[Tess McCartney]

She was surprised but his hug and she smiled before rushing off and finding the person. Her wand was out and she felt so uncomfortable.

"Lumos" she murmured seeing the candles were all burned out.

Her bare feet weren't too noticeable on the cold floor and once she turned, she saw someone. She froze and then she called out.

"Parker?" she said nervously.

[Parker Emery]

Hearing the familiar voice call his name, he head shot up and he looked over. Because of the bright light coming from her wand however, he couldn't clearly see her.

"T-tess?? Is that you?" He choked out. He was glad he'd been found and hoped that there was someplace they could go to that was safe.

[Tess McCartney]

Hearing his voice, she immediately dimmed the light and ran over to him. She awkwardly bent down and gave him a look once over, wanting to see if he was fine.

"Oh Parker" she breathed out glad he was fine. "Is everything okay?" she asked softly.

[Parker Emery]

He took another deep breath when she ran over, feeling his body relax slightly.

He nodded slightly, "I- I got separated from everyone and didn't know where to go...I-I thought to go down here but I can't get to the corridor to the common room-" he felt himself choke up a bit again. "Where is everyone??"

[Tess McCartney]

She felt him having a hard time talking, and she understood him well. She looked a mess as well something that matched her inside. She was covered in dirt, her dress once white now collected dirt, and was ripped and her hair was on her shoulders messily. But he looked psychologically injured.

She placed her hand on his back and began to make circles trying to calm him down.

"Shh....we're all fine okay? We're at the common room...come on, get yourself together okay? We'll survive this"

She let out a shaky smile and tried to be brave.

...or die trying she added inwardly.

[Airen Auditoren]

Airen held a hand up, trying to placate Humphrey. He really was too tired to argue.

"I know you had our best interests at heart, Humphrey. I'm not trying to challenge you or anything, nut you need to see that you're only eleven. You can't expect to bear burdens that aren't yours to bear." His eyelids felt heavy. He needed to get his point across. "I may be a swordmage, but I never go looking for a fight. When a fight comes to me, I don't instantly go about planning a defense when I'm in a secure location. I take a deep breath and calm myself to keep a level head. When you let emotions get the better of you, that is when mistakes are made," he finished.

"I'm sorry if I offended you, Humphrey," Airen said as he closed his eyes and drifted off into sleep. He knew they were safe for the time being.

[Humphrey Williams]

"I feel the same. But where we are now isn't necessarily a secure location. We thought the trophy room was secure too, but then it was attacked. Every place could be called secure if it has never been attacked. My motto is always be prepared, and if Healer Henley hadn't come in, one of us would have head to take charge. If it would have just been us, then we may not be ready to bear the burden, but we would have had to anyways. I was trying to get people to have level heads too, back in the trophy room was not the time to break down. We can't let our guard down until we know, for a fact! That there aren't any Germans waiting to attack us while our back is turned. You didn't offend me, not in the slightest. I'll stay up while you sleep Airen. I couldn't sleep even if I tried." Humphrey explained his decisions and why. Eventually, they would come to understand each other. Somehow, some way.

[Parker Emery]

All his thoughts seemed to be racing through his mind, being so confused and angry over the events which had occurred. He had so many questions and so many things he didn't understand. Who are those people that attacked them, why are they doing it and for what purpose?

He knew he it wasn't the time though and it wasn't likely she'd know anything. He tried concentrating on her hand on his back, trying to get it together enough to make it to safety. "Everyone's safe? Is- is Pxyis there? We got split up and I left her- I-" He took another breath, biting the inside of his cheek, as he looked at his knees. He'd never been so frightened, never had he been a part of or seen anything like tonight. He felt so cowardly just running away like he did without any second thoughts other then to survive.

He looked back at her, noticing how she looked. "You're alright, right? You look like a mess-" He wouldn't doubt if he did too, if everyone else did actually.

[Tess McCartney]

She frowned slightly hearing Pxyis name.

"N-no she's not...she's probably with a professor don't worry" she cooed trying to calm him down.

She didn't wish any harm for Pxyis and hoped that she was alright. Hearing his comment about her she lifted her hand to her hair and looked down at herself. Oh yeah, she looked a mess.

"Well....I think I'm alright...just" she took a shaky breath. "Just f-fine"

Her hands trembled and she forced herself to be more composed. Taking a deep breath once more, she knew she had to be strong, he, he needed someone to be strong and sadly it had to be her.

"Come on, let's go to the common room okay?" she whispered. "For all we know she could be waiting for you okay?"

She did hope she was there, if not then at least safe. She wrapped her arms around his side and tried to help him up.

[Victoria Rossmund]

Victoria's head hurt like hell. She felt like she was in one of those war movies where a grenade blows up near a guy and he hears things as if they are far away. Voices were distorted so she really didn't know who was around.

Memories were trying to come back. Spells in a hall. Gun shots. Ball gowns...TESS!

She groaned and opened her eyes. "Where is she. She has to be ok. This can't happen again!" She could feel tears falling from her eyes but she didn't care. She was confused when she realized all the students were sitting in a room she didn't know. "Wait...where are we? What did I miss?"

[Guest]

Pxyis stumbled as she ran, hand resting on her side. She was running to fast, and her asthma was kicking in, and her dress kept getting in her way. She felt too slow, even though she was running fast, so she stopped and ripped open her dress.

She let out a squeak of fear, but kept her head as she ran in the direction she felt her gut pulling too. She slid her hand along the wall as she reached the dungeons, muttering the password and stumbling through the doorway. She could feel her hair a tangled mess on her head, and she must look dreaful with her ripped and torn dress.

Pxyis coughed lightly as she looked at them all, her arms clutching her sides as she attempted to catch her breath. "Park- where's," she coughed again and managed to catch her breath. "Where's Parker?" She asked, eyes on the floor as she clutched at her sides.

[Humphrey Williams]

"Victoria, thank goodness you're okay. I started sobbing all over you because I wasn't sure if you were dead or alive. So, if there is tear stains on your dress, that's why. Tess is fine, she is the one who said you were just unconscious. May I give you a hug" I've been really worried." he said.

[Parker Emery]

Parker sniffed and nodded when she said they would go back. Despite what Tess had said to try to comfort him, he worried more. she could be in danger and he had just left, after they split he could have looked for her but he ran instead.

The dread of such an idea seemed to weigh him down as he held onto Tess, as she helped him up and they walked. He assumed whatever barrier had been put up had now been lowered.

[Tess McCartney]

She struggled but held on to him, as they walked.

"Come on, cheer up, you're supposed to be the happier one out of us two" she said winking.

Be brave Tess, you gotta be. Can't cry damn it, it's not the time to cry. she repeated to herself as a mantra.

"She's there, if not...if not I'll go look for her okay?" she told him softly. "Promise you okay?"

They were almost there, and she was beginning to sweat out of exhaustion. She needed sleep and she needed a cold shower, and to wake up from this horrible nightmare. She wondered if Victoria was fine, she did hope that she was.

[Humphrey Williams]

"Parker is right behind you Pxyis, was talking in the hall. Just came back." he pointed out.

[Victoria Rossmund]

"Yeah. Sure." Victoria still felt like she was actually hovering over them, not really attached to her body. When Humphrey hugged her she took the time to look around and saw that only some students were with them, along with the healer. "Humphrey, where's Tess. Did she make it ok? Where are we?"

[Parker Emery]

He shook his head when she offered to go look for her. "No, you can't. You just...can't."

As they reached the portrait, he was drained, feeling more exhausted because of the mere idea they were finally going to be safe and could actually rest among their friends which hopefully were perfectly safe as well. He also hoped their professors were safe...

He muttered the password, and the doorway opened up as they stumbled in.

[Guest]

Seeing all of them gathered, she felt her head begin to spin. She did not cope well with her asthma, and she had started wheezing.

She was exhausted from running, and now she was panicked because she couldn't see Parker amongst them. Damnit Pxyis, if he's dead it's all your fault! She growled in her mind, and a snarl left her lips. "Where is Parker?!" She yelled at them, just as the door slid open and she whirled around.

Her breath stopped, and she felt so much better just seeing him there, looking messy and with his hair un-kempt on his head, but she couldn't care less. He was alive. "Oh. Hello Parker." She smiled weakly, before passing out.

[Lucia Henley]

Lucia turned as miss Rossmund walked into the common room. She immediately looked her over and smiled. "You're going to be just fine," she said calmly, placing her hand on Rossmund's head to calm her down.

Then the door to the common room opened again, and in walked miss Wilson. Lucia was so relieved that she was there. She had been completely lost in the Great Hall, just fighting. She looked unfocused.

"I am not yet sure where Mr. Emery and miss McCartney are, nor am I sure where the Girard sisters are. But my patronus is currently looking for them," Lucia said, hoping it would be okay.

Then the common room opened for the third time, and miss McCartney and Mr. Emery walked in. Lucia had to smile at their timing. She then noticed how absolutely exhausted miss McCartney looked and that the Mr. Emery had bloodshot eyes. Lucia walked over to them and touched both of their heads to calm them down.

"Are you two okay?" she asked them. Then she turned to the new people who had entered and said: "I know that you all are pretty tired and just want to sleep, but please understand that I need to have you close so I can easily get to you, should anyone get through our defenses."

Lucia then turned to the door and restored the defenses and the hallway to the maximum of her protego charm. She then walked over to miss Wilson, checking her stomach. She had been coughing, and Lucia did not like the sound of that. So she placed her hand on the girl's stomach, slowly healing it, but letting her sleep.

[Parker Emery]

Once he had walked in, Healer Henley had stepped forward, startling him slightly, reaching her hand to his head. He had then slowly begun to feel more in control, his head no longer feeling like it was pounding. He nodded to her that he felt fine.

He then heard Pxyis and his eyes shot over to her, "Oh. Hello Parker." He smiled at her seeing that she was there, but it dropped immediately when she had passed out. He let go of Tess, going over to Pxyis as the Healer Henley was by her side, hearing Pxyis' breathing as very ragged. It sounded bad and he was extremely worried.

[Haley Vilde Smith]

Haley smiled softly to Humphrey as he apologized to her. "Don't worry about it," she said, but she was happy that he had said what he said.

She then looked as Victoria came walking into the common room and she had to smile as relief washed over her, and the joy on Humphrey's face.

She was soon followed by Pxyis and Haley's smile widened, then disappeared. She looked really tired. Haley was suddenly extremely glad that madam Henley was the one who was there with them.

But Pxyis coming remembered Haley of Parker, as she asked where he was. Haley looked compassionately at Pxyis, wishing Parker was here as well. Then Pxyis said something.

"Oh. Hello Parker."

Haley turned around on the second. But then she turned back as she could see Pxyis falling together. Madam Henley walked over and checked up on her. Haley hoped nothing was wrong. But in stead of screaming in joy and jumping at the boy with a big hug, Haley didn't feel like it anymore.

"I'm glad you're safe, Parker," Haley simply said, and smiled to him, then turned a worried eye at Pxyis.

[Humphrey Williams]

Humphrey gave Victoria a big, bear hug, and held her in a tight hug for as long as she let him. "Hmm, oh. Tess is just walking in with Parker. She's fine. She is the reason you are okay. We are friends now, Tess and I. Her saving you kind of gave her a big bonus boost to her already cool personality. Now our Americans group expands to three people." He gave her a light squeeze before reluctantly letting go of her. He wanted to hold her all day. But it was Tess's turn for a Vic hug. They were amazing. He sighed as he let her go.

[Victoria Rossmund]

She saw Tess enter with Parker, both looking like they were about to drop on the spot. She moved away from Humphrey, giving him a small smile, and stumbled over to the pair. "Tess, are you ok?" When she saw her dress torn to shreds she tried to smile. "Do I look that bad?"

Victoria was normally a strong person, but the last few minutes were full of enough confusion to shake anyone. She had just met Tess but felt like she was a kindred spirit. She couldn't stop herself from hugging the girl hard.
