its back to her. Salina jumped up and smiled warmly at Charlotte, holding out her hand. "Bonjour. I'm Salina, I hear zat you know my sœur- I mean seester?" Salina said in the sweetest voice she could muster, still smiling brightly at Charlotte.

Corinne was surprised that Alice was still talking to her, so she let a small smile appear on her face, but it vanished as she felt a pang of jealousy in her chest at the fact that Alice's parents cared about her for reasons other than too keep the family genes going on and to act like a Girard, perfect in every way, shape and form.
"Mais non!" Corinne exclaimed, letting out a small chuckle. "London is magnifique, but I do not find it magnifique in ze way zat France is. I theenk zat in time, I will come to love it, but for now I would much prefer my 'ome zen zis place. Zough 'ogwarts ees better zan I thought. Zose at Uresla used to laugh at ze expense of 'ogwarts and zat German school, Durmstrang. We always thought zat Beauxbatons was ze most magnifique place on ze Earth. I still theenk zat, but zis 'ogwarts is nice too," said Corinne, busying herself with writing about the different things that the Fire Crab did when she threw various objects in its direction whilst she talked.

Jaqui made her way over to the Group 2's designated area, opening the gate and shutting it behind her. She didn't make haste to do it, for the Fire Crab was completely blocked from it by the girls. "'ow are we getting along 'ere?" It was a rhetorical question, and she looked at them all as they scribbled away on their parchment. "Alright, you 3 are too come out to the tables and chairs I 'ave set up. I just need to talk to you for a moment, zen you can come back and record more about zis animal." Jaqui said, turning and holding the gate open for them as they left. She shut the gate behind them all and led them to the chairs.

Once they had all settled in a seat, she waved her wand and silvery writing drifted out of her wand forming the words 'Chimaera'. "I know zat you are eager to continue you work with ze Fire Crab, but I 'ave to introduce you to your assignment. Ze animal zat you three will be studying, is ze Chimaera," Jaqui said. She clapped her hands together and leant back against her table. "Can anybody tell me, what a Chimaera looks like?" Jaqui asked, looking at them all expectantly.

Corinne looked up at her sister's arrival, and muttered 'good' at her question. She put away her gear on request that they follow her, and she got up off of the floor and trailed along after Prof. Girard over to the tables and chairs that had been conjured by her. She took a seat in the back chair and looked up at her sister as she began to talk.
When the words appeared reading 'Chimaera', Corinne's eyes lit up. This was a creature that she had studied back at Uresla, and she had thought it was one of the most fascinating things she'd learnt about. She was delighted to know that she'd be doing an assignment on it, for it would surely be fun.
"Can anybody tell me, what a Chimaera looks like?" Jaqui asked, and Corinne's hand shot up into the air.
"Ze Chimaera 'as ze 'ead of ze lion, ze body of a goat, and ze tail of a dragon," Corinne said, smirking at her teacher.

"Oui, Corinne?" Jaqui said as her sister waved her hand in the air.
At Corinne's description, Jaqui nodded and smiled in approval. "Zat is correct, 5 points to Slytherin," said Jaqui, turning her attention back to all 3 of them. "Alright, so oui, ze Chimaera is a very strange looking animal. It is also very dangerous, ze M.O.M classification being 5 X's, which is the most dangerous classification. Can anybody tell me where ze Chimaera originates from?" Jaqui asked.

Pxyis' hand shot up into the air like a lightning bolt, for she knew the answer to that. "The Chimaera is a rare Greek monster," Pxyis said, smiling at Prof. Girard sweetly.

Charlotte smiled sofly and she nodded, glad that she wasn't penalised for being late to lesson, sighing she moved over to the tent where her friend Leshia was sitting and a little aprehensively smiled at the two Ravenclaws, one of which looked an awful lot like that girl from her house...the one who hated her...a lot.

"Uhm. Hey guys, I have no idea what a crup is but sure thing, what does it eat?"

With a nervous glance at Salina Charlotte took her hand in her paint splattered one and smiled, she wasn't being shouted at yet, this was a good sign, and she took it to mean that she was not like her sister in the fact she hated her guts.

"I'm pleased to meet you Salina, and yes, I have met...Corrine, she doesn't like me all that much I don't think."

Moving towards the tables when directed Charlotte smiled and waited to see if she could answer any of the questions that were being asked.

"Excellent, zat is correct, Pxyis. 5 points to Slytherin," Jaqui smiled at her. "Zere is only one known successful slaying of ze Chimaera , and zat is something I want you to research in your assignments. Your assignments need to be 300-500 words, all you need to include is ze appearance of ze Chimeara, ze danger rating, ze appetite of ze Chimaera and about ze successful slaying of ze Chimaera. You can go back to your Fire Crab now." Jaqui said in way of dismissal.

Leshia smiled at Charlotte when she commented on the Crup. ""Uhm. Hey guys, I have no idea what a crup is but sure thing, what does it eat?"

"Well I have discovered it does not like lettece, but it loves raw meat, along with Salina's Lap' Leshia could not help but laugh. "But you should have seen it atttack the meat, it was almost like it was crazy."

Leshia noticed that Charlotte was a little nervous about Salina when she shook her hand. " Hay Charlotte don't worry Salina, won't bite."

Alice followed the group to the table. At first she was a little afraid that they were in trouble. After all, Pxyis and Corinne didn't seem to the best of friends. Which was why Alice was trying to settle the dispute, if anything went down she was the only Gryffindor and she didn't want to have it read poorly. Bringing honor to her house was extremely important to her.

Alice sighed in frustration. She didn't know anything about magical creatures or where they came from. She was raised in a Muggle world, after all. She was disappointed that she wasn't gaining any points to Gryffindor.

Alice looked around the classroom setting that Professor Girard had conjured up. Magic was quite surprising, she realized. She was in the middle of the woods one moment and now she was in a classroom that appeared out of no where.

To Airen was mad at himself was an understatement. He called himself stupid all the way as he rushed to CoMC. He really did it this time. Not only was he late, but he missed the whole of the instructions. When he got there, he avoided all eyes and made his way to the professor.

"Le mei scuse, professore, (My apologies, Professor) I'm sorry I'm late," he said. He hastily sat in a seat at the back and put his head in his hands. Stupid, stupid, stupid...

Jaqui was about to return to Group 1 and fetch them to tell them of their assignment, when a voice interrupted her. Le mei scuse, professore, I'm sorry I'm late," The only boy in her class; Airen said. Hastily he took a seat at the back and dropped his head into his hands. Jaqui laughed and strode over to the boy, patting him on the shoulder.

"Eet ees alright, Airen, eet ees hard to keep up with ze schedule of zis school, especially as a student! Do not worry about eet. Stay 'ere, you can join Group 1 for ze assignment, but once I 'ave dismissed zem please wait 'ere and I will explain what we are doing," said Jaqui in her most comforting tone, before walking over to Group 1's area and leaning over the gate to see Salina shaking hands with Charlotte.

"Alright, group 1 follow me," she held the gate open for them, and once they had walked through it she shut it swiftly and went over to her place at the front, sitting on her desk as she waited for them to quiet down. She swished her wand through the air and silvery letters like before trailed out, this time reading; Lethifold. She let her wand drop and the words hovered there. "Can any of you, tell me, what a Lethifold looks like?" Jaqui asked.

Salina stared at the words in horror, before turning her wide eyes to her sister. She was making them study a Lethifold! Shakily, she wanted to gain points for her house so she raised her hand. "The Lethifold... looks like a black cloak that is half an inch to an inch thick, depending on whether it had recently eaten a human or not," Salina swallowed. Lethifold's had always haunted her dreams.

Jaqui remembered that Salina had been having nightmares about the Lethifold ever since their Aunt had died on holiday from a Lethifold attack- which was most un-fortunate considering how rare they were, so she felt guilty when she took in her frightened eyes. But, she felt it was necessary that the First Years learnt about them young so if they ever received an attack or found their friend being attacked, they would know what to do.
"Oui, Salina. 5 points to Ravenclaw," said Jaqui, staring at her 4 students. "Now, for zose of you who know what ze Lethifold ees, you will be shocked zat I am teaching you about eet. But, I theenk it necessary zat you learn it, so if ever you need to know how to repel eet, you will. Ze Lethifold is a very rare creature zat floats across ze ground at night. Eet ees only found in tropical area's. In 1782, which ees ze earliest recording of a Lethifold attack, Flavius Belby was fortunate enough to survive. Can anybody tell me 'ow you repel ze Lethifold when eet attacks?"

Salina glanced around to see if anyone else knew the answer, and spotting no hands in the air she raised her own yet again. She felt a bit like a know-it-all, perhaps the hat had been right to place her in Ravenclaw. "Flavius Belby used ze Patronus Charm to repel ze Lethifold, which is the only known way to get rid of eet," Salina gulped, feeling her eyes water and she swiped away the tears quickly, glaring at Jaqui.

Leshia followed everyone over to the tables to learn what the assignment was going to be. At this point there was a Gryffindor boy goin the group.

After they sat down the teacher asked "Can any of you, tell me, what a Lethifold looks like?"

Leshia thought to herself, what the heck is that she could not think of it at the moment, but then Magical creatures were never really her thing, she prefer to stick to her cats.

Salina did not look like this was something she enjoyed talking about and then when she answered the teacher question about how to repel this creature Leshia almost thought she saw a tear fall.

Leshia could not help but place a comforting hand on Salina's shoulders. How could her sister even think of teaching this if she knew how much it bothered Salina.

Charlotte spotted Airen and she was tempted to go over and give him a hug, she hadn't been able to sit by him in any in any of their lessons so far and it was a little sad, after all it was one of the times when they would see each other the most.

When they were summoned to the table outside Charlotte smiled at the two Ravenclaw girls and hung behind to wait for Airen to walk over to their group, smiling happily she then paid attention to the class.

A little unsure of what was happening when Salina began to cry Charlotte dipped her head and decided that this was something that didn't warrent her prying into it, it was obviously private and obviously something not very nice.

Salina looked up as Leshia placed a hand on her shoulder in comfort, and she smiled a watery smile at Leshia, before looking back to Jaqui. She planned on ripping into her later, how could she so casually teach them about something that had killed their Aunt?

She sighed and leant her head into her hand which was propped up by her elbow as she waited for Jaqui to continue teaching the lesson.

Alice was growing weary of the lesson and she couldn't help but glance over and see that the first group seemed to be dealing with a dangerous creature.

Or at least she assumed that much from the tears on Salina's face. She felt bad for the girl but at the same time she shrugged. "Everyone has to face their fears at some point." she muttered to herself. She hoped that no one would really hear because sliding off her tongue it sounded extremely insensitive.

"Salina, gardez la tête haute et de s'arrêter de pleurer. Il ya des années," Jaqui was annoyed with her sister now. Yes, it was emotional but that had happened years ago, so she snapped at her sister in French so fast that anyone here who could understand the language wouldn't be able to catch what she said.

"And oui, Salina, 5 points to Ravenclaw. Now, in your textbooks on page 214, zere is information on ze Lethifold. I want you to write a 50 word summary on ze Lethifold, just include what eet looks like, who survived the attack, 'ow to repel eet and where eet ees found. Zat is all, you may return to your animals, and finish of your writing quickly. I will be calling everyone back een a moment to talk to you all," Jaqui said.

Walking down to class, Parker was upset to find that he was probably very late to class. He hadn't wanted to be early, but didn't expect the walk there through the grounds to take so long, though admittedly he had applied a bit late for the class.

He sighed, approaching the area seeing a handful of students and the teacher, he stood to the side quietly, waiting so as not to interrupt. He really hoped the teacher would excuse his being late.

Jaqui heard the sound of approaching footsteps and she turned to see a boy from Slytherin sitting there. "Alas, you join us Emery," she greeted him, remembering him as the last person to sign up for her class. "Eet ees alright zat you are late. You can join Group 2, zey are studying ze Sand Crab right now in zat pen," she pointed to the pen where the rest of Group 2 where.

"Also, you will be writing a 50 word summary on ze Chimaera, to be 'anded up next lesson. Im sure ze others will be 'appy to 'elp you out," Jaqui hoped he could understand her through her accent, but the others had so she was sure he would too. "Go on, 'urry up!" She waved him over to the pen where the rest of Group 2 were, glad he'd shown up for now the groups were perfectly even.
