Ah Potions, once more she was in this position. She fixed all the desks the same way as they were the prior week and this time she sat behind her desk, wanting to study each student as they came in. Depending on their actions would she choose what potion to give them, either something simple, if not more complicated.

Lesson Four: Potions Empty Re: Lesson Four: Potions

Pxyis' entered the classroom and was happy to see that she was the first to arrive. "Hello Professor. Valentine," she greeted the teacher, feeling it would be awkward to sit in utter silence. She took a seat in the 2nd row closest to the door and placed down her bag.

Not wanting to sit there in an awkward silence with the teacher, she busied herself with setting up her potions book, parchment, quill and ink just in case they were needed. She also got out her cauldron and placed it neatly on the desk, before skimming through the potions book.

Eager for what he thought was his favorite class, despite having a difficult hold on it, Parker set off for class, really not wanting to be late. When he walked through doors he realized he was quite early, giving an internal and the only other person in class was Pxyis, which he readily took his seat next to, making being so early much less terrible.

"Hey, Pxyis." He said, taking his seat as he then began to take and set up his things much like she did.

Pxyis didn't look up from reading as she heard someone enter the classroom. Instead, she continued to skim over the writings about some potion that gave you luck. Her eyes flicked to the title, Felix Felicis. She'd heard of that, it's nickname was Liquid Luck. She wondered if they would be studying it in class next year. Next year, when she was a 2nd year, was her excited thought.

She only looked up from her book when she heard the scraping of a chair beside her. She saw Parker setting up his stuff, and she smiled. Somehow, he always made a bad day better. "Hey Parker," she greeted him after he had said hello to her.

"So, any clue what we're doing today?" His mind was also filled with ideas and hopes for the next year and what they'd be learning. He had plans of filing up his time looking up new things and expanding his knowledge about aspects of the wizarding world he still had yet to understand.

Not mention making sure to write back to Pxyis' letters when she wrote him over the break. He'd never had anyone to write letters to before and the though made him smile a little wider as he pulled out his own book.

"Not at all. I hope we'll be learning about this potion sometimes soon, it's Felix Felicis," she pointed it out in her potions book, sliding the book in between them on the desk. "It's also known as 'Liquid Luck'," she knew he wouldn't have a clue what it was, so like usual she began to explain without the need of him asking.

"It's basically just a potion that gives you luck, so whatever you need to do will most likely succeed because of this little potion. It's extremely complex though, so we most likely won't ever brew it, and if we do at least not until 7th year," Pxyis sighed, but then her eyes lit up.

"Im so excited for 2nd year, aren't you? Oh gosh, it's going to be so-oo much fun!" Pxyis squealed.

"Hello Professor Valentine, I am Humphrey Williams. First year Gryffindor. What is the plan for our final potions lesson of the year?" he asked after he walked into the Potions Classroom. He introduced himself and then sat down in the second row of desks.

Charlotte raced to the classroom, her favourite lesson! Potions! She was so excited to get started on the next potion that they would be doing, opening the door to the classroom she saw that Pyxis and Parker were already there, and she sent a smile at them then sat down next to them.

"Hello guys, I'm excited for second year too! I hope that there are some interesting first years joining as well."

"Hey Char!" Pxyis smiled as she sat down next to them. "I hope so too. Im really excited." Pxyis beamed at her, then she lowered her voice, hoping Parker wouldn't hear the next bit as she leant into Charlotte. She didn't want to seem rude, discussing another friend coming over in front of your best friend.

"You still want to come over? Im going to be really bored if im stuck home all break. Even if its just for a week that you come over, it'd make my holidays?" Pxyis muttered to her.

Charlotte grinned happily and she nodded her head, she had hoped that Pyxis wouldn't have forgotten about her coming to her house, but didn't want to seem rude by reminding her, she thought she probably needed some time with Pyxis since they hadn't spoken that much for a while.

"Yes of course I would love to still come over to your house in the holidays, I've been looking forward to it very much!"

She smiled but made sure to keep her tone of voice low so that the Professor wouldn't get angry with them for talking.

Airen walked into the classroom thankful he wasn't late. He sat down near the front of the classroom, while sending a small smile to Charlotte. He sat down quickly. Taking out his quill and parchment, he sat ready to take the appropriate notes.

Post by Victoria Rossmund Wed Jan 25, 2012 7:24 am

Victoria was anxious for her first potions class. She had always done well in science back at her old school, making sure to be precise on measurements, but she wondered how this would be different. She saw a Gryffindor sitting near the front. She had seen him in passing but had never actually met him. "Hi, I'm Victoria. Would it be alright if I sit with you?"

Tabi walked into potion class, she was glad the year was almost over. She was ready to go home for awhile.

She walked up to the desk up front where she was last lesson. She looked at Pxyis and Charlotte who were already there she gave a slight wave, she was still a little upset that Pxyis would not talk to her. She wanted to apologize but Pxyis would not listen.

Tabi set up all of her equipment and waited for the class to began.

Opening the door, she walked in as she usually did. Potions did bring her some joy, but she was growing weary of classes, instead could not help but head home and be with her parents. Noticing that there was already a group of Slytherin's there, she'd really preferred to be alone. She decided to sit in the back of her row, wanting to find the exit the fastest, and wanting to have some privacy as she began to doodle waiting for the class to begin.

Leshia walked into potions class taking a place behind Pxyis and Charlotte waiting on Salina to make it to class.

She placed her cauldron and any other items she might need and had it all set up and ready to go.

She took a moment to say hi to her friends in front of her before the class started.

"Hey, guys..Ready for the last potion class?"

When Pxyis started talking about the Liquid luck, Parker was hooked. He'd never imagined they would be able to make such things, and thought of what else they could do excited him more then the what was apparently simple stuff. He definitly wanted to look up more about the potions they'd be working on in the future.

"Im so excited for 2nd year, aren't you? Oh gosh, it's going to be so-oo much fun!" He smiled at that. He'd definitely be excited for coming back and not being home. Not to mention learning all new things and meeting new people, not to mention the first years, like Charlotte had said, whom he gave a small smile to when she sat down. He nodded. "Definitely."

He looked back down to his classbook, opening it and skimming through it another time, looking at some of the notes he'd marked down in his own time, trying to think of ways to make the brewing process easier for himself.

After Leshia spoke, he looked up and over at her, giving her a small smile and wave.

Corinne entered her potions classroom with her head down. She looked around for a spot to sit, and decided to sit on her own. So she did, and once she had set up her gear, she skimmed through her potions book.

She really wished she could cry into Salina's shoulder right now.

Post by Humphrey Williams Wed Jan 25, 2012 12:52 pm

Humphrey walked into potions, curious to see what the final lesson of first year would be. If his other classes were anything to go by, then it would be a more complicated and exciting potion than the others they had learned. "So, do we know what we are going to mix up today yet?" he asked the room in general.

Salina arrived to her potions lesson well after everyone else. She saw Leshia and sat down next to her. "'allo mine sœur," she had now resorted to thinking of Leshia as her sister, whilst her own sister sat in the back sulking about something.

Leshia was glad that Salina had finally showed up she was getting kind of lonely.

"Hello to you too my dear sister."

Leshia noticed that she had glanced back towards her sister so she looked too. It was obvious that something was bothering her and Leshia wondered if by chance it was the same thing that has been bothering Tabi.

"You know I have notice that Corrine and Tabi both have been a little on the depressed side lately, I wonder if all there housemates not talking to them is starting to take its toll". Leshia had whispered into Salina's ear as she looked towards Tabi then back at Corrine

What Leshia said made perfect sense, so Salina nodded. "That ees most likely eet. I am also suspicious zat Corinne 'as seen ze error of 'er ways, and ees depressed. She does not like change," Salina told Leshia.

"Zey will both be fine, I am sure of eet," Salina sent a reassuring smile to Corinne and then turned back to the front. She got all of her books and other items ready in front of her. "Zis 'as been an eventful year," she commented to Leshia.

LEshia thought about it and it had been a very eventful year.

"You know maybe you could ask your sister if she wanted to come too, maybe we could all sit down and solve everyones problems, becasue I think they have learned a hard lesson and they are not sure how to fix it."

She sighed seeing that soon the classroom was being filled with idle chatter.

"Enough, I don't run a class for students to dilly dally" she said frowning. "Now today I would like for you to partner up, before I assign you your potion for the day"

Lesson Four: Potions Empty Re: Lesson Four: Potions

Post by Guest Sat Jan 28, 2012 7:30 pm

Tabi looked around the room when the teacher asked them to find a partner.

Well looking at the students she could already tell who was going to be with whom.

Airen would be with Charlotte, Pxyis would choose Parker, Salina of course would choose Leshia her sister, Tess and Victoria would be together. She had watched them in all of her classes and since the teacher wasn't choosing the partners it didn't take a genius to figure out the pieces of this puzzle.

Looking at who was left she walked over to where Corrine was at she knew she didn't have a choice left, she was hoping that maybe they could become friends like their sisters.

"Hey, Corrine seeing that ten to one we can look and know who wants to be with who, maybe we can be partners?"
