Seeing Charlotte's eyes light up warmed Airen in a way that few can actually put into words. He wasn't one of them. When she thanked him and pecked him on the cheek, his face felt warm in a way that many can put into words. He was one of them. He blushed.

Returning the hug, he rubbed her arm lightly. They were still in the tall grass, but it was a rather good place to be. It was almost like those little forts children would make.

"We do, in fact, have two white horses. They're a male and female. My aunt just told me in her most recent letter that the mare just gave birth," he said, remembering the picture that came with the letter.

"Besides Altaïr, I don't have any pets if you don't count the family's familiar, Epos," he said. He remembered visiting the Raptorix last time he visited his aunt. They were always good friends, and the dragon was glad to have his true master back.

Airen laughed as he'd found a ticklish spot on Charlotte.

"I won't tickle you now, but when you're down, don't count on being so lucky," he said with a wink.

Charlotte blushed herself when she saw Airen blush and she ducked her head lightly to try and cover up the fact that her hair had now turned a shade of pink because she couldn't control her blush.

Relaxing a little as Airen rubbed her arm Charlotte sighed happily and nuzzled her head against his chest.

"Wow! So you have a pony now too? It sounds wonderful, I'd like to see them sometime, I just hope I don't make a fool of myself and fall off when I'm riding one."

She giggled, she could easily see that happening but she hoped that it wouldn't. Charlotte didn't think she could take the shame.

"I don't have any pets except Hannibal...although Father used to have several snakes and other birds of prey."

Unable to stop herself from flushing slightly at the wink Charlotte placed a hand on her cheek and smiled, the way that Airen had winked at her, although friendly, had made her heart flutter a little bit.

"Oh no! Don't exploit my tickle-ish-ness!" she laughed and poked Airen in the tummy "I'll just have to find yours."

Airen smiled to himself when Charlotte ducked her head down to hide her blush. They war both doing that a lot around each other. He felt his heart rate speed up somewhat due to her nuzzling his chest. Sighing in contentment, his heart slowed down, and he got his blush under control.

"Yes, and thankfully, I'll be going for another visit before the end of the month. I'll bring you a picture. I'll be sure to start you off slow," he said, eagerly awaiting his visit to his aunt.

Airen smiled at Charlotte. She was always so doubting of her abilities. Airen vowed to try and get her self-confidence up. She was much more than she gave herself credit for.

"I can see Professor Smith with a falcon or hawk, but for some reason, I just can't picture him with snakes," he replied.

Airen tried to stifle a laugh when she poked his tummy, and he succeeded. But when she poked his side, he laughed.

"Okay, okay, you got me," he said through his laughter.

Charlotte was glad that Airen was going to visit his Aunite again, it seemed to bring him an awful lot of happiness and she wanted him to be as happy as possible, even if that meant he wasn't with her all the time, it was just another person to worry about, but she didn't mind.

"Awwwh thank you Air! Hopefully I'll be able to draw them before I go so I can give it to your Auntie as a present for letting me stay. I hate to turn up without a gift."

Smiling happily Charlotte thought about all the horses at Airen's Aunt's house and how she would finally be able to ride one like she had always wanted.

"That'd be nice, after all, I don't think I'd be very good at the beginning."

Blinking a little Charlottes smile died slightly and she hugged Airen a little tighter, where she was suddenlt dawning on her again as she looked up into the shadow of the large house before them, she remembered she hadn't told Airen about her family, but didn't know if this was the right time.

"Not Cobalt, Father." she said quietly with a look back up to her family home.

Unable to stop a small giggle as Airen laughed as she poked his side, Charlotte did so again and a grin spread on her lips:

"Do I hear a please Air?" she laughed

"My aunt will try to get you to keep it. She doesn't like to take things from people. If anything, she'll give you a gift," he said. He smiled at Charlotte's concern about her appearing polite. He admired that quality of her.

"I'm sure you'll do fine. Most of it is just keeping balance."

Feeling her arms tighten around him, Airen sensed that Charlotte's thoughts were on a darker topic. He responded and wrapped his arms tighter around her. He put his hand on her hair and petted it softly. He heard her mumble something, but he couldn't quite make it out. He decided to drop it. She'd tell when she was ready.

Airen was gasping for breath as Charlotte tickled him.

"Please, Charlotte, stop," he said, still laughing.

Charlotte hoped that she wasn't going to have to grapple with Airen's auntie to actually take the gift from her, after all, she wanted her to have something to remember her visit by as well as giving her something out of politeness.

"I might just have to artfully leave it in her room and then leave before she notices that I've left it there." she grinned "Do you think that would work?"

Keeping balance was something that Charlotte wasn't great at, she wasn't clumsy, but she wasn't that acrobatic either, she was just normal.

"I'll have to work on that before I go over there then." she smiled.

Unable to stop a small purr of contentment as Airen patted her hair Charlotte looked instead at him, rather than her house, and decided that she should try and forget about that topic for today, she didn't want to spoil their time together.

"Alright alright, I'll yeild."

With that Charlotte stopped tickling him and pulled her tongue out.

"I think that would work. Just be sure to leave a note telling her to keep it," he said kindly. He thought of his aunt. She was a nice person, and she'd try to mail it back if it didn't have a note telling her to keep it.

"You can if you want, but it'll be pretty easy," he said. He remembered the first time he rode a horse. He was so afraid. He was clinging to his aunts leg.

Smiling at the purring emanating from Charlotte, Airen continued petting her hair. She seemed happier, and for that he was glad. She was always so sweet that it hurt him to see her hurt or sad. He looked down and met her eyes. They were a beautiful shade of red. He leaned down and kissed her cheek softly.

"Thank you," he said, still trying to catch his breath. When she poked her tongue out at him, he laughed again at how carefree they were.

Charlotte nodded, she often clashed with people who were too much like herself because neither her or the person would get anything done because both if them would want to do what the other person wanted to do and wouldn't back down.

"I'll make sure that I do, I'll write it nice and clear too so that she can't miss it, or think it says something else."

Unable to stop herself Charlotte purred louder at Airen's touch to her hair and she nuzzled her head against his hand, having been looking up into his eyes Charlotte blushed wildly as they grew closer, her blush only deepening when he kissed her cheek.

"Thank you Air," she smiled shyly, placing a hand over the cheek he had kissed before bobbing forward to kiss his forehead "Oh! Do you want a kiss?" she asked happily fumbling a little in her pocket.

Grinning as Air got his breath back Charlotte laughed softly: "I might have gone too far, sorry." she said good-naturedly.

Airen nodded his head in acceptance. "I'm sure she'll get the message. She can read and speak English, so you don't have to worry about the language barrier," he replied.

Blushing, Airen briefly wondered if he shouldn't have kissed her cheek, but when she smiled, he felt good inside. He blushed when she asked if he wanted a kiss. It was true that he wanted to kiss her, but he felt as if he'd be forcing her.

"Only if you want to," he said bashfully. He bit his lip, trying not to blush and failing miserably. He couldn't help it. It was his inexperience with even crushes that brought out this side of him. A small boy who'd always thought that girls would never pay him mind. And thus, never really had any feelings toward them. Charlotte was the only exception.

After he'd regained his breath, he smiled kindly at Charlotte.

"Maybe a little, but I'm fine," he joked, holding his forefinger and thumb a few millimeters apart, showing how 'too far' was.

Charlotte hadn't even thought about the fact that Airen's Auntie might only speak Italian, she felt a little bad for that after all not all of the people in the world would be able to speak English and she wondered for a moment about learning another language.

"That's good, maybe I will have to try and learn a language, I feel bad for only knowing English."

When Charlotte looked back up she saw that Airen was blushing and she blushed too, she hadn't been thinking of a real kiss, but now of course she was, and she held the small thimble in her hand, giving it to Airen, she held it out on her palm.

"I read this book, Peter Pan, and Wendy gave Peter a thimble as a kiss, I was going to give you this, but if you want a real kiss..."

Blushing even more Charlotte felt her hair turn pink:

"I wouldn't mind giving you one, if you want."

Grinning Charlotte pushed his fingers together and pulled her tongue out at him. "I'm glad that it's only a little bit."

Airen laughed at the joke. He'd read Peter Pan, too. Smiling, Airen took the thimble. He put it in his pocket. Smiling apologetically, he bowed his head slightly. He knew that she'd kiss him if he asked, but he thought that that'd be taking advantage of her kindness. He placed his hand over hers, feeling tingles running up his arm.

"You don't have to if you're still not sure," he said softly. He squeezed her hand. He did want to kiss her, but he thought that she didn't want to yet. There're my insecurities, he thought.

Charlotte began to regret playing the slight joke on Airen, he was so sensitive when it came to things like this and she wondered if she had upset him, when he ducked his head down Charlotte sucked on her lip piercing and debabted about what to do.

"Why wouldn't I be sure?" she smiled softly, tilting Airen's chin up so that he could look into her eyes "I do want to kiss you."

And with that she gently pressed her lips to his, closing her eyes for a second, then breaking away with a sort of dazed smile on her lips, and unable to stop a childish giggle, Charlotte blushed.

"Was that okay?"

Airen smiled shyly. He was glad that she was sure. His restraint was lacking. He looked into her eyes. Blue met red in a loving gaze. He laid a hand on her cheek.

"I'm glad," he said.

When she kissed him, Airen closed his eyes. He'd never kissed a girl before, but this was magical, even by wizarding standards. When she drew back, Airen had a stupid grin on his face and his eyes were unfocused. When he heard her giggle, he shook his head too quickly wipe away the daze the kiss had put him in.

"E 'stato bello. I mean it was beautiful," he said, momentarily forgetting that he was in England. "Just like you," he added bashfully.

Charlotte looked into Airen's eyes as she moved away, her heart beating fast in her chest, this was the first kiss that she had willingly given away and it made her smile constantly.

Finally she had recieved her first kiss, gingerly Charlotte touched her fingers to her lips with a shy smile.

"I am glad that you liked it Air, I know I did, thank you, you know, for letting me do it."

Blushing a little more Charlotte couldn't help but giggle at the bashful look that Airen had on his face, and she had noted the dazed expression that he had when they had stopped kissing.

"Which one did you like better?" she asked with a smile, looking at the thimble and then back at Air with a small blush she hoped that he would say the latter, biting at her lips.

Smiling stupidly, Airen felt his heart rate slow down from being so fast. He could get used to this. He thought that this was the best first kiss ever given. Of course, that was most likely what every couple in love said.

"Your welcome. I think my head is still in the clouds," he added, still smiling like an idiot.

Hearing Charlotte giggle made Airen laugh with her. Here they were, working (or trying to) on her house, and they were sharing their first kiss. He wasn't ever going to forget this moment.

"This one," he said before pressing his lips to hers one more time. When he drew back, he was blushing, and he couldn't wipe the smile from his face.

Charlotte smiled happily when Airen said that his head was still in the clouds, it was good for her to know that he was as happy with this kiss as she had been, and that she hadn't let him down.

Tracing his lips, and his smile, with her finger Charlotte giggled again, the happiest she'd been in a while.

"Well you best get it back down here or I wont be able to kiss it in the future will I?" she joked

The sound of Airen's laugh was one that she very rarely heard but it was a lovely sound, it made her want to make him laugh even more so that she could hear it again.

Blushing she felt Airen kiss her again and this time she placed her hands on his shoulders, pressing her soft lips against his own and closing her eyes.

Airen smiled when Charlotte giggled. It was such a heavenly sound that he thought he could never get tired of that sound. He closed his eyes as she traced his jaw line. He leaned his head into her hand.

He chuckled at her comment about his head needing to get back down. He was glad that she was so carefree compared to the events of the end of term. Smiling, Airen bowed his head and mimed reaching up into the clouds and grabbing his head. He mimiced shoving it back on his body.

Airen smiled against the kiss. He was ruining short on breath and drew back, panting. He leaned his forehead against Charlotte's. A smile on his face

Charlotte felt her heart beat quicken once more when Airen broke the kiss and leant his head against hers, she threaded her fingers through his hair and played with it lightly, and gave him a small Eskimo kiss on his nose.

Unable to stop smiling like a complete idiot Charlotte just let the smile stay on her face.

"Youre a very good kisser Airen." Charlotte said with a large blush on her cheeks.

With that, Charlotte kissed him quickly again before shuffling around so that she was sitting in his lap, reaching her hand up to play with his hair, still unable to quite believe that they had just kissed.

"I hope that I'm as good, I've not done that before, properly anyway." Charlottes smile dimmed a little at a memory before shaking it off.

Airen smiled at Charlotte's comment about being a good kisser. He hadn't kissed a girl before, so he was glad that his first time doing it wasn't so bad. He smiled when she placed a kiss on his nose. He chuckled.

"Thank you. You're very good, too. I'm just glad that we both shared our first his with each other," he said, smiling down at her. He felt her playing with the hairs at the back of his neck. It sent tingles running down his spine.

He leaned down to kiss her once more. When he drew back, he realized that they still needed to work on the house, but he couldn't bring himself to move from this position.

Charlotte smiled happily, she didn't want to correct Airen, after all this was the first kiss she had willingly given away, she wasn't about to count the others as ones that were because she felt anything for the person.

"Yes, I couldn't have asked for a better person to give it to than you Airen."

Closing her eyes as Air kissed her again, Charlotte continued to gently run her fingers through his hair, tugging at the roots slightly, then a sharp caw brought her out of her daze.

It was Hannibal and with a gesture of his wing seemed to be telling her to get back to work.

"Do you reckon we should continue? Or should we have some food? I brought a picnic with me, just in case I got hungry, there's some juice in there too if you're thirsty?"

Airen blushed at the reply. He was glad that she thought he was the best to share a first kiss with, but he was still the same insecure boy who first came to Hogwarts. He smiled shyly.

"Thank you," he said, still bashful.

Airen whipped his head up to the sky when he heard the sharp caw. He saw Hannibal land in front of them. The bird seemed to gesture at the house, as if saying 'get back to work'.

"I think Hannibal is saying we should, but I am a tad bit thirsty," he commented. "So I think we should eat first," he finished.

Charlotte stroked a finger across his cheek, across his blush, and she smiled even wider than before, he was so sweet the way that he blushed, it was reassuring to know that he was as lost in these relationship things as she was herself.

Looking at Hannibal Charlotte stuck her tongue out at him.

"Youre just a big old spoil sport aren't cha Hannibal?" Charlotte joked, ruffling the birds feathers.

Moving over to the porch of the house, Charlotte gulped slightly and thought about the building in front of her again, how intimidating it was and ran to get the box and then ran back.

"Well I've got ham sandwiches, and some crisps, and I've also got some sweets if we get hungry, and either orange or apple juice."

Airen grasped the hand that was caressing his cheek. He placed a soft kiss on her palm. He smiled at her, tenderly. He felt so at peace here, with her. He smiled when she stuck her tongue out at Hannibal like he was a pesky older brother.

"Nah, I think he's just jealous," Airen commented jokingly.

Airen noticed that Charlotte seemed to tense up at the house. He wondered why she was so afraid of her home. When she rushed to get the food, he was sure that it was a sensitive topic, so he dropped it for now.

"Thank you for sharing, Charlotte," he said. He gently took a glass and filled it with apple juice.

Charlotte flushed slightly when Airen placed a kiss on her palm and she smiled happily, when she looked into his eyes she seemed to forget about the things around her, and focus purely on him.

It was a lovely feeling, especially given where they were now.

"Jealous? What of? He's been getting my hugs for years he can wait one day can't you?"

Directing this last part at Hannibal Charlotte smiled warmly and watched as Airen helped himself to some juice, taking some herself once he was done and settling down to eat her sandwiches.

"It's my pleasure."

Charlotte happily hummed to herself but her eyes zoned in on a passing wasp, not letting her gaze move from it until it had gone.

"I don't like wasps..."

Airen smiled at her blush. He got lost in her eyes. They were such a beautiful shade of red that he thought of naming that specific shade after her if it didn't already have a name. He smiled at how cheesy he sounded in his head.

"Maybe, but I think it's that he's jealous that now he has some one to contend with for your time," Airen commented. Airen smiled back at Charlotte, feeling butterflies in his stomach. He grabbed a ham sandwich and took a bite out of it. Listening to Charlotte's humming, he smiled at the tune. When she suddenly stopped, he followed her gaze to the wasp flying by.

"I know what you mean, I got stung on the chin by one once, but I learned that if you don't bother them, they won't bother you," he replied.
