Airen smiled and draped an arm lazily over Charlotte's shoulders, hugging her close to him. He thought about what the dragon would be like. Whether it would be as understanding and thoughtful as Epos, or more wild and in need of assurance of their good intentions.

"After breakfast sounds good. I'll pack some food for us to take," he offered.

Airen smiled at Charlotte's eagerness to see a dragon. He would've invited her to his family villa if it wasn't so far away in Firenze (Florence).

"I think you'll be able to sketch it. If it is somewhat tame, I may be able to pet it for awhile to get it to stay still," he said. He'd learned from Epos how to approach an untamed dragon, so they'd be fine there. The problem was the species.

Charlotte smiled softly and she let Airen gently tug her towards him, she didn't mind that and she liked being close to him to be honest, it made her feel warm, and loved, wrapping her arms around his waist Charlotte shuffled down so that she rested her head on his lap.

"I don't normally eat breakfast so I guess I'm going to have to try and eat something before we go, after all I don't want my stomach to rumble when we need to be quiet, how embarrassing would that be?"

Somewhat amazed when Air said that he would be able to pet the creature, Charlotte wondered if she might be able to do that same thing when they got to knwo the dragon well enough, biting her lip she asked:

"Do you think that if it likes us, I will be able to touch it too? Or should I stay away? After all I don't want to mess this thing up and get us hurt."

Airen looked down as Charlotte settled her head into his lap. He gave her a soft, kind smile. He was glad that she liked being so close to him.

"I'm sure you'll find something among the vast spread the elves make for us," he said, speeding his arms out as far as they could go to indicate how mush food she could choose from.

"Of course, you can. I'll handle the formalities. My family's familiar instructed me on how to approach dragons, so I'll teach you," he replied.

Charlotte smiled lightly, she didn't eat breakfast because she didn't like the things that the elves were making, quite the opposite she loved them all and was upset that she was unable to eat them. But Charlotte couldn't eat breakfast as it made her ill for the rest of the day.

"Maybe i'll have some fruit an yoghurt or something light like that, do you think that they do that? I mean, I've never really been to the breakfast sitting." she said with a small sigh.

Now even more excited that she would be able to pet the dragon Charlotte squeaked:

"Yay! I'll make sure that I memorise the whole thing that I'm supposed to do, after all I don't want to make it angry with us..." she said, realising how dangerous it was.

Airen nodded in acceptance of her planned meal. He'd heard how some people got sick if they ate a big breakfast. He didn't know that she had that problem, but now he did.

"I'm pretty sure that I've seen them on the menu," he replied. He looked over across the Black Lake and noticed how low the sun was. It wasn't indicating sunset yet, but he guessed that it was pretty late in the afternoon. He thought that they might want to head back, but he just couldn't bring himself to part with Charlotte yet.

"It's really quite simple. Be humble and ask permission. Dragons understand english, but they cannot speak it. If it lowers its head, then you can pet it," Airen explained. Dragons who were family familiars were different in the fact that they shared a telepathic link between the family and their firstborn, but he didn't want to bore Charlotte with that fact.

Charlotte nodded happily with a small smile, she looked across the lake to where Airen seemed to be looking and she smiled slightly, the sun was getting lower and the clouds were turning slightly pink as the sun started to sink in the sky.

"It's beautiful isn't it? I love the sight of the sun setting, it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen and it's even better when you see it from one of the towers."

Listening intently Charlotte was pleased that it was so simple! She had thought that there might be some sort of elaborate ritual that was needed to try and get the dragon to like you.

"Well that's a relief, I was worried that it was going to be really complicated. I suppose that's the same for lots of animals, like Hippogryffs and things."

Airen sighed happily. He liked being this close to Charlotte. It was so peaceful and serene. He looked over at Charlotte. The setting sun seemed to make her skin glow. He smiled and laid a hand over hers.

"I bet it is, and I'm glad that I have some one to share it with," he said softly. He blushed at how sappy he sounded for a guy. He hoped Charlotte didn't mind.

"I guess it is," he said. He finally made to get up. His legs protested at first, but eventually, they got used to bearing weight once more. He picked up the basket and extended his hand down to Charlotte.

"Shall I escort you back to the castle, milady?" he asked kindly, hoping she didn't mind going back to the castle for dinner.

Charlotte blushed lightly when she felt Airen's hand over hers, and she looked up into his eyes with a small shy smile on her lips, what he said was beautiful and it made her realise that Airen needed someone to be there for him, because he was lonely too just like she was.

"Well you can always share it with me now, if you want to that is, we can share everything together if you'd like." she replied with her small blush growing.

Seeing that Airen was moving to get up, Charlotte moved from his lap so she didn't let her head fall on the floor. With a happy smile Charlotte took his hand and stood up herself.

"Why thank you Air, I would love to be escorted back to the castle by a gentleman as fine as yourself." she giggled.

Airen smiled softly at her blush. He kissed her cheek. When she said, '...if you want to that is...' Airen couldn't help but smile at her humility. They both had that bit of self-confidence lacking. He was glad that he wasn't the only one, but he also wanted to give her more of it.

"I'd like nothing more," he said simply. He gave her a soft kiss on the lips. He smiled and began walking back toward the castle.

"I'll see you at the Forbidden Forest?" he asked.

When Charlotte was given the small kiss by Airen she blushed lightly, and was suddenly very averse to the idea of leaving her boyfriend, she wanted to stay with him and she was glad that they had a new definate time to meet, after all it would make her happy knowing that she was definately going to see him again then.

Gently she kissed him back as they neared the entrance hall to Hogwarts, Charlotte needing to go down to the Dungeons to get to the Slytherin common room, pecking Airen's cheek Charlotte hugged him and nodded;

"Yes, I'll see you at the Forbidden forest! Don't be late now!" she grinned as she walked down the corridor.
