Tessa laughed at that thought. “ How I hate potions and there has only been one lesson.” She already decided that potions was most likely her least favorite class. But she knew that Damien loved it. Maybe he could help her next time.

“Damien, why don’t' we stop pretending. Everybody knows that you like me. And that you like me, we aren't fooling anybody here.” She then started to sigh, she hated to put on an act when nobody believe it.

Tessa wished that there was an easier way.

Damien thought about it and it was getting harder to be mean to her he wondered what would happen if he just started being nice to her.

"You know I now I should, but I will try it for this weeks lessons and we will go from there. Does that sound agreeable for you?"

Tessa smiled, cause she knew how hard it was for him to even pretend to be mean to her. And she knew the reason behind this was for his parents. Which she really didn’t' get, but she didn't understand how a pureblood family worked. And she knew that was something about him that she would just have to accept. She couldn't understand why they had to pretend. Tessa hated the feeling like she had to wear a mask, just to pretend.

“ You are going to try and be nice? It really isn't that hard, just be who you are when you are alone with me.” She knew that this might be hard, but everybody knew that they loved each other. It really didn't make a difference if they would put on a show or not. “ That does sound agreeable. Now you are going to show up to all of your classes?” She was grinning. “ Or do I have to point out to my father that you skipped your first charms lesson. And then you will get in trouble, and I would talk him out of giving you detention. But maybe writing an essay.” For some reason Tessa was loving this. She was glad that her father was a professor.

Damien had been thinking about what he wanted out of this relationship. He wanted it all. He could not believe he had fallen for this beautiful creature.

He had already decided in the few minutes that he didn't care any more what people thought. He was tired of of people telling him what to do, and as far as anyone knows

Placing his arm back around Tessa's shoulders and pulled her close.

"I will do whatever I can too make you happy, and I will tell everyone off. You just have to make sure that you have my back. Its going to get nasty."

Tessa smiled, she was glad that she was in a relationship with Damien. She then remembered what Alcyone told her. That she was lucky that she found someone like Damien. And to never let another girl try to take him away from her. And she was never going to let anybody try that.

She could tell that he was changing just a little bit for her. Which this made her happy. Tessa was happy that she wasn't going to have to pretend anymore. It seemed like the whole school already knows. Just by the way they act in class. They thought that it was cute that she was always auguring with Damien.

Tessa loved it then Damien put arm around her. It made her feel like she was safe. She was grinning when he told her that he would do anything to make her happy. And just by telling her that was making her happy. She would have his back no matter what, and she knew that it was going to get nasty. But she decided that she was ready for anything.

Damien was watching Tessa's facial expressions and it looked like she was thinking of something very interesting because she kept smiling. He had hoped that what he had said that she was happy too.

"Sickle for your thoughts?" Damien said into her ear, just so he could smell her hair.

Tessa was still smiling. “ I was just thinking about what you just said now. I was thinking of what Alcyone talked up in the owlery.” He knew that he was looking at her smile. But she smiled most of the time, so why would right now be any different.

She then laughed when he said sickle for your thoughts. Tessa was used to the wizarding money yet. “ I have never heard that one. But I have heard a quarter for your thoughts.” She knew that he whisper into her ear, just to smell her hair. Because she knew that he loved it.

Damien looked a little curious when she said she had talked to Alcyone he was wondering what she had told Tessa.

"So, what did you and Alcyone talk about?" Damien was a little nervous, this was the girl that he had met over the summer and had an attraction to.

"Well, what did she have to say?"

Tessa blink. “ Why are you curious who I talk to? I meet her the other day, she is seemed really nice.” She really didn't want to tell him about at first they was fight. Or as that is what Tessa though. And she really didn't want to mention how mean she was to Yasmina at first. But she then started to smiled.

“ Oh she just told me that I was lucky to find you. And to make sure never to let another beautiful girl steal you from me.” She then remembered that there was more, but she promised never to tell anybody about it. She then remembered that she had to talk to her father later, because she remembered that she promised to do something for Alcyone.

Damien just wanted to know what she had said.

"I was only curious because you said it was Alcyone, that is all." Damien had really like that girl during the summer.

"Yeah I can imagine that is exactly what she said to you." Damien said sarcastically.

Tessa was shocked, because she wasn’t' expecting Damien to ask her what they talk about. And she wasn't about ready to tell about what they talked about. It was just going to stay between her and Alcyone.

“ Damien I am not about ready to tell you are whole conversation. Because that is rude to even ask. That would be like me going up to one of your friends and asking what you talked about. And if you must know it, we are best friends now.”

She then started to pick up on his sarcasm. “ What we talked about it is personal and as her new best friend, I am not saying a word.” Tessa was grinning, cause she knew Damien wouldn't stop till he knew everything.

Damien was starting to get very irritated at the fact that she was best friends with Alcyone.

"Why did you have to be best friends with her, it couldn't have been someone else in the school."

Damien removed his arm from around Tessa again.

"With her being your best friend that mean I am going to have to see her too." Damien grumbled.

Tessa was shocked how Damien was acting selfish. She could tell that he didn't like the idea that she was best friend with her.

“ I will have you to know, that girl had a rough life so far, and if me being her best friend. Just makes it a little better, then I will know that I have done something for somebody else and not myself.” She was taught from an early age that she had to do things for others and then cared about herself.

She then could feel that Damien removed his arms. And she knew that this was going to backfire on her. Because she knew that Damien had feelings for her. And also Alcyone still had feeling for him. In the end she knew that she would regret this. “ No you don't have to see her all the time.”

Damien had stop walking at this point he was at a loss of what to think or feel.

"I am very well aware of her life, it doesn't take a genius to figure it out." Damien knew exactly and Alcyone didn't have to tell him anything he could see it.

Damien could not face that even though he was trying to love Tessa he could not forget that electric charge he had felt when he rubbed that cream on Alcyone. He could tell that she was broken and he just wanted to fix her and make her all better.

Tessa knew that they stop walking. She then could tell that maybe it wasn't the best idea to talk about Alcyone. Tessa could tell that he still had deep feeling for her, even deeper than he had for Tessa. The more and more he talked about her the more she realized that he loved her, and would always love Alcyone. Tessa was just something to have till he got what he wanted. She knew that Alcyone had a hard life, but so did Tessa. And a day hadn't passed by where she doesn't think where she came from. She could tell that he was trying to love her, but she didn't want to believe any of this. Tessa then remembered that Alcyone asked if she could talk to Damien alone. And at this time she had said yes, but she wondered if she made a mistake.

She then pretend to smile a little bit. Tessa knew that she could always fool the world when she smiled. Even if inside she was crying and felt broken. “ She asked me if she could talk to you alone.” Tessa wanted to scream and would love to have just said no. But she felt sorry for her and told her that she was alright with it. But in the end she knew that she wouldn’t end up happy. There is no such thing as a happy ending. Because nothing ends, it just keeps going on.

Damien could not believe what she was saying that she said that Alcyone wanted to have a meeting with him, sure now she wanted to have a meeting. Why hadn't he been man enough to just walk up to her and talk to her, but no he felt he didn't want to push her.

"Well I guess, if she really wants to talk to me, she knows how to send a owl." Damien wished that Tessa never would have brought it up.

"Suddenly I really do not feel like eating, I believe I am just going to go to my room." He wrapped Tessa in a hug and gave he a kiss on the cheek. He did still love her too, and he wasn't going to ignore that fact.

Tessa smiled a little bit, she could tell that Damien was now confused about Alcyone. And she really didn’t' know what to to think of it. She had wished that she never told Damien about her and Alcyone. Because she knew that he liked him and he liked her. And with all of this she felt like she was in the middle. And she started to feel all confused about this.

“ I am guessing that she wanted to meet you in person. Anybody could send an owl.” She really didn't know how to feel about this at all. But she started to feel a little bit jealous. And this was something new to her. Because at the orphanage, she had nothing to be jealous of.


“ I am not feeling that well, so I think I will just call it an early night.” She knew that this would give her an excuses not to stay. Tessa them hugged him back. “ I guess that I will see you later?” Tessa then reached down and grabbed the handle on Yasmina. She would be ready to go once he responded to her.

"She could have sent me an owl to arrange a meeting, but that neither here nor there" Damien thought

Damien could tell that she was jealous of Alcyone and if he was in her place her would be too, and he knew that is why she wanted to end the conversation by saying she was sick.

"I hope you feel better and I will talk to you later." With that Damien walked away towards his room wondering if he should send a note.

Tessa wasn't going to bother with say anything else about Alcyone wanting to meet up with him. Because she knew nothing more and really didn’t' really feel like talking about it.

She knew that she shouldn't be jealous, because she knew that Damien loved her. But she wondered if that was enough for him. She then remembered her sister, Salina telling her the story about the lady on the lake. And she knew that she was talking about Alcyone, because she was trying to warn her about Damien. And she knew that he would see right through he lie saying that she was sick, but really didn’t' want to talk about Alcyone any more.

“ I should feel better, once I lay down and get some sleep.” Tessa knew that she wasn't sick and would be up for hours thinking about this. “ I will see you later Damien.” She then grabbed Yasmina and then started to head for the Gryffindor Tower.
