Leshia was about to go ahead and walk over and wake them up when she noticed that Yasmina had walked up to them and stared at Leshia.

Leshia got down on her hands and knees and looked at Yasmina then back at the couple.

"Yas this is my friend Keiba, she is also Tessa's friend." Leshia petted the dog. "Shall we go wake them up, its almost dinner time."

Leshia pulled Keiba over with her. Leshia told Keiba to go to one side and Leshia took the other side then together they yelled.

"Awww..isn't this so cute." Keiba and Leshia both sat on the ground laughing. "You do realize its almost dinner..right?"

Yasmina was loving it that Leshia was being petted. She then walked over to Keiba, just to get to know her. She then decided that she could trust her. Yasmina then walked back over to Damien and Tessa. She then tilted her head to see what they was doing.

Tessa then opened her eyes quickly when she heard someone was yelling. Her mind started to flashback to when she was at the orphanage when someone would yell at her. She did what she would normal do, she started to panic and started to cry.

Damien was enjoying the dream he was having, it was the most beautiful thing he could have ever imagine. And just as it was getting to the best part of the dream was was awoken by a couple of nitwits.

Just when he was about to yell at the girls he noticed that the girl in his arm was shaking and crying.

"Tessa, Tessa?" Damien pulled her close to him and moved himself around so her face was in his chest. He started rubbing her back talking into her ear telling her everything was going to be ok.

He looked up at Leshia and growled "What did you think you were doing, scaring her like that?" Damien was a little upset with Leshia, if there was anyone he knew that showed have known better was her.

Leshia could not believe that she had scared Tessa so much, it was only meant to startle, but she must have been a little louder than she expected becasue the next thing she knew was Tessa was crying and shaking.

"Oh my Tessa, I didn't mean to scare you, I am so sorry." Leshia said trying to help by rubbing her back.

Next thing she knew was Damien was yelling at her.

"God Damien I didn't mean to scare her at all, so don't yell at me."

Tessa was still crying into Damien's chest. She was still shaking like a leaf. Tessa knew that Leshia didnt' mean to scare her. Yasmina then ran beside of Tessa, trying to calm her down. When she heard Leshia and Kebia yell, it was like she was back in the orphanage being yelled at again.

She then started to scream. “ No... No....No”

Damien was not sure what was going on. He knew that Leshia and Keiba were a little loud but it should not have sent her into this kind of state.

Damien looked at Leshia and Keiba

"Why don't you too head back inside and I will deal with this." Damien didn't yell at them this time, he didn't want any more yelling because this is what seemed to set Tessa off.

Damien watched as Leshia and Keiba walked away then turned to Tessa.

"Tessa, Tessa, its ok. Its just you and me. Come on, we are at the lake." The way she acted was like she was somewhere else.

Tessa was still crying and shaking. She keep saying No over and over. This hasn't happened for a while, but that was because she was always at the orphanage. But know that she was adopted and had a family. Things were different. “ Please don't yell and me, I swear I will get it right. Please headmistress don't hit me again.”

Damien was at a loss at what to do she just kept yelling No, and begging not to be hit again.

Damien tired to shake Tessa a little trying to bring her out of whatever state she was in.

"Tessa come back..your at hogwarts, its ok. You ok."

Damien had never seen anything like this it almost made he want to cry.

He just help her close trying to get it to stop.

"What can I do?"

Yasmina then seen this and started to run back up to the castle. Tessa was still crying and repeating over and over no . After a couple of minutes, Yasmina ran back down to the lake with a teddy bear in her mouth. She then walked over to Damien and Tessa.

She then dropped it in front of them. And then she then started to watch them.

Damien was so afraid for Tessa this was diffidently out of reality of the moment and he didn't know what to do. He thought he would have to carry her to the hospital wing if he had too.

Next thing Damien saw Yas take off. Now why would the dog just take off like that, then the next thing he knew Yas had come back with a teddy bear. He wondered what that meant.

Damien picked up the teddy bear and placed it in Tessa's arms.

"Here you go Tessa, Yasmina brought you a friend." Damien was never a stuffed animal person, but then its really a girl thing.

Once Tessa felt that the teddy bear was in her arms, she started to calm down. You could tell that it was getting old but Tessa loved it none the less. She then was sniffling, when she realized that she was with Damien. And she really wished that he didn't have to see her like that.

Damien felt Tessa calm down and he was really happy for that. He was very upset that she was freaking out like she was but it was better now.

"So are we doing a little better now, you kind of had me worried?"

Damien and scared and crying girls just never worked for him.

Tessa was still holding her teddy bear. “ I should be better.”

She then sighed a little she knew that she had to tell him about it.

“ Do you want to know why I was freaking out?”

[Guest]

Damien wanted to know what happened be he really did not want to push her for information he was just glad she was calling down.

"Tessa I would love to know what you are going through, but you really do not have to if you do not really want too."

Damien hoped that she would tell him so he would know how to maybe not let it happen again.

Tessa sighed a little bit. “ Well you know that I grew up in an orphanage.”

She then took a breath, she had never told this story to anybody. Not even her adopted family.

“ There was the headmistress who would beat me, every time that I got something was wrong. Which happened a lot. But there was some of the older kids that would look out, after they caught on to why I had scars on my back.”

[Guest]

Damien had heard her tell him before about growing up in an orphanage but he did not realize exactly how much pain she went through.

"I imagine those scars on your back are from a whip." Damien thought about his own back from his own father.

Damien just held her tightly to him "But you do not have to worry about those things anymore. Given time you will stop doing this."

It had not been that long since she had left the orphanage so the terrors of the place are going to be very upfront in her mind.

Tessa sighed. She hated it when she thought about growing up. It was so horrible.

She then nodded her head. “ And anything else the headmistress could get her hands on.”

Tessa loved it that Damien was holding her. “ Promise?”

[Guest]

Damien thought about it and with so many unknowns in the future he could never promise that everything would be perfect but he would try.

"I can promise you that we will get through anything and everything that we can."

Damien noticed it was starting to get dark.

"Well we better get back inside before we miss Dinner and Leshia and Keiba come back looking for us."

[Guest]

Tessa smiled when he promised that they would get through anything and everytthing.

“ I am getting kind of hungry and I am sure that Yasmina is hungry too.” She wanted to forget everything that had just happened.

Damien smiled and got up off the ground and started brushing off his clothes.


"You realize that this is twice I have gotten down in the dirt for you. At least there was no smelly animals this time." After brushing himself off he reached down and grabbed her two hands and helped her pull herself to the ground.

Noticing that she had some dirt on her he started brushing her off.

"Don't worry I am not getting fresh with you." Damien had to laugh at his comment

"Yes I am too getting a little hungry, lets go." Damien placed his arm around her shoulder as they walked back to the castle.

Tessa smiled as she could feel that he was brushing the dirt of her. “ The Kneazle where not smelly and there was nothing wrong with getting a little bit dirty.” She then yawned a little, she was enjoying her small nap before she was woken up. She couldn't remember what she was dreaming about. But that was normal when she woke up. They then started to walk back up to the castle.

“ So did you have a dream, before our nap got interrupted?”

Damien placed his arm around her shoulder as they began the trek back to the castle and he had to laugh about what she said about the kneazles.

"Yes I think I still have their stink on me" Damien had to laugh.

Then she wanted to know what he had dreamed about, but he was not sure how she would feel about what she said.

"I had a very interesting dream, and I hope it comes true."

Tessa was smiling. “ They didn’t' stink Damien. I think you are over doing it.” She then paused. “ One day I want a Kneazle.”

She knew that he wouldn't tell about his dream, but Tessa wasn't going to stop.

“ Must have been good if you want it to come true.”

[Guest]

Damien was glad that Tessa couldn't see him do it but he was sure she would be able to sense him rolling his eyes when she said she wanted to have one.

"I recall saying in CoMC that you would want one." Damien laughed, he would give her anything she wanted, she made him whole.

"Well in my dream I was with the beautiful woman with long brown hair, with these gorgeous hazel eyes. We lived in this big home, with a few elves to help out. There were 3 children, all girls. I imagine a house full of girls were driving me crazy. They were all as beautiful as their mother."

Damien smiled at the thought.

Tessa laughed. “ Sounds like you had a good dream.” She then smiled a little bit. “ It sounds so perfect, do you think that it will every come true?”

“ I always wanted a cat growing up, but I never had one before. I never had a dog till I got Yasmina.”
