He took a deep breath when she rested on his shoulder. "Well you better not let anything happen to you either then- and expecially hope nothing like...this happens again."

He felt her start crying on him, and he almost felt like he wanted to again as well. His head was still swimming with confusion and anger. Once they had more information on whatever sort of attack this was, he wanted answers. His mind flashed back to other random students which he had barely registered in his mind as dead. This had to be a nightmare. This like this just didn't happen, not this young. It happened all so suddenly, no warning, no precautions, nothing it seemed. Death like this, they should not have had to worry about it.

He thought Hogwarts was supposed to be safe.

Corinne leapt out of the path of some falling stones from the wall above her with a shriek. She grabbed Salina and pulled her out the way, continuing to pull her along as they ran.

The only thought running through her mind was to keep her twin safe. She couldn't lose her, she loved Salina to much. She turned her head and saw inferi behind them. Squeaking, she yanked Salina to the side and dove down a side hallway, pushing her up against the wall in a shadow and ducking down next to her.

Corinne watched with wide eyes as the inferi walked straight past them, before grabbing Salina and running again. In all of that, the duo had lost Pxyis. "Zut." Corinne hissed, looking around for the blonde haired girl. She began to think of a place that would be safe, but she had only thoughts of places near by.

"Ze dungeons!" She exclaimed, tugging Salina along as they ran for the dungeons.

They were so close when it happened...

She turned her head as she heard a cold laughter, and a voice shouted across the hallway, before the person dissapeared. "De gravi somno!" The cold voice echoed through the hallway, and watched as a jet of light shot straight for her and hit her in the stomach. She fell backwards and the world went dark.

Salina screamed as the stones fell from the ceiling, and she thought she would surely be crushed if Corinne hadn't grabbed her. Stunned at her sister's sudden care, she allowed herself to be dragged and dragged, whimpering when she saw the inferi behind her and clutching Corinne's hand tightly as they ran.

She almost face-planted when Corinne pulled them sharply into a corridor, and was then pushed into the shadows. She shook violently as Corinne's hand clutched hers tightly and she waited for her twin, who was suddenly very active in keeping them both alive, to run.

When she did, Salina followed and grabbed Corinne's hand again. She heard Corinne mutter 'zut', and searched her quick mind for a reson.

Pxyis.

Salina couldn't see her anywhere, and only hoped the Slytherin girl had escaped. When Corinne exclaimed 'Ze dungeons!', Salina knew that was where they were headed. The stairs were in view as they both ran full pelt for them, but a sudden voice and a cold laughter sounded and before Salina knew it, Corinne was lying on the floor with her eyes shut.

She knew that she wasn't dead, but for all she knew Corinne was dying. And she was NOT going to let that happen. Salina frowned as she thought of the spell, and suddenly it hit her. That spell was one that was rarely used, due to its difficulty. It was harder to cast then the Avada Cadavra, for the spell often didn't work.

It was also risky to use it. The spell commonly backfired and sent the caster into a Coma, instead of the person they were casting it at. Salina began to sob. Her twin was in a coma, and so summoning strength she never knew, she lifted Corinne onto her shoulders and hurried towards the Slytherin Common room. She couldn't remember the password, but Corinne had told her it.

Banging on the wall at random points, she began to wail for help. "Help! Please!" She cried, placing Corinne on the floor. She realised they probably wouldn't let her in, for it would seem as if it was just the German. She wasn't even sure if there was anyone in there. Salina sobbed as she held Corinne's pale and lifeless-looking body close to her. She decided she would just wait for death, or hope for help.

"That sounds like so much fun. If...WHEN we get out of this we should do that. I heard someone say there's things living in the lake. Do you think any of them would talk to us?"

Victoria laughed quietly, wondering what kinds of things would be down there. Just then she heard a faint sound. It sounded like muffled shouts and a dull banging. "I'll be back Tess, I'm going to go find Healer Henley."

She maneuvered herself off the couch, shakily, and went to look for the group that had left with an injured Charlotte.

Tess got up and nodded also hearing the voice.

"You go ahead, I'll...I'll check the entrance" she murmured.

She winced getting up, her body had cooled down and was now aching all over. She walked over towards the portrait and placed her head against it trying to hear it.

"Help Please?!" she heard someone yell.

Part of her wanted to trust the voice and run over the other was scared that it was a trick.

"Just murmur the password" she repeated to herself hoping the person would simply do as told.

Why wouldn't they know the real portrait? That made her nervous.

Victoria returned to the common room and saw Tess standing by the entrance. She could see the decision playing across her face. "I told Healer Henley, but I don't know if she wants to leave Charlotte. She looks a little better but I don't know whats actually going on. Do you think it could be a student?"

She didn't want to deliberately go against what they had been told, but if it was a student and they didn't help them...she didn't want that on their heads. A part of her was ready to go through, but not alone.

She looked back at her and frowned.

"I-I'm usually too trusting" she muttered. "But you know maybe....would it be so wrong to break the rules?"

She looked around ,everyone already too absorbed in their things and it was just Victoria and her and they needed to make a decision.

"If I call out" she began "They'll know which portrait it is, and if it's them...we're sc-dead" she said refusing to curse at this situation. "But if it's a student....we could possibly lose them by leaving them outside, they could be hurt"

She took a gulp at the thought.

"What do you think?"

Victoria thought for a moment. Even if they left the common room by themselves, that would give away their position. But she had to know if they were students.

"Is there another way out of here maybe? So that we could circle around? Draw their attention away from this portrait?" She'd never been to this part of the dungeons, so was relying on Tess's knowledge of the area.

She sighed and closed her eyes thinking about the different passageways. There were surrounded by the Black Lake, the giant squid oftentimes reminding them of it. She remembered something....the bride.. The Bridge?! It was covered in Ectoplasm a simple spell might lead them to the Dungeons and then they could return to the Common room.

"We can get out of here through the bridge....come on" she murmured.

Victoria had no idea how they were going to get around, but was ready. She was tired of sitting by at letting everyone else do all the work. The least they could do was get a look at who it was, maybe be able to back up the others from the other side if something went wrong.

"You lead, I'll follow." She said to Tess.

I really hope this works!

She nodded and no longer cared if anyone even stopped them. They needed to see if there was anyone there.
She grabbed her wand in her left hand and nodded towards Victoria.

"Come on we have to go check" she said.

She then began to run towards the hidden bridge.

Lucia walked into the common room after Ms. Rossmund had said something about noise. She then noticed how they were making their way in some direction she didn't know of.

"Is there a passage I didn't know of?" Lucia asked, shocked to say the least, but she didn't wait for an answer.

"It is the Girard-twins, I know. Now, I'm going to go through the protection I set up and out to find them. But I've also located Ms. Namid. So I have to hurry to find her as well. So, I'm going to set up another barrier outside, so you can safely find Ms. Girard and Ms. Girard. All right? Meaning you keep going. I'm going to tell them to wait and that you two are on your way. Got it?"

Once again, not waiting for a reply, Lucia dashed into the hallways and over to the barrier she had set up. When she got out into the hallways that lead to the common room, she saw both Corinne and Salina. She stopped beside them. Corinne seemed to be out.

Lucia sat down next to them. "Help is on the way," she said softly, "Ms. McCartney and Ms. Rossmund is coming for the both of you," she explained.

Then she put her hand on Corinne's head, giving her some of her own energy. "Let her sleep until they come. I need to go find Ms. Namid. And I will set up a barrier here as well. Don't worry. No one will hurt you," she said, noticing Salina's frightened look.

Lucia rose. She then walked twenty steps away and placed a new protection charm around. Then she walked through it and dashed in the direction of the Great Hall.

Tabi had heard some commotion going on around her and was wondering what was going on. She had heard Tess say something about hearing a sound. Next thing Tabi knew was Healer Henley was going after them. Tabi got up to follow but stayed back a ways just in case.

Tabi thought she heard Healer Henley say something about the twins, but she wanted to be sure before she told Lesh and got her hopes up. She would hate for it to be bad news and have to find out in the worse way.

Tabi decided to stay back by the door they all went through hoping it was good news and be there if help was needed.

Lucia walked slowly into the common room and placed Ms. Namid down on the couch. She smiled to the other students. Then she started healing the girl. She took care of her arm and leg easily, and then started healing her exhaustion. She wanted the girl to keep sleeping, but nothing was guaranteed.

She then turned to the others. "Things seems to be slowing down upstairs, but it's not over yet. There are still battles raging on," she said calmly.

Then she turned and walked over to where Charlotte was still lying.

Haley looked up as Healer Henley came back, carrying Keiba. Haley first got terrified that maybe, just maybe, Keiba was dead. But when healer Henley smiled, Haley relaxed. She watched as Keiba was healed and Haley was happy when healer Henley told them that the battle was calming.

She smiled to Leisha. "Hear that?" she mumbled, "It will soon be over."

Leshia had seen her sister take off but she was not sure where she was going. She lifted her head and looked around to see what was going on and then Healer Henley came back in.

"Hear that?" she mumbled, "It will soon be over." Haley said

"I hope she is right, after this I am ready to go home." Leshia started to wipe away her tears.

"I just wish I knew about Salina and Corrine, we haven't heard anything about them." Leshia got up from where she was standing.

"I need a drink, anyone else need one?"

With Keiba being brought in, Parker was glad another student was safe. He just hoped those that weren't there yet were okay too.

When Leshia stood and asked, "I need a drink, anyone else need one?" he looked up. Pxyis had still been coughing so he figured a drink would be good for her. "Erm- yeah. Just water."

Sofia had been running and running she did not want to stop until she made her destination. She knew all the back ways into the Slytherin Common room, even one that no one knew about, it was where her grandfather kept his secret office.

Making her way she did take different ways and used secret spells to hide the way she was going, she wanted to make sure she was not stopped.

Finally getting into the Slytherin Common room, she broke through the secret door that was not used any more and collapsed on the floor. By this point she had depleted much of her energy.

Leshia had heard Parker ask for some water. As she made it over to the table and poured the drinks she heard this strange sound of banging coming from the portrait of Salazar Slytherin that was hanging in the common room. Next thing she new the door busted open and Professor Slytherin fell onto the floor.

Leshia had dropped her drinks when the door busted open and then when she saw the Professor on the floor she rushed over too her. "Professor...Professer, wake up." She was practically in tears when she starting yelling.

"Healer Henley...Healer Henley..Come quick..Please." Leshia had placed Professors head in her lap whispering.."Please be ok..Please be ok."

Lucia's head shot up when she felt another energy she was trying to tag into. She almost screamed in happiness, but then realized how little energy was residing in Sofia's body. Lucia got to her feet and ran towards Ms. Prewett, who was begging her to come.

Lucia looked down at Sofia. She was lying with her head in Ms. Prewett's lap. Lucia immediately looked at injuries and the like and started healing Sofia. She knew it would be all right, but the most prominent thing was Sofia's lack of energy. Lucia pointed her wand to the table.

"Accio watergoblet," she said calmly, and the watergoblet shot into her hand, splashing the water everywhere. "Aquamenti," Lucia whispered refilling the goblet.

The bleeding wounds were stopped, and her body was relaxing more and more. But Lucia could still not tell if this was a good thing. She took a handkerchief from her pocket and dipped it in the water, holding it over Sofia's mouth and wrenching it so the drops of water could easily fall down her throat.

Then, for what felt like the thousand time, Lucia placed her hand on someone else's head. She drew the energy from the watergoblets around, as well as the light of the Slytherin common room. She knew that there was no place like the Slytherin common room to heal someone of Slytherin's own descent. Lucia smiled as she felt the energy being gratefully accepted by Sofia's body, because the instant it was, Lucia knew that she was going to be okay.

"She will be all right," Lucia told Ms. Prewett, and put a hand on her cheek.

"You should get some sleep, Ms. Prewett. I know it might be hard, but sleep will make you see a bit clearer," Lucia then said, and added: "And if it is nightmares you fear, I can provide you with a dreamless sleep."

Haley opened her mouth in a soundless scream as professor Slytherin came stumbling in and fell down. She saw Leisha lifting her into her lap, and before she had even time to react, healer Henley had started working her magic. Haley rose slowly, her eyes wide, and walked over to them. She reached them, just as healer Henley said that she was going to be all right.

Then she said that stuff about sleep. Haley sat down beside Leisha, and placed her hand on her shoulder. "I will look after you, Leisha, if you want to sleep," Haley said solemnly.

"I'll always look after you and my friends."

After the whole series of events in the hallway, Salina realised that they would look strange walking into the common room, with Tess carrying Corinne by the waist, Victoria carrying her upper body and herself with tear stained cheeks and more flowing as she carried Corinne's legs.

"Put 'er down 'ere," Salina nodded her head to a black lounge and walked over to it, letting her twin lie down on it. She then moved to kneel down by Corinne's head and stroked her twin's hair, tears sliding down her cheeks. "Oh lá lá ma sœur." Salina whispered, moving her hand to Corinne's cheek.

Victoria let out a sigh of relief. When Salina motioned them over to the couch she made sure to put Corinne down as gently as possible. She could see streaks on her cheeks as if someone tried washing off dirt, and what looked like blood. She had no idea what had happened to them, but she was glad the twins were safe.

"I'll go get Healer Henley," she said. Victoria found her sitting with Professor Slytherin, who looked like she had been through hell as well.

"Healer Henley, we got the twins from outside the corridor. Salina's fine but Corinne isn't responding. I don't know what happened."

Is there anyone around here NOT about to die? Not that she wanted to be insensitive, but Hogwarts appeared to be on the loosing side from where she was standing.

Victoria started to wonder what was happening outside of their little world in the common room. Who was really winning?

Lucia looked up as Ms. Rossmund finally returned. She breathed relieved when she told they had found the twins. But she rose instantly.

"Ms. Prewett, Ms. Smith, please stay here with professor Slytherin, and I'll go check on Ms. Girard," Lucia said to the two girls, and let Ms. Rossmund lead her to Ms. Girard.

Lucia saw Ms. Girard-Prewett first and moved to her instantly, placing her hand on the girl's head, giving her some energy. Then she turned and saw Ms. Girard lying on a couch. She crouched down next to the couch and placed her hand on that girl's head, finding the cause of the damage. She started healing the obvious wounds, and then the ones that were internal.

When she was done, she looked up at her sister. "She will be fine. She won't wake anytime soon, but she is healed up and won't get any permanent physical damages," Lucia assured them all.

Lucia rose from the crouch. "Ms. Prewett is looking for you. You should get in and check on her. I'm sure Ms. McCartney and Ms. Rossmund can take care of Ms. Girard for the moment," she said calmly.

She placed her hand on the two mentioned girls' head, making sure they were all right as well, and, apart from exhaustion, they were. She smiled to all of them, and walked back into the room where the rest of the students still were.

Cain moved through the corridors, he was a little worse for wear after his battle but nothing that he couldn't handle, he was more ashamed of letting down Lucia and getting himself hurt.

However it had been worth it, he carried a student in his arms and there were a few more behind him, they had been hiding in the room of requirement and he was lucky to have found them as there was a German heading that way a few minutes ago.

He stopped just outside the defenses, not wanting to be blown up by the spells there and he called out:

"Lucia, would you lower the defenses please? More students coming this way."

Cain's legs were tremoring, they were aching from doing so many stairs but he couldn't sit down even if he wanted to, and he couldn't rest while there were students out there. His leather tunic was slashed and he had another selection of scars for his collection.
