No More Bump (Bri and Rich)

Briony was very glad that her baby had now been delivered, she had hoped that it would be an easy birth but it sure as hell had been painful if nothing else. Now it was done however she was the proudest mother in the world.

Deciding that she needed to get out fo the house she put Raven in her pram and wheeled her out to Diagon Alley, to look for some new clothes for her, she had hoped that they would do black or at least purple baby clothes...but alas most of them were horribly bright and garish.

Flicking her wand she opened up the door to Madam Malkins and looked around, pushing the pram over to the baby section, although she was tempted to ask the dressmaker to custom make all of Baby Raven's clothes.

Richard smiled to himself, something of a constant fixture on his face since little Raven had been born, as he used the portkey with his small but happy family to appear in Diagon Alley. He scanned the alley as they arrived, checking to make sure that it was safe, even if he didn't stop smiling.

Wandering into the clothing store with his wife and child (man he loved thinking that), Richard looked around at some of the clothes of display for children. He blinked a few times and tapped Briony lightly on the shoulder with a small smirk,

"Try and point out one outfit that isn't either white or a primary colour."

Briony smiled lightly, since Raven had been born Richard was going into over protective mode and she was a little bit glad of that fact, she was going to be able to relax now that she had done the really stressful part of getting the baby out of her, it was Richard's turn to have some of the workload.

When he tapped her on the shoulder, Briony turned her head and she frowned lightly at the clothes, as if she was cursing them for being any other shade but dark, after all not all the babies are going to be able to wear blue or pink. Sighing slightly she pecked him on the cheek;

"I think that we are going to have to get some clothes made for little Raven, perhaps some purples, and some dark blues, they would be nice." Briony smiled "What do you think to this?" she asked, holding up a dark purple dungaree dress.

Richard knew that his wife was going to be going into overdrive with the protectiveness but that just wouldn't do in his mind. She'd not long gone through the most painful of ordeals; giving birth. He was damned if he was going to let her worry herself about security. That was his job and he accepted it gladly.

Seeing his wife's reaction to the brightly coloured baby clothes, Richard chuckled a little bit and gave his wife a quick peck on the cheek before looking at some more clothes,

"Yes I think you might be right. I mean the colour changing charm only lasts about an hour and it would be a bit of a pain to redo it every hour just so she didn't look like some kind of rainbow child." he agreed with a smirk. He nodded as he looked at the dungaree dress, "I like it... the purple is a nice colour and the clothes are practical. It would look good on her I think."

Briony smiled happily when Richard agreed with her, it seemed as if they were going to have to make a lot of choices together now that they had something to make a choice over, she just hoped that there would be enough chemistry between them that they both knew already what they wanted to do about certain matters, and there wouldn't be any arguments.

"You're right, the colour change charm would be annoying to keep applying, plus, the clothes have little stupid things on them, I mean just look at that, it's a cupcake with a smiley face, in what world does a cupcake have a smiley face?" she rolled her eyes before putting the tshirt back.

When Richard told her that he liked the dress she had picked out, Briony smiled, it was her favourite colour, and she picked up a lighter coloured plain tshirt to go under the dress.

Showing them to Raven she asked, in the voice she used to speak to everyone; "You like the outfit baba?"

So far, Richard was happy to note, there hadn't been any differences in opinion on how to raise Raven. There were bound to be some in the future but they were way down the line. In all liklihood the chances were that their first and only argument would be over something like ear peircing at the age of 11 or something,

"But we can still use it if it gets dirty and we get caught out. Of course I could probably transfigure the clothes into a new set." he chuckled a little bit as he gestured at the cupcake, "I thought it was a muffin... I can't see what the muffin is smiling about. On that one it looks like the tiger is about to eat him."

Richard was quite a fan of the colour purple, mainly because it went so well with black and black was what he normally wore. He smiled down at Raven and waved at the baby,

"You want to be dressed in purples and blacks don't you Raven?" he asked the baby, who merely gurgled a little. He smirked at Briony, "I say we take that as a yes."

Briony looked at the tshirt closer and she couldn't help but smirk a little, now that she looked again it did look like a muffin, but she wasn't sure what it really had to do with a tiger, it seemed to be completely random as to why they had chosen that in the first place, but deciding that she wouldn't mention it to Richard, Briony shook her head with a grin.

"Well we don't really understand the world of kids clothing obviously Richard, which is why I think that we should just clothe her like a little mini adult, then it will solve all our problems and she'll always look the best in the crowd of marshmallow pinks."

Hearing her baby Raven gurgle was the only thing that Briony had as an inclination as to whether she actually wanted to have the clothes or not, it sounded like a happy gurgle though, so she made up her mind to get these clothes.

"I think it sounds like a yes too, and you have very good taste Raven, just like your mother." smirking a little Briony looked around and spotted some black jean like clothes, and she held them up, looking for a shirt or something to go with them.

"Do you think that they will do any shirts and waistcoats here?" she asked with a hum.

Richard had to admit that the little design of the muffin and the tiger was cute but it really didn't have much to do with his child in anyway so it was rather impractical to buy it. He hummed a little bit in agreement with Briony as he looked over the shelves. Heck, Richard barely understood the world of adult fashion, let alone child fashion,

"I don't think we do and I don't think I care to understand if all these pinks are the option." he said with a grimace before grinning, "A good idea my love. If worst comes to worst we could just buy adult clothes and shrink them down. She'll be the best dressed baby around."

He chuckled a little bit and reached down into the pram to tickle little baby Raven under the chin, smiling happily as he did so,

"Oh yes I do believe little Raven is going to be a lovely genius like her mother." he cooed to the baby before smirking at his wife, "She takes more after you than me after all. I'm beginning to think that all she got from me was her eyes. Lucky for her, she'll end up as beautiful as her mother then."

He looked around the shop before blinking,

"Well... they have a baby shirt over here. I don't really know the english for it actually..." he gestured at the white shirt, "It's like one of those old shirts. With the... frilly bit on the front."

Briony couldn't help but smile lightly when she watched her husband and her daughter interacting together, this was what she had hoped that her first pregnancy would be like, she had hoped that she would have been able to watch this happening.

Now however she could, and the only thing that would have made this moment even better, was if they were all at home, and they were all having bonding time together in Raven's nursery.

"Now, that is a good idea Richard. Never be said that I'm the brains in this division, I think that if we try another shop and there's nothing in there, we raid the adult section." she smirked.

Chuckling a little Briony shook her head, she didn't think that was true at all, but perhaps they would see when the baby grew older; "She is only a few days old Richard, we can't really tell what she's going to turn out like yet, although the eyes are definately yours."

When he mentioned the old style shirts, Briony beamed and she walked over to it, it was lovely, a little shirt with black ribbons to do it up in the center. Grabbing it quickly, she also got another one, a devious grin on her face;

"Well if we can shrink adult clothes we can enlarge baby clothes, I've always wanted one of these shirts."
