Lucia heard Cain's voice just outside the defenses, and she jumped up. She saw him standing there with a student in his arms and some more around him. Lucia immediately let the defenses fall for a second while they got through. She looked at the students, placing her hand on each of their heads, seeing them perk up instantly.

Her eyes drifted to the kid in his arms. She walked over and put her hand on the kids sleeping head. She smiled. "He's going to be fine," she said calmly, "He's just exhausted."

She then looked up at Cain. "You got yourself hurt," she said softly.

She wasn't disappointed in him, she hadn't expected him to walk away without a scratch. But still, she sighed. She just wished this would be over and done with. She waved her wand and the defenses were back up again.

"Will you let me heal you?" she asked, wanting him to give her permission. After all, though he wasn't the usual centaur, he was still a centaur. She didn't want to wound his pride.

Leshia's heart just about jumped out of her chest when Healer Henley mentioned the Girard twins. That meant her best friend and new sister where finally in the common room. She wanted to rush over to them but knew she needed to stay with Professor Slytherin, but that didn't stop her for yelling after Salina.

"Salina..Salina, I am so glad you are here, I have been worried sick about you." Leshia had tears once again forming in her eyes.

Leshia looked around the room and it seemed all of her friends were safe. So she decided she better take Haley's advice and leaned back into the wall to sleep. She wanted to make sure that Professor Slytherin was comfortable first.

"Hay you, over there on the couch, throw me a pillow..please" Leshia yelled at some Hufflepuff sitting on the couch.

Once the pillow was throw at her she placed Professor Slytherins head on it right next to her and tried to get some sleep. She new Salina would look after her twin first, because that's what twins do. We may fight but we are unseperatable.

Cain was glad that there was hope for the young student in his arms, he knew that he would be alright, it would be alright for him when the starlight wained, he just needed to sleep...and sleep sounded good to him right now.

Feeling his legs shake dangerously Cain took in a deep breath.

"Is there a place I can put this young man down?" he said in a strained voice.

He nodded softly and sighed a little as he stepped forward, his sword arm aching, he slowly made his way into the common room and saw Many of the students trying to sleep.

Cains hooves clipped quietly on the floor as he lay the student down and leant on the wall.

"I did Lucia, forgive me, but my blood is a small price to pay for these young lives, I hope they use them to the best of their ability and realise how precious they are."

With a small lopsided smile Cain shook his head:

"No, thank you, my wounds will heal on their own, but I do wish for a small break before I return, if I might wait here?"

Tabi was so glad when she discovered what every one had been doing. Apparently Salina and Corrine had been outside of the common room and Salina could not get in with Corrine passed out.

She made sure to be out of the way when they came in she wanted to go over and hold Salina and let her know everything was going to be ok. Not only was Salina her sisters best friend but she was also a twin, and when one twin hurt the other one did.

Tabi was so worried about the sisters she didn't notice until she went to tell her sister that Salina and Corrine we ok that her sister was dealing with something of her own. She knew her sister had be upset and worried because she could feel her feelings, but she just thought is was everything going around.

Walking into the other room Tabi was shocked to see Professor Slytherin laying on the floor in Leshia's lap. She was about to tell Healer Henley about the girls but someone already had gotten to that.

It had been a long couple of days and she was ready to go home.

She was glad to hear that Corinne was fine, but this was the second time she had heard that this year. The first time around, she saved her despite the fact that Corinne had murderous thoughts towards her, and the second time, was outside with her poor distraught sister.

It was a new world for Tess, one full of hatred and deception. The End of the Year Ball was supposed to celebrate house unity and another academic year passed, but this was not the case today.

The Ball increased many traits of Tess. Yes her bravery grew a few notches, by breaking rules, but it also increased her anxiety, nervousness, and affected her trust issues.

There was little good in this world, and as she looked down at Corinne, and turned to see the others in similar states, she got a bitter taste in her mouth.

' So much for good' she thought softly as she held Corinne's hand.

Perhaps this wasn't the school for her....perhaps a trip home would be for the best

Lucia smiled. "Of course you may stay," she said calmly.

She herself was actually so pumped that she sat down on the floor, and leaned her head against the wall. "I might just doze off myself," she said tiredly, and not before the words were out of her mouth, did her eyelids slip and shut tightly.

Cain looked at all of the students in the common room, and walked slightly towards a group of girls wearing green uniforms, they all seemed exhausted as was he but then he thought that there might be more students scared and helpless upstairs and sighed.

Resting his head against the wall Cain slowly began to stop the shaking in his legs, as soon as they were as close to normal as they were going to get he placed a hand on Lucia's head and smiled as she slept.

With that he moved back out into the hall and stared at the stairs at the end of the corridor, it looked as if Lucia had put the wards back up, so he was trapped, and Cain began to pace anxiously around the corridor, not liking the feeling for being confined.

Lucia saw a great, dark shape forming in the distance. It got closer and closer. She couldn't tell what it was. But an eerie feeling was taking control of her body. Then darkness swooped around her and she could see absolutely nothing anymore. Her entire body was shaking. Then she woke with a start.

Lucia looked around the Slytherin common room with terrified eyes. When she saw that everyone was in the same shape as she had left them, she breathed softly out. Then she saw Cain. He looked extremely restless. Lucia stood up on her feet, feeling that some energy had been returned to her. She smiled to Cain when she stood in front of him.

"You want to go out and fight again, don't you?" she asked him with a soft smile, though the dream had left her pretty shaken up.

She didn't wait for an answer, pretty sure in her guess, and removed the protection for him to go through.

Cain turned when he heard a voice address him, he was a little shocked because for the past few minutes all he heard was silence and the odd snuffling snores from the students.

When he saw that it was in fact Lucia that had said something to him he stopped pacing and ran a hand through his hair, which was still wet from the water spell that witch had doused him with.

"I do not wish to fight, I have never wished to fight, but I don't like the feeling of being closed in by man, look at me down here in the dark...I do not trust it."

Glaring at the floor Cain looked at the corridor, the barriers now taken down and he bowed slightly to Lucia before taking off up the flight of stairs and back outside, the battle over for now.
